About
Mitchell Park Marina is located in the center of the waterfront Village of Greenport. The marina contains 60 floating slips and a 640' standing pier. The floating slips can accommodate vessels up to 80'. The standing pier can accommodate up to 250' and offers single phase 208V and 240V electric as well as three phase 480V electric. All overnight stays are made in advance and through Dockwa.com (No reservations are taken for day stays). Reservations can be requested for 7 nights or less. Any requests greater than 7 nights need special approval by marina staff. Mitchell Park also contains a historic Carousel which is open year round, as well as an Ice Rink during the winter months.
CHECK OUT: Check out is PRIOR to 11 AM. If you wish to check out later than 11am, the request must be placed at the time of your original reservation request. We reserve individual slips months in advance, and chances are your slip will have an arrival immediately after your departure.

Unfortunately for me, all the marina staff left early that day without notice. They were supposed to remain open until 5 o’clock and they left before then. Unable to get access to the bathrooms or showers since there was no one to get the code from. There was also no one on the dock to help with docking. They provided minimal services yet still charged the full rate? Overall, disappointed with the lack of services and inconsideration for its boaters.
The staff that manage the Mitchell Park are very accommodating and helpful. The problem with the marina is it is right downtown making it a very noisy place. Specifically from the waterfront bars which which had very loud live music which lasted until 2:00 AM. If you're looking for a good night sleep don't come here.

No one on the docks to assist and dock were disgusting. And covered in bird poop…..clearly hadn’t been washed or even hosed off in some time. I understand that it’s the end of the season but if you’re going to diminish your quality, diminish
In a word, "Quiet". There were maybe 4 other boats in, as we are in the shoulder season. It is a bit roomier marina than most, so easy in and out. Restaurants in town were still open on Wednesdays which was nice. In the off season they tend to be closed Monday - Wednesday for most of them.
Great location! Easy access to Greenport which is a beautiful village with many restaurants and shops. Tons of help with lines. Overall great experience!

Ferry wake at slip is very disruptive. Dock master threw three garbage bags on our boat from another boat. Didn’t even ask.

The dock staff was efficient and friendly. The dock and grounds are well kept. The restrooms and showers however are old, neglected and dirty. They clearly need to be cleaned on a.more frequent basis. The combos to both bathrooms were problematic and staff were called to assist. They also had difficulty and acknowledged the problems.

We had a great time during our first stay here. The marina location is perfect, being right next to the village and in walking distance to all the shopping, restaurants, LIRR train station, and Shelter Island Ferry. The floating concrete docks are great, the bathrooms & showers were clean (w/lock to keep it separate from public restrooms) and dockhands were friendly, skilled and very helpful!
We arrived late Monday but called ahead and got all the location detail and follow up emails from the park. The place is very clean and well cared for. Music entertainment was on Monday mite and was really fun. Good sailing neighbors and a very peaceful visit.
Sadly, we would not recommend this marina. We came in on a Sunday and left Wednesday in late August. The dock staff were excellent: efficient, incredibly friendly and helpful, and very professional. Bathrooms and showers were decent. But the problem was the marinas location. Greenport is a terrific town and the marina is right in the middle of downtown. This was a benefit in terms of convenience, but unbearable in terms of noise. On Sunday there was a live cover band playing at a restaurant on the next pier over. It was too loud to enjoy sitting out back in the boat. Monday night there was a live concert in the town square, right in front of the marina. Incredibly loud music til 945. Best seats in town if you wanted to listen, nightmare if you wanted to sleep or relax. Lastly, the marina is open and exposed to the main channel with tons of boat traffic. We were directly exposed to all the wakes, which left us tossing and turning, pitching and rolling all day and into the evening. So although Greenport is a terrific place to visit and the marina is well run, I would recommend it only if you don’t mind noise and lots of rolling.
I stayed for the Off Soundings race weekend again. Having the slip assignment in advance was helpful. Need to have more paper towels in the restrooms. I would stay again. My main problem was the very loud music from Claudio’s very late into the early mornings both nights. Is there no curfew? I am surprised that the village allows this.
Staff are amazing! Right there to assist and welcome you for your stay. There were 7 boats arriving at about the same time and they handled it like pros. Constant communication, total assistance and service with a smile. Great Job!!!!! See you again soon Steve & Pat

