Oak Bluffs Marina, the largest marina on Martha's Vineyard, is a long-time favorite of many boaters and offers unrivaled access to the rest of the Island. From our docks, you are a stone's throw away from the beautiful town center with all of the shops, restaurants, and attractions that have made it a famous and culturally rich destination.
All reservations are only valid for the vessel information submitted. No substitutions or changes are allowed. Any changes will result in forfeiture of your reservation.
DOCKAGE:
Reservations are required for dockage along the bulkhead in Oak Bluffs Harbor. Reservations for the season open on February 1st at 8 am and can be made at https://oakbluffsmarina.com through Dockwa. Further information regarding pricing can also be found at this site. Upon arrival, please hail the harbormaster on channel 71 with the name of the vessel that the reservation is under to receive a slip assignment.
MOORINGS:
Moorings in Oak Bluffs Harbor cannot be reserved. They are all on a first-come, first-served basis. Town moorings are white with a blue stripe and say "TOWN". A row of all blue moorings in the back of the harbor can be used by boats that are less than 25 feet in length. Up to four boats of like size and type may raft on a single mooring. Rafting is mandatory. It is required that each boat runs their own line to the mooring ball to allow others to come and go as they please. Upon arrival, boaters can be directed to the appropriate area of the mooring field by hailing the harbormaster on channel 71. The field is organized by size of vessels: smallest vessels in the first rows closest to the bulk head, biggest vessels in the last rows closest to the mouth of the harbor. For the off season, moorings are free for the day and $35 for overnight. In season the moorings are a flat rate of $50- for a few hours or overnight. Check out for the moorings will be at 11am, or you will be charged $50 again. 10 visit passes can be purchased in advance for $500. Overnight mooring fees are collected at the harbormaster's office or by mooring attendants that will come through the mooring field throughout the day. The launch can be hailed on channel 77 for pickup at your mooring.
FUEL DOCK:
The fuel dock is located directly by the mouth of the harbor. We have both gas and diesel fuel. Water and pump out services are available at this dock.
PUMP OUT:
The Oak Bluffs Harbor offers a pump out service that can come over to your boat. Hail the harbormaster on channel 71 to schedule a pump out.
Recreational boating:
There is a strict no wake policy enforced within the harbor. Music must be kept at a reasonable level and completely turned off by 10 pm. Generators must also be shut off by 10 pm. Failure to do so will result in consequences that may include you being asked to leave the harbor. Grilling is allowed however, we ask that you are always respectful of your neighbors. All recreational boating is subject to the discretion of local officials, harbormasters, and law enforcement. All local rules, regulations, laws and Coast Guard requirements still apply.
Great location in the heart of oaks bluff. Marina answered call immediately (VHF 71)when we arrived and directed us to slip 18 and offered to send help. When we got to the slip they were waiting and helped guide us in. Fuel Dock easily accessible and great service all around. Harbormaster is very accommodating and quick to respond.
Emily has put together a great crew that are always there to help all of us boaters !!
Marginal slips. Was told bathrooms and showers would be open when we arrived at 6:30pm. They were padlocked. Outrageous rate for subpar quality, service and overall experience.
Helpful in accommodating our request to change slips. Always well organized and accessible.
Awesome very accommodating. Curt and Emily were great!!!
We just got back from our 4th annual visit to Oak Bluffs Marina. As always, we found staff to be attentive and helpful over the course of our stay. There was potential for rough weather on the day of our departure and they were able to accommodate an extra night had we needed it. As for location, we love Oak Buffs Marina and enjoy watching the boats come and go, the 3 or 4 daily trips of the Pirate Ship, and being close to the restaurants, bars, and shops in the area. We'll be sure to book our 5th annual visit as soon as we can next Spring!
Very helpful dock staff, great location, but this was the first time we docked so close to the harbor entrance (slip 80). Rocked hard all night long making it. Edy difficult to sleep. Folks around us also has the same issue. We were told it’s unusual that it’s so rough inside the harbor so it may have just been a fluke.
Great location in town, beautiful surroundings and helpful staff. We’ll be back!
The crew at the marina were terrific! They helped by accomodating us with a handicap slip. My wife had a recent knee replacement. I wish the shoer area was better. However I understand it is a public facility. Thanks for another GREAT family vacation!! See you next year.
The Marina and Harbormaster are a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and cooperative marina personnel who were on the dock awaiting our arrival.
Dockhand was very helpful and the town is fantastic, upbeat location with friendly people visiting. Oak Bluffs was a wonderful experience
Dock hands are awsome and friendly. Great spot on the wall.
Charming Marina with great dockhands. The Staff was friendly and tied us down quickly We had fresh air and a beautiful breeze, so we didn’t need to run AC. Everything you want to see is within walking distance. In the marina are chartered fishing boats, parasailing and a pirate ship excursion. There is so much to do with the family, including accessible beaches. I can’t attest to the Wifi, as we have Starlink on the boat. We will definitely return.
No WiFi as advertised. WiFi only works if your close to the office which my boat is bigger than those slips. I tried to work with them and ask for help for 4 days and they just gave me excuses and no help and I work remote. Never again. No help. Dock hands barely helped and were in a rush to leave without even plugging my power in. Goto menemsha. Way better. Never staying there again.
The harbor master and staff are very friendly and helpful!
It is always a pleasure to return to Oak Bluffs Marina and to the island of Martha's Vineyard. The Harbormaster and her staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves with new and old friends. We are looking forward to returning soon.
Nice area but wasn’t impressed with the marina, also need more experienced dock hands.
Comfortable marina. Great staff. However, terrible internet connection, if any at all!
everything was great except no water hookup for my slip. luckily no one was next to me so used theirs.
