Great spot for an overnight stay on shore power, Craig is the man.
We had a great overnight stay!
+Good docks. +Clean facilities. +Good access to town and restaurants. + close to park (nice surroundings) - Wifi super in the Office, but not reaching the last docks.
Great facility! Grocery shopping within walking distance. Many restaurants nearby.
This is a tricky spot to dock in high winds and current. The dock master, Craig, met us at the dock with extra hands to help us into our slip. Craig is very responsive and helpful. We were expecting high winds, but the local fishing boats who ignored the no wake zone, rocked us more than the winds. We had dinner at Souther Salt (a block away) - good food and friendly staff.
Easy dockage. Quiet and close to several restaurants. Will definitely stay again.
Reservation was fast and easy. Staff does a great job.
Dock master Craig was very helpful getting us doked, especially with the heavy current. Better to wait for slack tide!
Great place it was easy to put boat in and to go fishing great location
Easy and convenient. Great spot. Craig is a very friendly and accommodating person.
Very enjoyable, looking forward to stay agin next season
A lot of street construction going on in the area, but Very easy process and Craig was great!
Wonderful. Thank you once again.
Great location and great facilities. And service.
Dates: July 30 - 31, 2024 LOA: 48' Beam: 15' Draft: 3'4" We stayed one night on our way north. The current at this dock is very strong, even at slack current. The dock master is the only employee and is very nice and helpful. If you need assistance getting docked, make sure to call ahead with an ETA so he can be on hand. There are some sail boats anchored right across from these slips, but there was plenty of room for us to swing our 48' boat around to back into the slip. Plenty of restaurants to choose from a short walk away. Walmart is also available for grocery delivery if you need to provision.
Craig was about the best Dockmaster we have encountered on our ICW cruising. He reached out by phone early on the day of our arrival to discuss currents and wind conditions. We decided to leave earlier than planned hoping to arrive at slack. Even with little current, docking our single screw trawler was challenging but Craig and another volunteer helped us wrestle our boat into the end slip and tie up safely. Nice docks.
We rolled into this marina needing to leave the boat for a few days then keep heading north to spend some time in a yard to repower. Craig was amazing in communication and helping us get things accomplished. Our dinghy motor had failed, and we needed our bottom cleaned. He assisted with both providing info on local guys to help. This is the first marina we were using in 7 months as we live aboard and cruise full time. Couldn’t have been happier with the service, location and ease of the docks. Thanks again, Craig, for your professionalism and communication as we passed through. We will be back if the need ever arises!
Great spot! Docks are nice and we stayed at the hotel across the street. I could see my boat from my room!
Great floating docks. Great location! For the experienced only docking! Strong currents make it challenging docking vessels on the opposite sides of the slips and will certainly push your vessel into the two adjacent pilings potentially causing damage to your boat. If on lower tides, you'll certainly incur damage as a result due to the unkept pilings with sea growth protruding out (barnacles and large oyster type shells). Unfortunately, when I arrived a boat was in my slip (likely due to strong currents) and I was forced to dock in another slip finding myself fighting the strong currents and being pushed into the adjacent pilings. As a result, I incurred damage with deep scaring scratches from the protruding sea growth from the pilings. My son also incurred scratches to his legs from the barnacles on the floating dock side piling while trying to manage ropes (during low tide). PROS: Great location and floating docks! CONS: No apparent management/enforcement of boats docking in unassigned/reserved slips. - Experienced only captains docking during strong currents. -Strong currents. Not for solo docking! -Unkept pilings (sea growth not cleaned off) Will use this location again, however will exercise more caution when docking and using the slips during strong currents and lower tides.
Craig was very helpful! Nice place to spend the evening.
Craig was a great help in getting us docked and giving us suggestions for restaurants and reprovisioning via Walmart delivery. The bathrooms were clean and the showers nice and hot. A very nice stop on our trip.
Craig couldn't have been more helpful getting me in and it was the perfect location for me. Docks are like new. Lots of great restaurants nearby. There is quite a bit of current through the river that you can't ignore.
Craig, the dock master, is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is good with a lot of restaurants to choose from and a nice park adjacent to the marina. The price can't be beat. The docks are nice. The kayak rental that operates out of the marina kind of took over the marina on Saturday using unoccupied slips and blocking the docks. The tidal currents can be tricky. Slack current lags the crest/bottom by about an hour. The bathrooms were usable but could use a little cleaning/freshening. The showers needed a cleaning. We knew there was no pump out at the marina, but as it turned out there was none to be had in the city. Of the two marinas in town that reported to have pump-out facilities, one was not doing it and the other wouldn't answer the phone or hail on the radio. That is not this marina's fault, but it is something to be aware of. Regardless, it is a nice facility and we would stay there again.
