This is a hidden gem - this safe harbor is so wonderful- picturesque nestled at the head of Jamestown- everyone is so professional. I will definitely mark this as one of my favorites
While it is very welcoming that the yaght club opens its mooring up to boats passing though. The launch has to bring you to your mooring at the time we came in the conditions were 14 kts and I was asked to drive to nun 8 and stand by . It was difficult as I have a blue water sailboat. The launch came out after 40 minutes and brought us to our mooring which was an odd thing kind of like a bumper with a pendant on it. But I would rádio and call well before I was in the breakwater
Very nice small marina - bicycles - showers - easy to get to town- also they can help arrange repairs- however # 01 transit mooring ball is at the entrance and gets wave and wind activity- ask them to put you further in . Also pump out also if you are in need of repairs has available large network of specialists
Very nice to get on a mooring between Portsmouth and Portland - the mooring field is in wood island harbor- it’s gets a lot of swell from the ocean- but very welcome to pull over and take a break for a night. The staff of the yaght club is very professional and helpful
This harbor is great- the harbomaster and staff are fantastic- it is nice to see a strong working harbor and accommodations and services are right their - we are definitely coming back- pay attention to staying in the long winding channel to get into this gem
Wow the harbor master is hands on and professional. Very well organized harbor kayaking, paddle boarding, all there - pump drives around what a great time
This is a great place to stay close to town but far enough away that it’s quite at night : jessica the dock master is the best