Good experience with marina. Helped check boats and retie as needed. Good trash and bathroom setups. Reasonable price. Crew was super helpful on typical tasks. We had a big wind shift evening into overnight. We checked and did not realize the direction switch would smack us around so much in their harbor, and slips. Do wish they had given some local advice to consider moving to mooring (as suggestion) to prevent damage from pilings and wall. But we survived a long night with some stress, a couple of dings and lacking sleep. Certainly not their fault, just wished had some local advice.
rates are very reasonable. They are very flexible and easy to work with. I love going there every year. Awesome location..
Amazing stay as always. Great staff and docking attendants!
We had a great overall experience during our 3 night stay in slip 19. The marina office staff and dock hands were all fantastic. The dock hands were very helpful and experienced. Only had to wait a few minutes for pumpout service. The marina uses bathroom and showers facility that serve as a public facility and close at 9pm. We were aware of this prior to making our reservation, so there were no surprises.
Got the slip I requested. I’m Glad I reserved in advance. The staff was cordial and helpful docking. I just wish the WiFi was better, could not connect all week. Will be back next year 👍
Where to start… First, the marina is backing up to Main Street with no privacy. Second, there are no fingers, you have to use a ladder to get in and out. There are no amenities except fuel dock which is small and have no high speed pumps (plan to wait or be there a long time). The staff is made od young kids , not sure how much boating experience they have, but they are less than helpful, unless you get the right person to help. The boat is tied to the poles on the front, while there are cleats in the back. Power and water is Ok. There are no private bathrooms or showers. There is a public one which is quite dirty. We observed drug dealings in front of the public bathrooms after sunset, which you would not want to have your kids around in the area regardless of time of day. If there is a negative star or no star rating, I would have used it. For the price they charge it is not worth it at all, I will not be coming back and if you consider it think twice. I have stayed in many marinas, this one is clearly one of the worst one ever. Run run run as fast as you can.
Great staff. Great location for visiting Martha’s Vineyars.
Fantastic as always - staff and crew - only need better wifi! See you again soon!
Everything was great. Our slip was located where I had requested. The Dockhand greeted us at the slip as I approached. I needed assistance for an odd situation and the Marina sent someone to help immediately. Always great service.
A good and very helpful marina and staff with a convenient Location! Thanks! George
Docks are difficult to get on and off. Also too many homeless people bothering the boaters on the docks. Some boaters found them sleeping on their boat at night.
We love Oak Bluffs & almost everything was great. The internet worked fine thanks to the location of our slip (no. 80} (close to the dockmaster office), but the rocking of the boat due to the boat traffic (especially the ferry, which goes too fast in the harbor) - it was uncomfortable. Great restaurants.
Wonderful harbormaster and staff. Cant wait to go back next year for our 27th year in a row.
My wife and I love going to Oak Bluffs Marina and will continue to do so. However, the showers are in need of repair. In the men and women's room at least one shower is not working and the token machine is a pain. It only gives quarters in change but doesn't accept quarters for tokens and the shower coin timer didn't work once the token was put in. The marina wifi was non existent. Other than that. The marina is very clean. The staff is the best. They went out of there way to help every time they could. Its a great place to stay and I will again. As a side note, I'd be willing to pay an extra dollar at the showers if it went to fixing them up.
great staff, (starts at the top!!), very accomodating , and helpful, all around great people
Be careful staying at OB. About 8 to 10 homeless hanging around public bathroom s. Severely intoxicated. Not safe
Got assigned dockage near the restrooms. When we arrived the departing boat said “its dangerous in there”. Homeless and drunks loitered around all day. Boats traveling with us witnessed “transactions” (money exchanged for items) happening outside the restrooms. Boat neighbor called the police at night for some of the drunks nearby. Called the office and left a message about changing slips and call was not returned. Will not be back.
Thanks for changing the slip from 81 to 56. A lot less rocking. The access ladder at 56 has a cleat right in the acces spot.
Great marina with lots to do in the area. The staff was fantastic, very friendly and helpful. We'll be back again, and again.
Great slip Great weather Great hand on the bulkhead by your staff, Kirk All good We ‘ll be back
The slip and marina staff were great and very accommodating. Great location and in the center of everything.
Early in the season, but noticeably inexperienced dockhands with poor attitudes.
Nice Harbor, Lovely village. No bathrooms or showers. Dockwa should remove these "amenities" from the offering. Found a construction site with a port - a - potty.
Was great I had a great time! Easy to get to! I was able to get a pump out and fuel!! Cannot wait to come back!
OB Marina team are some of the nicest - knowledgeable folks - great experience !
Would be nice to include the WiFi password in the reservation as we arrived at 6:30 and no one was at the office other than that perfect as always
Excellent friendly people, service, great system.
Were are so Happy and Grateful to have had a day at OB Marina. Thank YOU!!! OB is always a beautiful place to visit. The Marina is fantastic and the folks running the Marina and the team there is always professional and friendly. Super welcoming place to share with friends and family!! Thanks always. Alex ( Boaty Call)
The marina is great but getting off and on our boat was a little tough. Also I think they need to do some work on the pylons. We will def be back tho
Great harbor, staff. Couldn’t find a more affordable harbor within 100 miles!
Oak bluffs was such a nice place to relax this time of year. Staff was very accommodating to our schedule and helped us leaving which is always appreciated
Poor shower facilities, our ladder to climb onto dock was on verge of failure, there were plenty of other slips available
We stayed on a finger dock away from the main bulkhead. More privacy and a better location. We would come back again and stay there. Good hookups and staff are friendly and helpful.
Fantastic stay great people and hospitality second to none
Always a pleasure wish that there were no so many benches and tables it does encourage tourists to gather especially late at night to chat and be nosy‘
Outstanding staff very helpful, polite, and attentive!!
Arrival instructions to our slip were very clear and helpful as it was our first time here. If you have a dinghy on the stern and go in stern to, you need to take it off to access the bulkhead ladders. There was no help docking. The harbor was very still so was able to easily handle. With just wife me I. Water and electricity worked well. Easy location to access whole island from. After Labor Day so really nice and not crowded.