We booked an overnight slip last minute and had a great stay. We are in a small center console and spent the night in a hotel, so didn’t need electric/water or facilities. That said, the dockhands were very helpful and attentive and the dockmaster was helpful and responsive curing the booking process. They were very easy to work with.

Great place to stay, right in front of downtown. They sent line handlers out as we approached and had one help push us off the next day. Showers were spacious and not on timers. Was able to fill water tanks right at the slip. Bonus - steps to a commuter rail station if you want to visit the rest of Long Island or New York City.

Head door locks difficult or inoperstional. Not the marinas responsibility but Claudio’s next door was having a rock concert till 0130 fri amd sat. Pump out facilities down for the time we were there. Staff were very very helpful and some of the best we’ve had since leaving Florida. Knowledgeable and personable while giving direction for safe docking. Overall we enjoyed the visit immensely. Thank you, Dave
Absolutely amazing. The bees were a bit much but there is nothing anyone can do about nature. We’ll be back next year for our yearly trip to Greenport.
Not a good place for sailboats. Most of the supposed amenities are non-functional. Pad for entry to women’s heads/showers dysfunctional; pump out boat does not work; slips are very rocky. Noise from town intolerable. Docks are full of power boaters making a lot of noise. The only plusses are proximity to town center and dockhands very good but for the high price, it is a rip off and I feel I should get some reimbursement for what I paid. We do not recommend.
This year things seemed to improve. No problem getting in with dock hands helping. Info was given both online and in person, wifi password, bathroom code and ice availability . Only complaint was wifi was weak at dock A, may be it was too far from the office.
Wished we were staying longer Just a few comments but please don't take this the wrong way as we very much enjoy you facility...... -It would be nice IF your dock attendants had Trash Pick Up schedules for the yachts... Could put some added tip moneys in their pockets....Just saying that would iff been a nice feature.. Most other docks do have that to offer.. -Also I don't know WHY we get charged for Tender Dockage Fee when the tender is tied on the "Hip" of the vessel...?????? That's the first time I have ever seen that extra charge and I don't think that's right to do.. Now if we took a separate slip I could see that! but not when its on my side !!! Not happy about that.... Other than that we enjoyed our stay.. Thanks again Captain David

I love the location and the proximity to everything in town. The dock hands are very attentive and the docks and facilities are in good shape. I also like the fact that they have a pumpout on the inside of the seawall. The fairways are a bit narrow but the dockhands do a great job getting everyone in and out.

Greenport is a place you will want to go back to, again and again. And, if you love to be close to everything, this is the place to be, as the marina is in the heart of the village. The staff is highly organized and very helpful. It was nice to receive communication ahead of time, with the slip assignment and instructions for required docking line placements. As usual, office, and dock, staff were fantastic! Really a terrific place to stay in Greenport. One improvement I might recommend would be checking the quality and bandwidth of the Wi-Fi at the docks. Seems to be very weak and spotty.

We actually cancelled our reservation. I understand losing the dockage deposit, rightly so, but I don't understand why they would keep a deposit for electric, a utility that was not used. I think this policy should be amended.

The name fits since there is a small park at the the marina with many park benches and grass with gorgeous views of the water and Shelter Island. Short walk to all the shops and restaurants that Greenport has to offer. We will be back.
Couldn't be Happier! Dock Hands are extremely helpful and polite. I commend them for their assistance while docking. Dockmaster very respectful and pleasant, always willing to help and accommodate my needs. Everette manages the surrounding grounds extremely well. I shall RETURN!

