Loved staying here. Friendly helpful crew, good location (short walk to the subway or good food). Pleasant environment. Nice rates. I would definitely return.
I very much enjoyed the communication received from this marina. The marina sent an SMS with instructions to where I would be spending the night. Close to the heart of Salem, walkable to restaurants and provisions. The laundry/bathroom area was serviceable, not remarkable. The 30amp power couldn't provide 30amps (I was drawing 3200W and the breaker would blow within a few minutes). The pontoons could have used more regular scat-removal. But it was a good location, good/friendly service. I'd visit again.
This marina is rather new. It has the potential to be a 5-star marina, but is still suffering from some start-up pains. The staff is top-notch. They are there to help and their dedication to customer service is abundantly clear. However, there were regular electrical problems during my 10 day stay. This didn't directly affect me as my electrical use is minimal, but do check in with the marina to see if they have rectified their situation. (pun intended) The bathroom was nice, but had septic service and would occasionally smell between pump-outs. They were still in the process of adding fencing, painting buildings, security, electricity, etc. Next summer, this will likely be a 5-star facility. They are really trying and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!
Excellent service. They were able to take our last minute reservation as one of the other marinas (7 Seas Wharf) turned out to not be able to fit our boat. They are walkable from the town (though due to a thunderstorm, I was unable to do so on our single night stay). It looks like they are going through renovations, so hopefully they'll have laundry and reliable wifi soon!
The marina instructions were clear, the location is good as far as beach access and access from the water. They have tender service to and from their clubhouse. They were not able to give local information about the river/canal. They were not able to help me find food. Beware: the restaurant on premises is often closed. We were told it would open at five, and since there was no other food within walking distance (or dinghy distance on a river with current), we waited. When 5pm rolled around, we were given new information: the restaurant was closed for a private event that evening. (Note: there is a rather nice restaurant nearby, but it's not open 7 days a week, and AYC staff gave conflicting information on whether they were open. Fortunately, I had checked and the restaurant was closed, so I didn't walk/dinghy over there)
Good stay, excellent location. Friendly service and friendly neighbors. As I have a bigger boat, it was a little rock-and-roll on the outer dock between the current and the passing boats, but the marina was rather pleasant.
This marina was a bit on the pricy side, but the service was top notch, the facilities were clean, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely return.