Kind friendly staff as usual In a beautiful relaxing harbor. Thank you!!
great spot, been there many times. Staff is helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with!
Generally a very good stay. The bars do produce some drunks who unplugged some boats and in our case threw a bunch of uprooted plants on the stern. But that’s not the marina’s fault. The WiFi is useless but otherwise they do a great job.
Good staff, very serviceable. A safe and secure harbor. A great location with all amenities nearby. Just got a confirmation for a return that's the best measure of a great place.
To exposed our space was right on the street to the public.
It is always a pleasure to return to Oak Bluffs Marina and to the island of Martha's Vineyard. The Harbormaster and her staff are very friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay and enjoyed ourselves with new and old friends. We are looking forward to returning soon.
Unfortunately due to weather we were not able to take our boat out... bummed that policy says we still get charged for the night. We showed up for our second day after a rough Saturday morning boat ride and had a great time at the fireworks. We are long time slip renters (25+ years)
It was an excellent stay! Pump outs for holding tanks were very easy to schedule. Electric and water supply was reliable. Oak Bluff marina is within walking distance to the ferry , restaurants, circuit street and other main attractions. The only possible negative issue is that docking is up against the bulkhead between pilings. Getting on or off of our boat was by the bulkhead wooden ladder. This could be difficult for the elderly or physically impaired! However that is the nature of bulkhead docking when floating docks aren’t available. I would definitely stay here at the marina again. There is gas and diesel fuel available at the marina. I would recommend refuel in as soon as u arrive. I always like to be prepared to depart without having to first worry about refueling especially if you are trying to be foul weather on your return home. The last thing of note is that I used the DOCKWA.com app to request a reservation for August 5th thru August 20th. I was only confirmed for August 5the thru 15th. I was waitlisted for the 15th thru 20th . A storm resulted in cancellations so the marina was able to extend my slip for one mor day. The night of the 15th. I had to go to a mooring ball in the Harbor for the rest of my stay. The Oak Bluff staff were helpful with assistance in attaching to a mooring however I am disheartened by my second time being waitlisted for the very popular August 15 th thru 20th activities. I may not return again in 2024 if I am waitlisted for part of my requested reservation. Again very nice stay! Great Marina to stay in for the duration of your vacation by boat in MV!
Always a great time. Awesome spot. Plenty of shops and places to eat.
Outstanding. The harbor was packed with boats and everyone was so warm and friendly. Great Weekend
Need more police patrol around the bathhouse and walkway areas. Too many sketchy/drug users around the area.
Great stay marina staff are very helpful and accommodating. Love the Place
Great place to be. Super fun and close to every thing. Wish they had a bigger fuel dock. 1 pump diesel 1 pump for gasoline. Only one boat at a time can fuel. Other than that it’s a great place.
Great location and great vibe. Like no other place we have been to. Highly recommend
Love the staff at the marina, couldn’t be more helpful and friendly
Good nice place and people but I stayed one night in a slip a DMD had to move the next day to a different location. I little hassle.
Marina was very helpful and responsive. Had a great trip!
Oak Bluffs Marina was a great stay with all amenities we needed for a great week. We had great weather and everyone was so friendly. Love the staff there as they are cordial, very helping and friendly! Thanks for a wonderful week!! Bob
Definitely a pleasure and I’m looking forward to seeing you again
Marina staff was helpful. Overall our stay was nice. Would have liked the public restrooms to be opened earlier.
I love oaks bluff Can’t wait to go back next year. I just wish they would do something about their bathrooms and showers. You pay all that money and it’s not a very pretty site for the bathrooms and the showers.
Another great stay in OB!! We increased the size of our boat and the staff was able to fit us in. We have four kids and it’s their favorite part of the summer on Renegade. Awesome crew in OB!
OB is the best marina on Martha's Vineyard to bring children or young adults. It is just a fun place to visit, and the marina is awesome.
Really enjoyed our time here. Marina staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice walk to the beach, bars, restaurants and shopping. Will definitely be returning!
I have been staying at Oak Bluffs Mv. with our boat for more than 40 years. It's our favorite place. The staff at the marina are great and always helpful. You can't go wrong to vist Oak Bluffs Marina.
Excellent service and assistance in docking and tie up. Great facilities nearby. Great place!!!
Oak Bluff never disappoints! The marina is short staffed like everywhere, but you would never know it! Very helpful!
We had a great day. Dock hand greeted us and helped us tie up. Thank you!
Great place, friendly staff. Slip dock size was perfect for the size of our boat
Excellent experience, staff were friendly and courteous. The pre arrival email was extremely helpful. Great location, everything you need is within walking distance. Will definitely do again!
Very expensive. Staff was gone when we tried to reach them during business hours. No wifi available. No water for 1/2 day when we needed it. Pump out was down. And fuel was over-priced. Having said that, the Island is beautiful and I loved our visit. I just wish the dock's service matched the price.
great as usual the stafff is always helpful . Nick was assume
Lousy neighbors in slip next to us. Loud music all night. Cops came twice. Screaming cursing.
Staff is the greatest! Very accommodating! Always willing to help make our group’s stay successful and stress free.
The staff was amazing and the location can't be beat!
Fantastic and they gave us the dock we were hoping for! Of course the weather and wind were perfect which helps
Great stay as always. Very helpful and friendly staff!
Very helpful, knowledgeable and patient dock helpers!
Our ladder is at end of life and completely dangerous. Multiple arrests of drunk and disorderly/homeless near our boat.
Wi-Fi was good, but password was not provided by staff until we asked on our second day. Nice location, but unfortunately not a good place for a dog because all slips are on a fixed wall with no finger pier of any length. Public restrooms were filthy. Water was boiling hot from the exposed pipes in the sun. Staff was less than helpful backing into the slip.