They actually sent a text with slip assignment and marina map. I wish more marinas would do this allows you time to plan out your docking. Close to restaurants and services
Excellent, easy in easy out, nice town nice dock master
Reasonable price. You get the basics: power, water, shower, toilet. Surrounding area is well kept. Every shop owner we met was super nice. As most people comment, the docking is difficult in the strong current. Getting out of the slip was easier than anticipated.
Great place! Dock master is a true Down East gentleman I have stayed there several times and always recommend it to travelers!
Nice place new docks breaker kept tripping moved power to the other receptacle all good nice dock hand
Lovely little town! The finger docks really rocked side to side when walking.
Head a great stay, the harbor master Craig was very helpful. Despite or very windy visit to Morehead City, we were still able to see some of great things the city is doing on their waterfront. Great visit!
A basic dock with typical commercial restrooms and showers. Everything was clean and very serviceable. I'd recommend to the city installing some coat hooks in the bathrooms but other than that, no complaints at all. Craig, the dock master, greeted us and gave us information about the town. He also confirmed what other people had said, when the current is running fast, this dock can be difficult to get into. It was slack tide when we got there so no troubles at all.
Craig was Great to work with, he took real good care everything we needed. Great Location.
Everything was great from the time we arrived till the time we departed great place to dock your boat when in the area for an weekend trip
Craig the dock master is fantastic to deal with. He is incredible helpful and kind. The facility are well kept and conveniently located to many shops and restaurants.
Great dock master, Nice facilities, convenient to marine store, and restaurants.
This stop has to be timed with slack tide. Town docks are getting a lot of bird droppings build up. The bathroom locks are no longer working so safety can be an issue as public can access after hours and it is showing as to being clean. Craig ( dock master ) is always quick to confirm dock request and following up to make sure we are all set . The dockage rates here are great .
Great location great docks will return.
The facilities were clean and easily accessible, the communications were timely and helpful.
The dockmaster answers all questions. He meets and greets us every time and assists us . Great service
great!! dock manager is always helpful and informative thanks
What a pleasure ! Craig was accommodating and made staying an extra day EASY .. quick response to my questions. Clean facilities.. showers and restrooms.. and the floating docks were great too.. we’ll be keeping that our top 3 list
Pleasant stay. Clean bathrooms & showers. Downtown morehead city is beautiful.
#3Our one night stay at the Morehead City Trans Docks would have been better if the strong SSW wind hadn't turned the water into a washing machine. When we could not stand the constant rock and roll any longer at 3am, we were fortunate to find that the empty slip next to ours hadn't been claimed so we turned our boat 90 degrees to the west and tied up using both slips, numbers 3 and 4. This allowed our houseboat to rock fore and aft instead of side to side and we were able to finally get some rest. We had reserved our slip for two nights but as the wind forecast called for more of the same, as soon as it was daylight, we went back to Radio Island and put the boat back on her trailer and left for Fayetteville. If the wind had been from any other direction, from WNW to SSE, our rating would be 5 stars for the facility and location.
Great spot! Plenty of room and very responsive service!
Easy. Clean. Safe. Convenient
Great dockage in Mo City. Dockmaster could not have been more helpful.
As always 1st class clean and helpful
The Dock Master is so very helpful and communicative.
Dock Master Craig was awesome he greeted me at the dock and made sure everything was good great experience I will definitely be back
It’s always a pleasure being at the Morehead City Docks as Craig the Dock Master is so helpful and nice.
Perfect!! Great slip and great amenities!
Great experience all around. Craig is great
Easy transaction and were able to add another night last second. Thank you!
Craig was great, came down and helped us tie up and talked for a bit. Great guy!!!!!
Everything went well, Mr. Lee was very kind, professional and extremely helpful. The best
A very pleasurable adventure! Was so easy and fun!
Loved it. Very convenient and helpful dockmaster
Awesome experience!
Always professional and quick to respond Great location and amenities
Great spot. Close to many restaurants.
CRAIG WAST AMAZING. GREAT HOST..
Perfect! Thanks Craig!
Fishing boats cause early morning wakes, a neighbor had a fender break off due to wakes, otherwise great.
