Great little marina. Was able to fit 3 sailboats on short notice. Good dock crew, Very nice shop and outstanding shower facilities. Free shuttle into town. Refueling whetever you are tied up!!Good bit of current there, and popular spot for big power boats due to side ties. Recommend without reservation.
They accommodated us on short notice for three 40+ foot sailboats on a weekend when others could not. 2 of our boats were assigned the outside of F dock. With 5 foot drafts we still found just enough water at low tide to squeek into the channel if we hugged the dock. Helpful single dockhand but otherwise it seemed like there is minimal staff. Turning in the key card took some hunting. Excellent breakfast restaurant on premises. Really, you have to go. Expect lines but it's very much worth it! Marina residents were very friendly. Ubers available if you don't want to walk or bike the 2 miles to town, and Door Dash delivers, though it's a bit out of the way for them. We did have significant hull slapping due to current change and boat wakes due to the marina being exposed but that's par for boating. We'd definitely go back. Really appreciate them working with us on short notice. Mystic rocks!!
This is a very convenient and protected marina on the NJ coast. Add to that the proximity of the Golden Nugget Casino restaurants and floating docks and it seems like a no-brainer. But...the marina is really deteriorating. The women's restroom ceiling has big holes in it, one of the two bath houses - the one closest to transient berths - is closed for renovation. The dock boards are so badly rotted that when i jumped off the boat, a short drop to the dock, my foot punched right thru the board. I could have easily broken my ankle. When we came into the marina the dockhands changed my berth three times ON APPROACH!! Partly not their fault as it seems locals just grab open slips without coordinating with the dockmaster. But still, change it once, and do it before i'm in the fairway, please. The fuel dock is also still closed the weekend after Labor Day. I will say that getting groceries delivered via Doordash is REALLY handy, and the Jitney Surfer is an inexpensive shuttle that goes all over Atlantic City very cheaply and stops right at the Golden Nugget. WAAAAY cheaper than an Uber ($3/ride). We would like to return, but may be hesitant given the issues - particularly dock safety - that we and our group of boats encountered.
Just...fantastic. Dockhands, 5 stars, wide fairways, big slips, great shuttle service into town, Tesla test drives onsite, very helpful staff, awesome facilities. Not much more expensive that other marinas in the sound in CT but really great.
Marina contacted ME for an arrival time - VERY proactive. Two able dockhands help d us pump out and then tie up in a spacious floating dock slip. Then helped us plug in electric and gave us a brief on the Marina. Pool was nice, pool bar great, DJ at the pool a little loud but good. Bath house clean and spacious. Really great experience. Safe Harbor really upgraded the place. Restaurant is booming!
Great and helpful staff at the dock. Pumpout and fuel facilities very easy to access. Slips are rather extended with posts well beyond the length of most boats, but slips are relatively slender. Good finger piers. Power seems to vary from slip to slip. Mine had a 50a and 30a; another 2 boats down had 2x30a, but power is close to your boat, as is water. Pool is small and gets very crowded. Restaurant service is good but food is just OK. Grills pretty new and nice; huge tent was up for 4th of July and nice to eat under when it rained. Biggest thing to know is Fairlee Creek entrance is challenging and best approached at slack tide. There are idiots swimming/sitting in the water on both sides of the very sharp and narrow turn into the creek. Over/understeer and you might hit one or more of them. Darwin Award candidates.
Ryan the dock master was a rock star getting us into our slip. He was also impressive helping other boats leave tight slips safely. He was super helpful and made us feel welcome. The restaurant upstairs accommodated 10 of us for an excellent meal. We’ll definitely be back!!
First time at Spring Cove Marina and it was great. Marina answered VHF 16 quickly and provided clear directions to my slip, and had a knowledgeable dockhand there to help me get in. All staff were super pleasant and helpful, and we availed ourselves of the free shuttle (really nice service!). The bathrooms and showers were very clean, and no obnoxious combinations to get in. The bar onsite was fun and the local patrons were very friendly and welcoming. Fuel dock onsite and easily accessible. Back Creek is very quiet and calm, so even on the T-Head we were unbothered by traffic to any noticeable extent. The store has a great selection of t-shirts and bourbon! And not only are there grills onsite, there's a smoker - nice!! The grounds are significantly larger than it looks on their map, and the pools is very nice and big enough to swim laps. Wifi was not really usable, but I attribute that much more to OnSpot than the marina. The OnSpot wifi is universally terrible wherever we go, and in our home marina where a node is right next to our boat and is still awful. I usually default to another marina nearby when coming to Solomons, but I think I may switch to reserving at Spring Cove by default now! My wife and her friend really liked it too.
This was our second stay in a month, and this marina is just awesome. The facilities are top notch - more like a Caribbean resort than a marina. Their communications are excellent (they sent me my slip assignment ahead of time!), and when we had to leave a day early they refunded our last day's slip fees - though likely because it was a holiday weekend and they were able to rent the slip. If you're looking for a great place to tie up with amenities so good they'll make you want to get off your boat and spend time ashore, this place is it. We'll be back again, and again.
Love the improvements at this marina. Floating docks are excellent. Staff friendly, helpful and very responsive on Dockwa. Within easy walking distance to town. Highly recommend.