The marina has lots of activity and great restaurants within a short walk. The crew there was vey helpful and friendly.
Busy harbor hard to get into the slip with all the traffic. Once there, know that it's not a floating dock but a fix pier type thing. you need to take a ladder off the boat to the boardwalk area. VERY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING! Helpful staff especially with docking which was tricky to do. Some folks on other boats were swimming in the harbor I'm not sure I would do that. Striper came up to the boat at night time. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short due to weather and weren't able to get a refund and given that MV is a long way from my home port (multi day journey) we won't be able to use the credit this year.
Oak Bluffs Marina was responsive and professional! We will be back!
Great location! Showers were not working. Could use some maintenance and updates. Also could not connect to wifi. Maybe will have improvements next year. Still always enjoy our time there.
We enjoyed our time in Oak Bluffs on a mooring. To us it is the best place to work on our boat and then relax for the evening. We have been visiting OB Harbor for 30 years now.. The staff is great, the pump out guy is a great guy! My only suggestion would be to enforce that smaller boats find a mooring/raft in rows 1-7 and raft with boats of similar size.. Row 9 and 10 should be utilized for larger boats that need more swing room when rafted. We will be back to Oak Bluffs for our annual adventure.
Always a great stay at Oak Bluffs Marina! Thank you!
I had an awful stay at Oak Bluffs Marina, my slip assignment was behind the parking lot between the public rest room and a liquor store. For two days I witnessed drug deals, foul language, loud music a people so intoxicated they could not stand all by non-boaters. The police showed up twice on my first night and once on my second night, but the issues still persisted. My shore power was turned off twice while I was away from the boat and the rest rooms were filthy and in disrepair, The town of Oak Bluffs should get in front of this issue.
The harbor is near everything. The amenities are not good.
My boat (Battendown) broke down upon arrival at Oak Bluffs. Aaron and Kaitlin were very pleasant and helpful in addressing the situation. They moved the boat to a mooring as we await a next step from Hinckley Yacht Services. Please let them know how much I appreciate their assistance. Drew Callen ("Chief")
Oak Bluffs harbor is always happening on a great weather weekend. The slips are full and the moorings are packed. We didn't have much engagement with the dock staff, but we did see them helping others with electrical cords and catching lines. Be sure to visit Winston's Cafe at the end of corner on the harbor. They have the best coffee, breakfast sandwiches and subs.
We have stayed there many times (30 plus) and love the area. We showed the area to two new boaters who travelled with us. Unfortunately, this time we had a bad experience with an extremely loud, drunk bunch that felt it OK to blast music from 6PM through 1AM, despite many boaters complaining. They turned it up and partied a few boats over. The unattended boat with music at Max volume was next to us and it was so loud, we could not talk to each other. We had to pack up the kids (2 yo and 5 yo) and get away from the noise. The marina must take steps to control this as I was surprised to see it allowed. Most boaters have heard of the rough reputation here but we had not personally experienced any issues and convinced our guests that they would love it. The other marinas on the Island understand the importance of controlling this undesirable activity while allowing everyone to have their fun. We will not be returning until an obvious change in management is in place.
I enjoy Oak Bluffs, but staying in a slip is always a bit frustrating. The slip and marina support was great as always and I was supported with a last minute pump out as well. My only complaint is the lack of marina bathrooms and showers. The marina bathroom is open to the public and a shower costs $3 for 7 minutes. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal, but for the slip prices clean free facilities is expected. In addition, the shower is tokens, not change and it can only be purchased with cash. When cash is used, five dollar bill for example, the boater receives 2 dollars in quarters in return. These quarters cannot be used to purchase additional tokens. So if you have not more dollar bills your family better be good with a 2 minute shared timed shower. In the end, OB please make the shower process easier for the boater.
We had a beautiful stay. The only thing I would change was the bathrooms and how the coin works for the showers. Having it except quarters would be a lot easier
Great spot, great amenities and staff was beyond cordial and attentive
Excellent, very helpful staff and enjoyable stay start to finish
Unfortunately never was able to make trip small craft advisory both day's we were supposed to go! But M.V. is great as well as Oak Bluffs Marina we have another trip planned hope weather will let us travel to enjoy
OB is a great place and OB Marina was a great place to dock our boat. The marina workers were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend OB Marina, we will be back as soon as we can!
I called at 4:30pm to let them know I was arriving around 5:30 and get my slip assignment even though they’re email said the were there til 6pm no answered or called back then I arrived and just docked next to my friends and when I plugged in the shore power sparked and smoked and would not work, again tried to call the dockmaster but no answer. I eventually was able to borrow an extension from another boater.
Always such a good experience staying at OB marina, it is convenient and has all the amenities that you need. Great location.
I had to call twice on the radio for someone to come and help us tie up since it was our first time approaching a dock along a wall. That made our arrival very stressful. The machine for the tokens to use the shower was broke and I called the after hours number and no one picked up. I left a message and I never received a call back. The next day there was a sign on the machine saying it was out of order.
We had a great time there. The marina staff was helpful and courteous, which is hard to find these days.
OB was great and the staff was very helpful and always available friendly. See you next year!
Enjoyed our stay in Oak Bluffs. Dock hands were very helpful.
Many thanks to the dock team for making our two day stay enjoyable. Responsive, helpful, and respectful describes our experience. Look forward to our next visit! Thank you!
Great stay, great people. We were over by the dock master shack, in slip 79 and away from the hustle and bustle a bit. Wifi is always spotty, but other than that, everything worked out just as planned.
Staff was very responsive and helped us at the slip when we arrived. Thank you!
great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was in fear for my life at night i locked my things up for fear of burglary. did not feel safe. gun shots late at night. marina was beautiful and the staff was great just did not feel safe at night!
Women’s showers weren’t working but other than that great service
OB is not what it used to be. If you're looking for the clean, friendly place it used to be, think again. Dock staff (Miles) was terrible and even got snippy with some of the other boaters. The island is beautiful but the docks need some attention.
