Stayed here about two years ago and enjoyed it . However this time around was different . Docks are starting to look worn . The dock staff were uninterested in helping us dock and when someone finally came to help he had a surly attitude. . I would give the crew member at the fuel dock a five star for service and a pleasant personality . He was working hard with several boats getting fuel l I did not get his name . Such a pity that the marinas service has gone downhill
We had stayed here 3 years ago. Friendly staff, willing to help out with docking, fueling and pump out. Quiet area with little current. One staff member lent us his Jeep so we could get provisions, really appreciated that. Dinghy to Kingston, rather than walk.
From the moment we hailed the marina on the radio : Al the dock master was fantastic . He helped us dock and gave us a tour of the facilities . The marina is really well maintained with floating docks and the boaters lounge with its bathrooms and showers are spotless . They offer free laundry and the seating area is very comfortable with a tv and books . There are restaurants and a grocery store all within walking distance too We will be back next time we are in the area
Well protected marina, a ways off the Chesapeake, but worth the trip. Walkable downtown with some history, places for a meal and a great bakery.
Really enjoyed being downtown Norfolk, plenty to see and do. A lot of history around the area. Marina staff was very helpful with arrival and giving us ideas on where to go. Chrysler museum worth the walk to. We even spend an extra day here.
Great staff, good stop over. You really have to experience Coinjock Marina. Its a oasis with music, restaurant, fuel and a huge ebb and flow of boats going North and South.
Great place to stop. If you like great customer service, and a good place to just gang out, quietly. This is the place.
Helpful team when landing and connecting to pier. We made use of the loaner car to re-provision. Docks are in excellent shape. Easy to get fuel as well on the T head. Quiet marina in the evening, so you will get a good nights sleep.
You can't beat a mooring ball to get a good nights sleep. This location was recommended. Very protected area, access to the beach from the Carolina Beach DInghy Dock. South end of bay is another city dock where you can walk to the local grocery store if needed. Wish more cities would put in mooring fields.
Very large marina, convenient to everything Charleston SC. Current is strong and if the wind comes from the south, you want to be on the other side of the breakwater. Lots of boat traffic.