Stayed two nights, night 1 was perfect, night 2 was not good as the Marina has no night guards. At 2:00 a.m. a bunch of fowl-mouthed kids having a slip in the Marina were drunk and very loud for the better part of 2 hours. First time ever as we have frequented at Mitchell Park several times. They need to have a patrol or provide a security no. to call in events like this

Excellent customer service. Had to leave early owing to inbound weather and they were kind enough to reimburse us. Town is nice, as expected, pricey given the area. Definitely will choose Mitchell’s again.

overall, a good marina and place to stay. dock hands are attentive but need to be proactive with larger boats. In a cross wind they can't expect to hold a line, they need to make it fast quickly and the captain can maneuver to keep from drifting over. captains tip better when dock hands help make it look easy

Great place! Floating cement docks mitigated water movement. Steps away from a wide variety of restaurants. Reasonable pricing especially for a seasonal area. We did not use the marina showers and heads.
Mitchell Park had been consistently a great place to stay with our boat. It is close to all but still quiet. The ferry’s run, but they really aren’t a bother.

Several short term power outages interrupted a Perfect stay -- one solved by moving my power cord to the other side of the Power Post. Others were solved by just flicking the breaker switch. First one was assisted by a Dock Hand. Facilities are great and all of the dock hands that we interact with were gracious and friendly.
Greenport is one of our favorite towns to visit and this is by far the best municipal marina. Dock office is very well organized while dock hands know what they are doing. We were on the pier and had a great view of the carousel as well as Shelter Island. There is such a positive energy coming from Claudio’s while there are a handful of good restaurants within walking distance. For us, this is the jewel of the north fork.
Mitchell Park is a good place to stay in this part of Long Island. Depending on where your slip is, the waves can get rough at times. It is well located with respect to Greenport. The office, trash, and restrooms, such as they are, are a pretty long walk from the slips. This is not a real big deal, but may be a factor for some. Dock hands were very helpful and professional.
Great and cordial staff. Always helpful. No laundry facilities. Super access to town and a local supermarket is in walking distance. If you like bbq brisket or pull pork, one of the best we ever had is on the main drag. Love the town
Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the North Fork for those who want to do Wine Tasting at any one of the many vineyards. Docks are in great shape and the staff knows how to handle the lines.

Location was superb to access all parts of town with a great view of the fireworks from the boat. A little too close to North ferry and the horn blowing starting around 6 am but still a place. We will return. Only issue was the WIFI. Was unable to connect and get any access the entire weekend. An upgrade here would be greatly appreciated.

This was our first time at Mitchell Park Marina. The staff is awesome and worked with us on a late checkout which was very much appreciated. The location is right in town so easy walk to dining, shopping and supply replenishment. The only critical feedback would be on the showers and restrooms. They were not clean and can really use a facelift.

Beautiful docks; not quite so beautiful bathrooms (which are inconveniently distant from the docks). This is a great location immediately adjacent to downtown Greenport with easy access to shopping, restaurants, etc. Self service pumpout is a nice convenience, too. After many years of transient stays at other Greenport marinas, this was our first stay at Mitchell Park… we’ll absolutely return.
The marina is lovely, well protected from almost any wind angle and the staff here are first class. The dockhands are the nicest and most welcoming I have ever met.

Aside from the fact that the showers/bathrooms needed a good cleaning (the paper towel bin was overflowing with used paper towels all weekend, the sinks needed scrubbing and the floors in the shower section needed a good cleaning (dirt behind the door which was also there all weekend,) our stay was uneventful. We have stayed at Mitchell's many times over the years and like the fact that it is in the center of town but the showers need to be better maintained.

This is a nice transient Marina conveniently located to Town. Only downside is be prepared to bounce around in your slip from all the boat traffic in the Bay.