Marina was excellent, service great especially slip pump-out service! Food, shops, and transportion excellant! LOVED the whole experience. Even had great church service on Sunday!!!
Slip ready when expected, assistance with lines, electrical hook up. Great place to visit.
We arrived later in the day and there was a problem with our slip neighbor's dinghy in our spot. Since there was no staff to help it created some trouble. Also, needed power extension cables but had to find them on my own. Next day, the staff was very good about getting things straightened out. Overall, a good experience.
Well protected harbor. Only sailboat on the back pier, yet felt welcomed...like a curiosity to power boaters, well assisted in our clumsy approach, tied in by marina staff who made fancy rope designs out of our dock lines. Steps to restaurants, cafes, and shops. Lively area, however, bars let out early enough for sleep, and I brought headphones.
We came in and had help docking right away.. the marina is very accommodating.. i would highly recommend this marina for your vacation..everything is within walking distances and they have jeeps and bicycles to rent to visit the other parts of the island..
Only Shower and Toilet facility is shared with public. All slips are stern to fixed, with no fingers. Really just a town simple run marina. Won't go back by boat. Staff was very friendly and helped us dock up. Good communication with dock office.
Much noisier than anticipated, especially when I Dockwa they clearly state a low tolerance for disregarding noise rules. Getting a slip assignment in advance to plan was like a state secret. Bathroom/shower facilities were clean. Don't know if we ever go back.
great location and as a floating dock boater Jasper the marina's dock hand was one of the best we have ever had. Did a great job working our lines and was really personable. Well done!
Great marina w very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the fun and liveliness of Oak Bluffs!!
Easy in and out. Deck hand greeted us and assisted us tying up to bulkhead. . Overall great experience.
July 2020 trip. Great spot! Plenty to do within walking distance. Dock hands greeted us upon arrival and helped with tie up. Small market just a short walk away. Friendly neighbors docked on both sides. Bathrooms were clean. Back Door Donuts just down the street. Already booked again for 2021!
Thanks and the service was great just a tough dock to get on and off the boat with bikes etc. but I love the harbor and always meet nice people. Cheers Rich O
Government run marina. We have been using this marina over 40 years and not much has changed. The Town of Oak Bluffs is only interested in the revenue from the marina. The town closes the shower/head facilities after hours. Clean harbor? We did enjoy Oak Bluffs in spite of the marina facilities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Wake up Oak Bluffs.
Pros: Helpful and responsive staff. Beautiful venue. Close to town - walking distance to shops and restaurants Cons: Bathroom hours 7am - 9pm and closed early one of the nights we visited Shower $3 for 8 min. 2 of 3 stalls in ladies room not working. Lost a couple shower tokens figuring that out. No call back from the folks after we called the feedback number on the token machine. Bathrooms dumpy like a gas station. Our slip was out of range for wifi. Multiple devices could not pick it up
Dock hands very helpful Electric hookup easy and had full amps and volts Very responsive when called upon entering harbor Not much else in amenities. Bathroom and shower are public, $3 for shower but very clean Then again you are in thick of the action in Oak Bluffs Be wary of other traffic on entering the small harbor: ferries, jet Skis, kayaks, dinghies
Walking distance to all the main attractions and the staff was very helpful entering and leaving the slip
A short stay but the location was great and convenient to everything in Oak Bluff
We arrived to more than half the slips completely empty yet they managed to assign us to one that didn't have shore power. The slip itself was very small for our boat's beam and length. The wifi is absolutely terrible. For the price of the stay for such sparse amenities I'd prefer to have gotten a mooring.
Always a great time & the Harbormaster has a Great Crew. Only room for improvement is the Bathroom/Shower facilities
Marina was great, one suggestion for improvement, would be to construct a separate door entrance to the bathrooms for boaters, with a keypad lock and code, this way it is accessible 24 hours. The bathrooms get locked at 8pm ish. and open at 7am
great accommodations. location is in center of Oak Bluffs and both Edgartown and Vineyard Haven are an easy bike ride away
Helpful attendant, easy trip to the slip, and super easy to talk off the boat and head just about anywhere. We were lucky and had great slipmates; i could see though that we could have easily ended up with partiers next to us and our small kids would have been impacted. Not an issue with the slips per se, but rather Oak Bluffs seems to attract a more boisterous crowd. We will still go back!
Despite the coronavirus restrictions, visiting Oak Bluffs Marina was the perfect vacation. We have been coming here for many years. and It's always a wonderful experience.
Very disappointed in the lack of Wifi. The website says it has WiFi , WHICH it doesn’t. ! Can’t get WiFi ever. Also the fees for electricity have gone up 40.00 for same service. Lastly I wish they had a few grills to use like Nantucket does. The one grill is filthy.
A great place to dock up. Enjoyed 3 days at dock 14. Thanks OB Marina!
Great location, marina help we’ll trained. Due to the pandemic People not as Engaging With limited seating dinning an issue
Very well run marina with a friendly staff , plenty of power/water, and a great location that is walking distance to tourist attractions and several great beaches.
Good. A bit late night crowd was loud past midnight. Perhaps a 10pm noise curtesy reminder would help. Staff was very helpful for arrival. Waste pumped was appreciated.
Awesome marina! We make this part our annual trip! Helpful dock hands!
Our favorite place to be. Harbor staff are all awesome.
Great setting, a fun place to be. Close to everything. Walk to restaurants, beaches, shops. Protected harbor. Great dock staff to support boaters. Biking, running, fishing...OB has it all.
Great stay ! Staff was awesome and we are new boat owners ! We’re a little nervous pulling in the slip and staf was so helpful !! We will be back great experience!!
Great place to spend time. The new beach OB put in makes it easier to hit the beach!