Craig and his staff were awesome helping us get docked. Loved the floating docks. Nor’easter blew in and it was rough in the marina. Also, the large fishing boats leave between 4-6 am in the morning and their wake rocks the boats in the marina. Only compliant; restroom / showers are not exclusive to the marina boaters, but are for the public use as well. Restrooms were not cleaned over the holiday weekend. If they were, the didn’t stay clean because of the public using them.
Craig is fantastic. Always there to help.
Craig the dock master was very competent, pleasant and very helpful. We have enjoyed our stay here.
Always a smooth, reliable stop here in Morehead City.
I can't say enough about the Dockmaster. We ended up stranded here with an engine problem. We needed to extend our stay & Craig worked with us. I ordered a part and Craig (Dockmaster) went way above and beyond making sure that the part was delivered to the Rec. Center. When it arrived, he brought it right to our boat. A+
Super people. decent floating docks. There is strong WiFi (one listing I read said no WiFi). Clean showers and restrooms very close. Close to many restaurants. But a pretty long bike ride to grocery store. Longer to the ABC Beverage location. Not too bike friendly roads. Couple negatives: Can get waked or wind driven waves from SW. Docks open to public incursion so practice normal security. A laundry would be a great addition. Would stay again.
Clean restrooms and showers. Easy access to restaurants. Great stay. Harbor master received us by phone and on-line registration after hrs!
Excellent spot to spend the night or weekend. Easy access all new floats many restaurants within walking distance
Very much above average in service and genuine concern for pleasing their clients.
Wonderful stay at Morehead City Transient Docks. New facilities with top-notch floating docks, bathrooms, and showers. Also, walking distance to great restaurants along the water. 5-stars!
good dock assistance, nice facilities, reasonable price. I'll stay there again. Very convenient to many restaurants.
GREAT stay with a very attentive dock master, Craig. Excellent communication both before and during our long stay waiting out a Nor’Easter & remnants of Hurricane Nichole. Good showers and head. Close to restaurants. Can’t think of anything even marginal to say. Exactly what we needed and more than we’d hoped.
We initially came for a few nights but due to weather are staying for over a week. Craig was able to accommodate our request (thankfully). Facilities are very clean, dock is in great shape. Convenient to marine stores, shopping and restaurants. Would stay here again.
Craig the Dockmaster is extremely accommodating and facilities were super clean. As noted the current rips so play arriving/departing at slack tide.
Thank you Dockmaster Craig!! This lovely spot is certainly underestimated. It has a nice park with swings and picnic tables. Very close to shops and restaurants. Moorhead city transient dock rocks.
Clean bathrooms. Overall a good facility. Be aware of current. Restaurants and bars in walking distance. Staff helpful. I would stay here again
The Dockmaster (Craig) was awesome, great customer service in contacting me beforehand and explaining the set up, as well as a quick call after we arrived. Bathroom and shower facilities were clean and well-lit, location in Morehead City near several pubs and restaurants is ideal. Hope to stay here again soon!
Simple docks with limited facilities. The restrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Can be tough to get in when the current is running. Easy walking distance to many restaurants. No nearby groceries or laundry. (4+ miles). Good for an economical overnight stop.
Craig was really helpful. Even the current caught me off guard when tying up but he was there to help. He filled us in on the activities that day.
Very convenient! Dock master is the best!
Excellent docking area. Craig is a true professional and went out of his way to take care of my boat and I during the Big Rock tournament. I highly recommend and will definitely be back.
It was very convenient. Craig was very helpful and pleasant to work with. We will definitely do it again.
We stayed over a week to repair our props and wait out bad weather. We drove home to see family and Craig, the Dockmaster kept and eye on our boat for us. He provided outstanding customer service and was always available to help. The docks are floating and a short walk to all the downtown restaurants and bars. The marina is exposed to the southwest, so be careful in those winds. You will enjoy your stay.
Great stop! Cool town. Dock manager is awesome
Fantastic location, good berths, clean. We will return.
Very nice city Marina;. Close to boardwalk, restaurants, etc
The dock master, Craig, is great to work with and the accommodations are top notch! Hot water in the showers, clean, and great electric. Very pleased and will be back!
Great location and dockmaster Craig was extremely helpful and responsive. We had to adjust our reservation a few times due to mechanical and weather issues, and he always got right back to us and even offered to come down to the dock to lend us a hand if needed on a holiday weekend.
The dock master is amazingly helpful. The current can be bad.
