Friendly staff, great location and clean! We love our trips to Chicks every year. Couldn't ask for a better experience, soup to nuts!
Great location, new docks, dock hands very friendly. Close to a small beach where they allow dogs prior to 9am and after 5pm, which made our pup happy. Easily walk into the Old Port and to all the wonderful restaurants that Portland has to offer. Be prepared for a VERY rocky stay from boat traffic. We had mechanical issues and dock master was nice to give us a name for a local mechanic. When it came time for departure and we were waiting on mechanic to finish fixing the boat, we asked for a few extra hours on the dock. Were told we could stay until 12pm (1 extra hour) and then needed to leave or pay for additional time on the dock. The other boat we were traveling with were told they needed to leave at 11. When we told staff we'd be happy to pay to ensure our boat was fixed and safe to navigate, Lauren could not tell us how much it would be and was clear she wanted us to depart. We would have happily moved to another slip or the outside dock to finish maintenance but were not afforded that opportunity. Any marina we have ever stayed at has always accommodated boaters with maintenance issues, mostly due to it not being safe to be underway with mechanical issues, so we were surprised to say the least. Marina has great potential, but customer service has growth opportunities.
We've loved visiting here for years. Friendly staff, clean facilities, great location! Easily get to Portsmouth, dingy up the river to BG's Boathouse or across the bay to Odiorne Point. Always look forward to our trips there!
Marina is in a gorgeous location. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Docks are newer, wide and easy to navigate. Facilities are new and very clean. Close proximity to downtown area. Recommend asking for an inside slip as the outside dock can get a little rocky from boat traffic during the day. Will certainly be back!
This is a quaint little spot in Gloucester. Docks are new and facilities clean. Easy walk to a few restaurants and galleries. Alicia was wonderful. There was an issue with the power pedestal upon arrival and she had an electrician there within 15 minutes to fix it. Lots of boat traffic and the No Wake buoy is just a short distance ahead which creates lots of rocking. But if you’re a boater you know what you signed up for! Glad Gloucester had another spot for mariners to enjoy!
Employees are always more than helpful, kind and courteous. Docks are great. Facilities are clean and bathrooms are air conditioned which is really nice! Love that they have a dog wash down. The fire pits at night are simply gorgeous. The ease of walking to beaches, restaurants, shops and the heart of Provincetown makes staying here all the better. We have been faithful transient customers here for the past ten years and will continue to be as long as we are boaters.
Easy docking, close to everything downtown. Bathrooms were clean. WiFi didn’t work for the two nights we were there, kind of a bummer since we had some bad weather and would have been nice to use. Restaurant was very busy! We will definitely come back.
The BD Wharf is quaint and convenient. You’re able to watch the ferries come and go and in spite of the boat traffic it is quite peaceful. Small beach at foot of pier is nice but restaurant uses it for service so you wouldn’t spend the day there. If you don’t have a dingy or don’t rent a car to explore the island you’re limited to what you can do given the location. Facilities are small but clean.
Such a quick and easy stop for us in between ports. Everyone is always helpful, kind and accommodating. Clean facilities and easy in/out of marina. Restaurants are close by and quick walk for morning coffee. Staff and deckhands friendly and helpful!
Amazing! The staff and deckhands were kind, courteous and helpful. Facilities were new and clean. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies and a small gift. The marina is in the middle of all attractions however is quiet and we did not have the foot traffic peering into our boat that we've had at other marinas nearby. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! Will definitely be back!