We have been coming to Oaks Bluff for 30+ years. Always a great time
Very busy marina but close to all that Oak Bluffs has to offer. A little pricey and facilities are not very good. Probably our last time there.
Bathrooms 1/4 mile away !! No fingerpiers!! 70 slips and they rented our lousy slip next to a shitty boat to someone and chased us out right at 11!! Never would go there or recommend it to anyone !!!!!!!
Excellent time as always. Dock help was incredibly helpful tying is up.
The Harbor Master and staff were very helpful, we needed a longer electrical cable and they quickly came to the rescue!
We had a great time! Thank you. Note: when calling into VHF harbor master a reply was not received after many attempts, other radio calls could be heard that also received no reply.
our stay was great! Using the Dockwa app is quick & easy.
Nice and quiet stay this time of year! Dock hands were excellent helping us in!
It was great, The weather was beautiful, the staff was very nice and helpful. Thank you Judy
Really need to get WiFi fixed, it hasn't worked for years other than that it's grest
fast and easy check in. Always a great Marina, facilities easy to get gas and supplies.
Awful weather prevented us from coming into slip. We had to go on a mooring
Dock staff expected us, dock hand on site to assist with lines and check in, Marina was exactly as advertised, piling moorings with stern against bulkhead/ladder do not for the feeble.
We got a street side slip (most of them are) and it was very loud. Drunk people yelling right outside the boat. Harbormaster and staff were great though, just a very tough location for any privacy.
Great spot right on the wall near all the action. Had a blast!
Great place for families and a nice marina
Oak Bluffs Marina ... hand down #1 Great boat friendly marina, great people ! Can't wait to come back. Thank you
Not sure if just the week we chose, the slip we were given or if OB is on a massive decline!?! We have had multiple issues with electrical and actually caught someone messing with it one night in the middle of the night. There is an oil slick from someone’s boat that is just lingering. We were right outside the public bathroom and the bus stop which meant we saw a lot of shady things I wish we hadn’t. The most alarming was the shady people who would hang out on the benches and scope out the boats. I actually caught someone trying to climb down on to another boat which I knew was not his. We also saw people over in the park across the way doing drugs right in the open. i would recommend an alternative location ...we will be staying in Edgartown next time.
Good same slip area all the time Makes docking a snap Thank you OB
This is our 20th year coming to Oak Bluffs Marina and we absolutely love it! Todd and his staff are fabulous :) Great harbor location within walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants, shopping and all the fun on Circuit Avenue! Wonderful oceanfront golfing at Farm Neck Golf Course less than two miles away, can bike or take short Uber or cab ride if you want to explore other parts of the Island too! Bike rental and/or jeep rentals located directly across the street and both the Hy-Line Hyannis and Island Queen Falmouth ferries dock right there for any visiting family or friends. Self serve laundromat across the street that also offers wash and fold service and as an added plus found the WiFi to be very good this year!! Great staff and great place for lots of boating fun, would highly recommend for all!
This marina gets by on great location alone, and they must know it. Bathhouse is horrid— pay for showers via tokens, only two stalls (prepare to wait), and closes overnight (here is simply no reason they can not install doors with key card access for guests rather than a barn-style padlock to keep everyone out overnight).
Marina staff very helpful. Slip was available on time and as advertised. Power and water good. The shower facility is another matter. It was filthy and despite paying $3 for a shower the water was cold. No hot water at any sink faucets either. Although I am a fan of going green and having solar hot water, on rainy days you need to augment, especially if charging money over the price of a dock slip.
The marina people were there to help dock, water and electric all there, It would be nice if the bathrooms were open for boaters more than 7:30 am to 7:30 on inconvenient if you have guests. Why give a key or code?
Overall a really fun time at OB Marina! We had a great slip (#20) for people-watching. It was convenient to everything: restaurants & bars, a little grocery store, and all the Circuit Ave. shopping. You have to back into the slip so be prepared for that kind of tie-up. A dockhand was waiting to help us get in. It’s a fun vibe, friendly neighbors. We did not have any issue with noise late at night.
We had a wonderful stay in Oak Bluffs. The staff of the Oak Bluffs Marina extremely helpful assisting our landing and tie up at the dock. I would recommend a stay here, location is right in the middle of town.
When I made reservations I asked to be on bulkhead by our market in slip 16 which I have been in many times before ended up between two charter boats not enjoying
Great location. Restrooms and showers I wouldn’t use and WiFi is not good
Love going to the island but i really wish that the bathhouse had some sort of after hours key code access for boaters staying overnight. Additionally my slip for the weekend was missing a top step so it was extremely difficult for myself and my guests to get on/off my boat from the topmost step to concrete sidewalk surface. In my observations i had the only ladder with this issue which is discouraging and/or just bad luck.
The slip was nice and the staff were great. The walkway to the slip was filthy and people were loud and obnoxious very late. I know that's kind of the scene there, but it was a bit much.
The dockhand was great. The weather turned bad on us. We ether leave 2 days early or stay 5 more days. We left early and they would not give us a partial refund. Sad! Just becareful
Excellent trip. Excellent weather. We had an awesome slip and were asked many times how did we get it. Told them through Docwa booked a few months ago.
Staff was nice. Town run bathrooms/showers dirty and only cleaned once a day.
Our stay in a Oak Bluffs was very enjoyable. It’s one of our favorite places to go to.
Great time! Can’t wait for next year 2020, Love the Marina & Oaks Bluffs
Always a great time. Staff was there when you need them. Location is great.
Again this year we were very pleased with the location and services. See you again next year!
One of the most laid back marinas. Not many services with bathrooms that are either very far away or close at night. An incredible location.
Great Location close to shopping and the Ginger Bread houses...