Older facility but very convenient for town. Time the currents as they can be swift. No weekend Dockhands but Craig, the full time weekday dockmaster offered to drive in to meet us. We declined. He then alerted another vessel who was staying to keep an eye out for us. They met us and helped with the lines which was most helpful since winds were at 20 mph at our bow and there was a one knot opposing current. Lots of nearby restaurants and very convenient for walking the dog since the slips back right up on an area of lawn.
Thank you perfect place for our situation
Very nice professional dock master nice clean showers and bathrooms wifi worked great as well. Would recommend this to anyone in the area that needs to stay for a bit .
Catamarans are on exterior dock 11. You need a extra long powercord to conect to pole dock 9/10. Dockage can be difficult with SW winds and current. So be carefull and call ahead for help if small crew. Wifi was not working! Dockmaster Michael was helpfull and friendly.
Great mooring. Just needs wifi booster and 10 more degrees in showers ( November).
Clean, easy dock access, had no problem getting in before checkin time, very affordable
We had a great stay here. Planned 2 nights but stayed 4 due to weather. Dock master Mike got us tied up securely and shared some local knowledge. Great food and bars. Locals are extremely nice. Our second stay here and will be back. Clean bathrooms and shower.
Nice and very helpful staff. I would highly recommend others to use docking facilities at Moorehead City and Dockwa
The dockmaster was very helpful and pleasantly friendly. The town was great with plenty of options for eating and supplying the boat with provisions. I plan on making this one of my regular stops. Unusual strong SW wind (30 mph) drove high waves broadside and made it difficult to get on/off the boat. Not the normal condition.
Mike, went out of his way to help us dock and secure our lines! There were several places to eat in a very safe marina! Joe and Terry
Great dock no issues and thank for the use of the house. We will be back.
Great access to the city. Manager is very helpful and professional. Strong current runs across the slips.
A bit rocky at times from the big boats on the ICW, but everything else was great. The dock manager was the best. Everything you need is close by. Great food and even had an old style general store.
Great accommodations. Dock Master was great.
Calm night. Next to lots of restaurants and bars. Clean facilities after hours we got a response very quickly to a question.
Nice facilities and friendly dock masters. Always a great place to dock.
Dockmaster was pleasant and helpful. Docks are in good shape. Also close to down town. The strong current Is perpendicular to slips so docking is challenging especially with ebb tide and Southey wind.
Dock was open and everything was as expected. Great communication prior and after my stay.
Great service from Mike. He was so helpful!
Great location with easy walk to restaurants/businesses on the boardwalk. My boat is a catamaran with 21 foot beam so there is only one slip (slip11) available for this width. This slip has no dedicated power pedestal so you need a long power cord to reach the one for slip 10 (assuming that it is not already occupied/in use). Bath facilities were average and typical for a public dock. Could not receive wi-fi signal from our slip.
This year much different than last. No staff on docks. Another boat in our slip that we had to ask and wait for them to move. Restrooms are shared with public and it was a special event so long lines. Showers are locked but have no head.
Very helpful staff.
Great. Mike, the dosck master, was very helpful. Easy dockage and close to hotel.
Lee is great! We had a great stay.
Lee the dockmaster was the most friendly, helping, efficient dock-master I have ever experienced! Requested a reservation on Dockwa got an immediate reply. Lee offered all the information we needed to know about the tides/approach and let us choose our slip! Mike the dock hand just as friendly. Have never had a more friendly welcome to a city dock! We checked out Tight Lines Brewery and Rudy Duck both excellent places to visit. We had a pleasant one day/overnight visit in Morehead City and loved the local feel/touch. Hate the big mega marinas with owner attitudes and big fee's, love the small town local approach they do here and we will definitely stop here again!
A great place to weather a storm. Dockmaster Lee went out of his way to make sure we got in safely after hours and had everything we needed.
Great location - steps to historic downtown Morehead City with plenty of fine restaurants & bars, and Lee, the dockmaster, is fantastic. He answered all our calls immediately, even during off hours, met us at the dock and handled our lines like a pro. The current can be strong so call Lee ahead of time to find out the best time to arrive.
Lee, the Dockmaster, was wonderful! He assisted us with reservation process through DockWa which was very easy. He offered to greet us and handle our lines, much appreciated since it was very windy that day. The map of the area and the recommended cab company phone number (which we used) were very helpful. He sent us off by helping us with our lines upon departure. We really appreciated Lee's calm, service oriented way of doing business and highly recommend him especially as well as the well-maintained and convenient Transient Dock facilities to anyone passing through Morehead City. Steve and Ginny Jackson/ 'Journey'
Nice facility, even nicer staff. Couldn’t have been more helpful docking, departing, with information and maps, and had the answers to any question. The currents are a little tricky but very doable. A good reasonably priced stop. You’ll enjoy the town.
