(date??): Crew there was great; very pleasant and helpful!!! bathroom facilities were less than expected...shared public, not marina men's and lady's...a bummer. docks and such were great. great protected location. hope to go again sometime this year! .... 2020: well, we went again for the 4th and again it was outstanding! 3 boats shared a finger dock (comfortably) which was unexpected and appreciated! Watched sunset from the marina, awesome. Breakfast at Belle's, awesome! can't wait to go back... ......... Mem Day wkend 2021...forecast nothing to brag about, but they (Tony) let us arrive early Friday so we got one good day. same great attention to transients.s ------- Mem Day wkend 2023...we stayed once or twice last year but did not update the review. Charlie and his crew are awesome as ever! Changes: bathroom facilities trailer!- welcome addition. Good security. Previous stays we had always been on the north side of the yard, along the bridge road (very protected from winds but tight.) ..this time on the south side. Easy in/out but the fish pier was right across the way and ....we knew it all weekend.. beyond this, it's a great marina/shipyard. super impressive super yacht operations...and Belle's is great (go early). see you in a few months!!
4-stars in my book is very good. This marina is in a great central location, attached to a hotel which includes its amenities, and overall is a great place to stay. I rarely give a full 5-star rating, believing there is always something that could be improved. We will stay again in the future, without hesitation. The biggest issue is cost. during warmer weather, we can grab a mooring for a fraction of the marina's fee in NPT. NHHM is competitively priced, and offers electricity to keep us warm all night... Highly Recommended!n (10yr customer)
we were 3 boats and they were able to place us next to each other. Very Nice Marina!! Great town...don't need a dinghy here. Walk to town, a winery, a brewery, to the beach...eat at a very good restaurant at the marina.... Tight squeeze getting into the basin, go slow.
We were lucky enough to be berthed in slip A9 which has a gorgeous view over the cove to the south of the marina...a bow in docking allowed us to fully enjoy it! Thanks!!!! Bring your dinghy (or walking shoes) as downtown is a 10min dinghy ride or 20min walk. Great place to spend a few days exploring and the ride in is great! but STAY in the CHANNEL!!
We had a wonderful couple of nights at this special little place on a small Island! Told my wife it was real boating! Plotted the course, set the lines for the tides,...different from most other places (that we've been to)...It was a little like stepping back in time. just wish it wasn't 50miles each way, we'd go back sooner....
Great service and great location in a great boating town.
Spontaneous visit to Newport, first time to Newport Yachting Center and couldn't be more pleased! Great staff, facilities, location....Clean, newer, even a cookie and a koozy at check-in...can't beat that!!
Easy in-easy out, as long as winds not blowing too strong (no bow thruster). Smaller marina right i the middle of a really cute (and small) village. several places to eat and only a short ferry ride (or uber) to Newport. docks in good shape, bath facilities were neat, clean and newer. no gas dock this year ('18) not sure about pump out. we'd go again. rarely, if ever, give 5-stars...there's always something...