I love Oak Bluffs and the marina, support is 5. The boaters restrooms are terrible. Shower temperature totally not acceptable, from Luke warm to freezing. Water from all shower stalls drain into one central drain. This is disgusting! My wife went into the ladies area yesterday. Conditions were sickly, excrement from one toilet running all over the floor, She had to leave immediately before she threw up! This has been going on for years! I will try this marina one more time. If conditions are not corrected My boat and all my friends with boats will give It up and go elsewhere.
Great place, awesome food, shops, beaches.. all within walking distance. Docking is on pilings so bring plenty of line and extra fenders. Dock staff was very helpful getting us set up in slip.
Sucha really great time and experience. Unfortunately with the weather we had to postpone the trip for a couple of days but we received a full refund for those days. That was veey much appreciated. A-1 experience in all aspects. Thank you all!
OB is always a great destination with hustle and bustle and something for everyone. We try and visit a couple of times a year. Noah and Todd are super people who strive to make each stay great and they achieve that status. Looking forward to our next visit.
Horrible to be quite honest. People who were on their boats on either side of us were up partying all night long. Barely slept! They weren't even staying on their boats as they were open console, would've been nice if they could've gone to the bars or hotels where they were actually staying! We were surprised there was no harbor master or anyone at all around to quiet them down.
The public shower and bathroom facilities leave much to be desired.
Marina services and location in the heart of Oak Bluffs are excellent. However, the otherwise fully enclosed harbor has a channel exposed to ENE winds which can cause breaking waves in the entrance which rock boats on both slips and moorings... and we got a strong Nor’Easter which did just that!
stay was terrific. The staff at the marina are professional and very helpful. assistance when docking is spot on. Oak Bluffs Harbor is a fun place to stay
Great location but facilities need updating. Bathrooms/showers are like beach facilities, showers cost $3.00 for 7 minutes, WiFi was non-existent where we were (near Nancy’s). Bathrooms locked up at night too, inconvenient. Otherwise fantastic location.
Wi-Fi was not consistent. Shower facilities required tokens and wouldn’t take bills. Good location.
Great place with plenty to do with the family and kids.
THe marina was fine as it always is. I'm very disappointed that the WIFI only work when you are within few slips of the dock house. We were about 10 slips down and barely could get a signal. With today's options, I find this unacceptable!
We had to leave a day early due to weather but the three nights at the marina were wonderful. Met lots of happy people! Love this place!
Not very private or beautiful. A solid marina but the slips are up against the street and sidewalk. Better spot for a mooring.
Great place for boating, and lots to do while docked. High energy atmosphere, and marina has easy access in and out of harbor making day trips easy. The bathrooms could use some work, but over all great place!
Location is convenient to town, harbor is easy to navigate, slips are easy to get in and out of, no one gets blocked in. Would be nice if there were a fish cleaning station and somewhere to buy ice before 7:00am.
The shower facilities were disgusting and in disrepair. Never any hot water. No hooks, no shower curtains, filthy conditions. $3 per shower??? Are you kidding? After fee spent on slip?? For that fee, the boaters should have a PRIVATE, clean and properly operating facility.
Always a nice venue. WiFi needs work. No signal at north end of head wall. Staff was invisible except for initial tie off.
Friendly Greeting upon arrival!! Assistance with docking and power combined with great weather made for an awesome weekend . Jelly Bean
No one to explain not a single amenities, not where to use bathroom about how trash works nothing but they said sign here and walked away period never again I have over ten friend who all have boats and we not going back sorry.
Great location marina bathhouse facilities could use an upgrade
We were warmly greeted by a young lady upon our arrival at Slip 26. She helped us with the lines and hookups with a big friendly smile. Helpful neighbors, lively visitors and quiet peaceful Saturday night’s sleep. Will be back next week.
I gave them 5 stars due to their communication. I was unfortunately unable to make my reservation due to weather. The marina called and gave me my assigned space and contact information incase I was able to make it!!
Friendly and accommodating staff. An employee was waiting for us at our slip and helped with check-in and power. Showers, bathroom and trash were somewhat conveniently located, however, the showers are maintained by the Harbormaster. As such, they are open to the public, never have hot water and the token machine is frequently broken. No cleats on slip #1, which floods at high tide and becomes slippery. Most dockage is simply a pole for tie off - very tight spaces. If you want to be close to the public and shops at Oak Bluff’s, and we did, the overall location is great.
A great stay in OB before the summer crush. staff was helpful. Restrooms are clean and in good repair, for now. They still need to police the seawall and speak to boaters who treat the harbor like a floating frat party.
I did not realize hourly docking was still available, since DOCKWA did not offer it. So, I spent $83+ dollars for 6 hours in a slip, instead of paying the hourly rate. I asked at Harbormaster's office if they would consider giving me a break and a future credit, not a refund, and they said no. My mistake for using Dockwa and not contacting the Harbormasters office directly. I was trying to "follow the new rules", and I was gouged for 6 hours of slip use. Not happy...
Nice protected harbor. Excellent location with lots to do right off the boat, and only a short walk to bus stops that can take you anywhere on the island. Night life near the marina is excellent. The marina and harbor Master was accommodating when we wanted to put in our boat on a mooring for a storm. Taking stars off though, for lack of a true dock system (Pilings and a rusty wall don't make the best home for a boat) and sub-par help when we first arrived.
This was our second visit to Oak Bluffs- The town is beautiful with great restaurants and shopping- a great town to walk. We reserved our Seawell slip thru Dockwa, incredibly easy! 5 stars for Dockwa! Couple of things to be aware of, the Seawell can be a very busy place- loud and not a lot of privacy. However, restaurants and bars only steps away. The (public) restrooms and showers were dirty- no hot water and shower stalls in terrible shape- Andy only open from 8 am to 6 pm. We stayed on slips because we have a dog- and being able to walk him anytime was a real plus. If you're of the party set- this is a great place- and I guess a lukewarm shower will wake you up after a rough night.