We originally had a 4 day reservation until the weather changed and we were hit with extended gale conditions. Our 4 day stay was extended to over 2 weeks. During this stressful time for us as we were running against date restrictions, Lee was most accommodating. Lee went as far as to keep a very watchful eye on our boat during the high winds when we were called out of town for a few days. He stayed in regular text communication to calm any concerns we had. This was not our first visit to the transient dock and will not be our last. Lee makes you feel so welcome, like a welcome friend coming for a visit. This rating needs extra stars * * *
Although the Marina should have been aware of our draft, 5’8”, when we docked at high tide we showed 1.7’ under the keel while the tide was falling. In the morning we showed 0.7’ under the keel and falling. When we backed out of the slip we had .04’. Had we not left earlier than planned we would have been stuck in the slip for several hours.
Lee, the dock master, is so helpful and the Marina is very convenient to restaurants and a full service boatyard is next door.
Lee could not be nicer and keeps us updated and informed regarding our stay. The docks are perfectly located for walk around shopping and excellent dining. I would recommend a stay to all ICW travelers!
Wonderful stay to wait out gale. Quite exposed to the west and we were bouncing against the dock. Dockmaster Lee is wonderful. Gave us a map of town that he had created. He insisted that we call us before departure which was at 730am so he could help us get off the docks. The first Saturday in December is the boat Christmas parade which we were able to enjoy. It seemed like the whole town was out.
Lee the dock master was extra helpful even providing his own map. The facilities are nice and the location is great, near lots going on.
Kirk and Lee rocked the customer service! We are first timers on the ICW and first week in our new Sailboat. They were incredibly patient waiting in the dark for us delayed by low tides and needing to abort three times docking.
Docks are better than most city facilities that we've visited up and down the east coast...just watch the current. What sets this above the rest though is the staff...in particular the dockmaster, Lee Everett. He went well above any I have ever seen and not only made sure that we had everything that we needed but went way above the norm in assisting us in a dental emergency. He is both a great dockmaster, and a great ambassador for the town of Morehead City.
Lee was excellent to work with. Very professional. Look forward to returning soon!
Lee was great in helping us dock. Gave us a map of everything available walking the town. It was awesome
Lee is hands down the best asset the city has EVER had. Will be back for the 3rd time because of him !!!! Top notch service !!!
A nice small city managed facility. Lee, the dockmaster was great, even coming down at 0545 to help us let go. The current runs very strong across the dock so plan ahead for docking procedures.
Great spot! Dockmaster is kind and accommodating. Kid friendly.
Lee, the dock master went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. He was there when we landed, and insisted on helping us get off the dock, even though we were leaving at 4am! Lee also provided us with a map of Morehead City and recommendations of shops for provisions. Showers and bathrooms were OK.
We were towed here, as we'd had an engine part fail and could not motor. At the time, it was entirely empty. There have been occasional, brief, catamarans docking on the opposing side of the finger, and we've made some new cruising friends as a result. Water and electricity are included in the economical rates. The bathrooms and separate showers (men/women, unisex, respectively) are sparkling clean. Showers are compact, with handicap bars and folding seats, along with a control to allow fixed, overhead (typical shower arrangement) or hand-held 'telephone' style sprayer. We'll be sure to use them again on our next visit!
Great stay! Nice docks and beautiful evening views. MHC is always a wonderful stop over and Lee, the dock master is always willing to lend a hand.
Awesome as always. Great Location and very nice docks.
Always great customer service and perfect location!
The great thing about MHC docks is the personal attention you get from the Dock Master, Lee. The slips are excellent with wide finger piers and floating docks. Fantastic water pressure. Excellent eating establishments are right along the waterfront just a short walk from your boat. I always feel safe here.
Every part of my visit from booking, docking, facilities, interaction with the Dock Master was pleasant, professional, and relaxing. I especially appreciate the personal touch and time allowed me from the Dock Master. He went out of his way to make sure every part of my stay was worth my time & money. I received much more than I expected!
Close to restaurants. Clean. Good "no frills"dockage for overnight stay.
Staff and facilities were great. Lee does a great job.
