Barron's Boatyard is not fancy but the service is excellent. Fred, the yard manager was super helpful and all of the launch drivers were great. I would give 5 stars except the showers would not produce hot water. Not a deal breaker in mid July but not great either. The restrooms and showers were in good shape. It was an easy walk to the main drag (probably true for all of the marinas on city Island) and the Nautical Museum was just a few blocks away. It is a must see.
My stay at PJYC was great. The staff were all accommodating and friendly. The facilities are solid with a comfortable lounge outside the restrooms and showers. Launch service was always quick and efficient. I would be happy to stay there again anytime.
The marina is scattered across a pretty large area and there is an old office building and restrooms that I mistakenly thought were still operable. The woman who answered the phone was as confused as I was about where I was berthed. We finally got on the same page and I was directed to the newer facilities. The restroom, showers and laundry are very nice. There is a very well stocked ship's store. Floating docks are fine. A good restaurant is 5 minutes away. The scenery on this part of the Hudson is quite nice.
The facilities and the people at LM Camden re nothing short of fantastic. We'e seen many marina showers in our 10+ years of cruising and these along with the lounge are by far the very best we've ever seen. Charlie, Cynthia, Paul and Nancy in the dockhouse have been courteous, kind and helpful the whole stay. LM rocks!
Andy and Amy are great owners and hosts! The facility could not be any more perfect. Bathrooms are THE BEST. The rest of the facility is up to par with any we've stayed. Urbanna Creek and the town are special. Lots of history. Very walkable.
Super helpful and friendly staff. First time here and they got me oriented over the phone and then had a dockhand waiting for us at our slip. Old East Greenwich is a short walk, with fabulous restaurants. Dave's Market is an easy cab ride and is fantastic as well.
Overall, it was a good stay. We were there for four days. The courtesy van was a great help. Facilities were clean and very easy to access. People were friendly, Staff were good. My only complaint was the pompous service does not start until after 9 am. I was not advised of that issue and waited until 9:30 with no success. Had to leave without pumping out. I would be better to know ahead of time that their schedule is restricted.
Rob was fantastic. Easy in and out, we stayed overnight on the T-head full dock. Krispy Kreme delivered right to your boat at 7am. My only issues was the wifi was very weak, even when I sat across from the marina office. I had a Zoom board meeting to attend and the latency was so bad I had to quit and call in on the phone.
This is a solid marina, with floating docks and easy access to Winn Dixie and West Marine. It's a bit further to the old St Augustine part often, but not that bad. Lots of cool places to stop along the way. Another plus is the San Sebastian River does not flow as hard as the Tolmato, so docking and undocking are a breeze.
