Nice quiet little marina. 0.5 mi walk to town through quiet neighborhood with a few nice restaurants. Art District has several neat shops. Great and friiendly support from staff. We were only transient and for a 45’ LOA, the only one they have room for. Avg facilities, but saw a few ants crawling in both bathrooms.
Dockhands and staff were friendly and helpful. In-marina restaurant was great. In-marina marine store was convenient. No wake from ICW. Rated 4 because their pump out required an adapter. But the plastic ones had stripped threads and would not seal properly. Thus no suction. Now have to make an unscheduled stop.
Staff was very friendly and helpful for fueling and docking (we were on the fuel dock). Showers and bathrooms were clean. Saved a lot on diesel with Safe Harbor discount. Will stay again on our return north in the Spring. Mainly a dry stack facility, so not many slips for larger boats.
Staff was very friendly. Matt runs a great team. Transient docks getting long on the tooth - splintery and cracked boards. Neighbor had problem getting 50A to connect. Thank goodness he had a Reverse Y adapter (2-30A to 1-50A/250) and a friend brought over and extension to use the 30A plug on my side of the finger pier. The biggie complaint is the poor wifi. Second is poor Verizon cell service. I know you don't really control Verizon, but if you constantlycomplain they might put in closer cell.
Once a marina we loved going to and now one to avoid. Not enough cleats for various boat sizes and configurations. Docks are old, cracked and dirty. Seagull poop all over. Roaches running around, especially near outdoor restaurant. Security gate was unlocked, probably because of the Tiki Bar and Harbor cruise boats. Transients are mostly on E-dock. This provides easy access to casino and hotel. But, very long walk to heads and showers. There is a much closer public head just behind the marina office, but old. Don't bother using this after a summer Thur, Fri, or Sat night. I will plan on staying in Cape May on our cruises to points North. Dockhand at the fuel dock was more interested in his cell phone than helping us with lines in a high beam wind. Then he went back to office after handing me the hose. What is something happened? Only reason for 2nd star was for Jack, the dockhand who helped us tie up. He was pleasant, polite and great with lines. Sad to see this great potential be wasted.
Newly upgraded and growing. We were going to anchor near Snow Island, but no easy dinghy shore access for our dog. And low temps would require the genset. We opted to stay here. Dock crew were amazing and friendly. Gourmet Sandwich shop had delicious selections, but closed at 3PM. We arrived at 2:30PM and they were kind enough to stay open until we finished. Narrow approach requires you to split their mooring field. NO-Wake buoy marks the center channel. Will stay again.