Wonderful time. Dock master was kind and helpful
Lee is a wonderful dock master! The facility is perfect and very clean! We look forward to seeing Lee next year. TripleF captain Robby and Cathy
Dock master was very helpful and available.
5 Star review - thank you!
Grounded out at low tide drawing 3.5 feet Suggest bow in only
Very friendly and helpful staff!
A great facility at a reasonable price, inclusive of power, wifi, showers. Close enough to shops and restaurants. Lee was great at short notice with storm coming, he met us at docks to help with lines. Thanks Lee.
Docks in great shape, floating, all facilities very clean. Staff is super helpful. Great protection from the last N/NE Gale. Next to a small park that is constantly being cared for.
This was a great stay close to restaurants and stores to reprovision and the dockmaster Lee was very helpful, definitely would stay again
Dockmaster Lee was great on the phone, and very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. We’ll be back!
Strong current parallel to dock. Very shallow on shore end of docks (<3ft). Nice park by docks. Limited amperage on power pedestal breakers for heavy usage boats. Dockmaster very helpful.
Great location. Harbormaster is professional and very courteous offering assistance at every step of arrival and departure. Current can be challenging. Recommend arriving and departing near slack water. Many great restaurants in walking distance.
Very friendly people. The installations OK.
Excellent service by the dock master and staff on a very busy (and windy) afternoon.
Very nice facility. Really enjoyed the live band at Alive at Five. The Dockmaster Lee is super friendly and always makes sure our stay is perfect.
First class! Dockmaster is completely on top of things. Great service. Nice to be remembered as a repeat customer and welcomed like a friend.
Dock Master was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived and docked for the evening. The facilities were very clean and modern. The location is within walking distance to many restaurants and great shops. We will definitely dock here again. Thank you for hosting us.
Great place to stop and rest. Easy to get in and out. Slips are in great condition with good depth (we draft 8 feet, no problem) facilities are clean and many places to eat. The nicest people, the place has a safe friendly atmosphere.
Everything was great: location, staff, facilities. Ace Marine hardware within walking distance and several good restaurants nearby. Would stay here again.
Dockmaster Lee is outstanding, very welcoming and runs a great facility. The docks are in great shape.
Current can be a bit tricky. Time your arrival around slack tides.
Very nice friendly dock master, bathroom and showers nice and close to dock, the shower curtain in men’s room needs to be replaced. Close to restaurants and marine store which was nice as well. Boat was rocking a lot with the wind pointing right at it but that was just the weather.
Facilities were nice. Docks were clean and neat. Lee the dockmaster checked on us a couple of times and was very pleasant.
Very difficult place to dock with 2knot current running perpendicular to the floating docks. Wait for slack water, and possibly local volunteers will help with lines. Power boxes were damaged, with only 1 screw holding in the 30 & 50 amp sockets. The 30 amp breaker kept tripping at 22 amps, so we used one side of our 50 amp splitter to get the full 30. Close to expensive and noisy restaurants (on a Tuesday).
Very nice!! Clean restrooms, hot showers, enjoyed our stay!
Highly recommend! Great location and docks.
Morehead City Transient Docks was very good to us. We stayed there well over a month as live-aboards on our way south. The dock master, Lee, was very kind and helpful. The location was great as it was a short walk from many restaurants and several parks. The bathrooms were convenient and clean. We enjoyed our time at the marina and the area.
Great Docks! We stayed right across the road and the convenience was wonderful. Lee Everett, the dock-master, was very helpful and made our stay simple!
Lee was awesome. Very helpful!
Dock easily accessible and very clean. Didn't use facilities. Hope to use again.
Floating docks are in good shape and pricing is good. Dockmaster Lee is friendly and accomodating, but is not very experienced. We have a cat, and as such we were put on the E end face dock. This dock is very shallow at low tide near the seawall, so we should have gone bow in toward the wall, but he told us incorrectly it did not matter, leading to our rudders sitting on the bottom at low tide. Fortunately they have a skeg to protect them. We would be fine bow in as low water depth was 7'+ at other end of dock. Location is excellent for access to restaurants and Morehead City waterfront attractions. Power, water and Wifi access is good and restrooms/showers are not far away as there are only 10 slips. No laundry facilities or ice at office. The park onshore has Sat evening concerts (ending at 8:30pm) in the summertime - easy to watch from on board. Marked down from 5 stars due to lack of full facilities and lack of knowledge of dockmaster putting us on the bottom.
The only negative review I would have is that I came in one afternoon and another boat took my slip and moved my reserved sign off my slip.