The dock hands were right there to help us in and connect up our power . It's a tight fit between the pilings at OB. Good kids. The fuel dock is small allowing only one , maybe 2 boats. This lengthens the fueling process. Staying in line is a problem and further complicated by ferry traffic in and out of the harbor. It can get scary , especially when you're waiting in line right where the ferry docks. The boaters showers , in a word ... disgusting. Overall , the experience of OB outweighs the shortfalls. Nothing like being "On the Wall " at OB.
Fun marina right in the middle of the action! Party central- we always have a great time here.
No WiFI. Say they have public wifi but you cannot connect to it at all. Noisy but good people watching.
The maina is centrally located in Oak Bluffs. A short walk will get you to the bus stop where you can take the bus to Vinyard Haven, Edgartown, or any place else on the island. If coming with dogs have good means by which to get them off the boat as you are stern into a fixed dock with about a 3' tide. We needed a 6' ramp. The bathrooms looked okayish but we hardly used them. Once off the boat Martha's Vineyard is a very nice eclectic place and will please most people in one way or another.
Great location. Good showering facilities with additional showering options at the inn across the street. Good dining at marina restaurant with many fun dining, shopping and music venue in the immediate walking area. Slips are back or front-in and you tie up at the wall placing you one step from the sidewalk prominade bustling with passers by. Water and electric provided in each slip. Best place to stay when visiting by boat on Martha's Vineyard.
Good spot but docking on pile-ons was tricky. Staff was not as weather/sea knowledgeable as one might think.
Staying at Oak Bluffs is always a pleasure... only reommendation would be better availability of WiFi
Always a great time in Oak Bluffs Marina! Very polite and easy to work with staff who go out of there way to make life in there marina a great time for there boaters. Thank you!
Great venue with slips that provide access to a ladder and Oak Bluffs. Shore power available and advance reservations through Dockwa makes it all enjoyable and easy!
Slips are narrow, boats do get wedged in pretty tight. However, great location in the center of town.
Horrible experience. The rift raft walking back and fourth and the drunks hanging out on the benches was disruptive to our vacation.
We specifically requested months ago to be put next to our friends because we all have little kids we need to watch. When we pulled in there was multiple open slips around us so I asked the dock attendant if our friend boats would be next to us , he said "yes" then they docked our friends boats on the other side, I raised the issue with the dock representive but he could care less. Very poorly organized and terrible customer service, you get better service at McDonalds!
Many stays at the bluff!! All great!! Great spot Nice staff
The bathrooms were very bad. This is the first marina that had poor bathrooms. 3 dollar tokens, no hot water, doors didn't stay closed. You could see the urinal from outside. Also there Wi-Fi doesn't work. You can't log on.
Marina itself is not bad but you are at a public bulkhead. If you don't have privacy issues you'll be fine but be prepared for lots of awkward stares. The flip side of this is that you are a stones throw from everything here. You don't see many staff but they are responsive when called on.
Its the Vineyard.. Marina was right in town and was a pleasant area to be in. Lots to do steps from the boat.
Great as always - and new addition of fuel dock is wonderful - but I fueled in Vineyard Haven because I didn't read your updated website - my bad!
Horrid experience w the boat next to us blasting radio at 2 and 3 in the morning--all drunk men--we had 4 kids on board -- nobody to call to do anything about it
Fun environment with many bars/ restaurants on the waterfront. Reminiscent of Red Hook in the USVI. Dock staff lacking in any interest in helping clients in an unusual docking situation. Also bathroom/ shower access neeeds to improve.
The slip I was assigned was too narrow for my boat. The rub rails on both sides actually pried the pilings apart to get in. The public bathrooms were we were told to use were dirty and locked at 9:30 PM ! The town of Oak Bluffs is beautiful, lots off nice restaurants & shopping, unfortunately I will never stay there again because of the poor facilities.
As usual the location is amazing, but the WiFi never worked on multiple devices, the ladders used when coming off the boats are loose and broken and the bathrooms are just dirty public bathrooms. Also being woken up one night to kids on the back of my boat looking in my cooler for beer makes me wonder why there is no security....a basic business where there is no money being put back in to improve anything.
Nice harbor with friendly staff. Very convenient to Oak Bluff restaurants. Will come again.
Booked many weeks in advance and requested to be next to a friend only to be denied multiple times, as they were sold out. There were many open slips over three days next to me. Found a local climbing down from above ladies room in the public marina bathroom, reported that to police!. Had my tender borrowed/stolen two years ago and got it back two weeks later. Beginning to wonder if this is a place I want to re-visit. Still managed to have a good time.
Stayed Thursday and Friday nights along the wall. Very noisy and the late night (bar crowd) is disrespectful to boat owners property. Bathroom facilities are town run and not kept up. Town facility shower $3 for 7 minutes and you might have hot water, Summercamp Hotel has showers available but $10 for 10 minutes...even though the town was nice, it wasn't my favorite place to visit.
Arrived on a very busy, crowded Sunday. Boats were rafted 4 deep in the mooring field. We took slip number 17 which is all the way around the cement bulkhead and wlakway from the ferry docks and waterfront bars/restaurants. Slip numbers 55-70 are closer to the busy waterfront. 1-25 are away from that and close to restrooms and a small market with the largest collection of wine that I have ever seen in a while. Very nice in a SW wind but close to foot and car traffic. Moorings are available (both day and overnight) in the middle of the very protected basin and their is a launch service on Ch. 77. The whole basin quieted down when all the Sunday day trippers left their moorings. Lots of restaurants, bars, kiddie activities, and people in the summer. A nice stop. One highight was watching the night time paddleboard lesson in the basin with underwater-lighted paddle boards that came out once the Pirate Ship tour quit for the day!
We were traveling with 2 other parties and they did not even try to accommodate getting us side by side, though there many open slips. The dockhand was useless and the gas dockhand was even worse. It's a great location but just don't expect any assistance.
The marina staff was very attentive, showers and restrooms clean and night life was great! Highly recommend tnis!