We stayed at Mitchell Park Marina to attend the Monday night music in the park and they docked a huge yacht in front of our boats (there were 6) and blocked our view. Note there were several other places they could have easily docked that boat including just moving it up some since there were very few boats there. I asked the staff to resolve the issue and got no response and the people on the boat were extremely rude. We have stayed at the marina several times and similar issues have happened. Planning the dock space for the events should be pretty simple but customers are not considered or acknowledged. Also the communication is terrible. You cant connect them during off season to ask questions and in season it is also difficult to make contact. The positive is the location is great.
Nice concrete docks. Right in the middle of town. Some rocky wave action from the ferries going back and forth to Shelter Island but mostly just during the day. Very helpful dock hands.

This outfit did a great job with what they have. Docks are great and it opens up right onto a park like setting. Town is cool, not great, but some very good restaurants. Decent little French bistro, very good Swiss restaurant. Took the ferry over to Shelter Island for Brunch, good plan. Overall, 5 stars and the crew were very knowledgeable.

The marina location is great and well protected. The marina emailed us in advance docking information including slip details. The dock hands were on hand to help and did a fantastic job. The bathrooms were horrible and we just used the facilities on our boat. The bathrooms would put me off going back.
Loved the location. Docks were great and marina staff were very helpful! New floating docks with power and water that worked well. We loved the vibe there too, with lots of transient boaters. The bathroom facilities can use a little upgrade, but other than that...a great place to stay.

First of all the dark hands were amazing, Cori-jo and right on target. The marina is in an excellent location if you’d love to be in town. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner as well as the shower. It’s not the worst I’ve seen but also not the best and my wife wasn’t very comfortable in the bathroom. I would still say this is a great location and worthwhile especially for the price being reasonable

Great staff and the best location for supplies, public transportation, dining and entertainment. The bathrooms could use some cleaning but the shower water was hot. It was blowing over twenty knots and the slip was still comfortable. Got to watch a guy in a sailboat attempt a downwind docking in that wind which was quite entertaining. Overall good stay.

Ferry dock nearby at times rocked the boat quite a bit and was noisy from 5am until midnight. Our dock power was not working. We reported it and it was not fixed during our stay.

The best thing about this marina is it's location. It's in the middle of Greenport with many shops, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and laundromat very close by. The wifi is weak and spotty. The bathrooms were just ok. They didn't seem to clean them very often. Claudio's music on the weekends can be annoying, but they stop fairly early. There was a boat in the marina that played loud music late. The docks are not secured with a locked gate so anyone can walk the docks. We were docked at the end of A dock and found it quite rough possibly due to the Shelter Island ferry.
The bathrooms need to be maintained better. Always a nice place to stay

There were just two boats in the marina perhaps five dollars a foot in May is a little expensive avgraduated dockage fee plan would probably work much better maybe two and three dollars in the spring then the full five dollars in the summer after memorial day In my business we have a saying some money is better than no money. Greenport is one of our favorite places. Mitchell Park is right downtown. Good marina, great docks, best electrical power. Staff very helpful. However the facilities are not being maintained, The docks need maintenance, but are cleaner than our last visit.

As always, we love Mitchell Park. Everything is so close and dock crew is very responsive. Only issue is bathrooms are in need of a facelift. Town of Greenport needs to put some money towards this.

Reservations for two nights through Dockwa. When we came in after 3 calls I was able to get someone for slip number. No dock hands came out to help. Was a difficult park but had few friends on board able to get them on dock to tie down. I went to office and no one inside. We arrived on Thursday so it wasn’t like they were busy in fact me and friends helped 3 other boats come in. Hour later I called office and got answer machine 3 hours later I get someone and told him no one is out here helping. His reply was why you need help? A little late. Let’s talk about the bathrooms. Your better off going in the woods. It’s a shame with this great location and awesome town.

Was a great stay after they figured out I had a reservation. Made me wait for 1 hour driving around saying at first I didn't have a reservation.
Staff very nice and helpful. Ideal location! The marina caters to power boats, the boats are packed pretty tight for a sailboat’s maneuverability. The bathrooms were also pretty dirty.
Marina staff was helpful and the dockage was in great condition. The facilities could use a little more attention, but other than that it is satisfactory. The location is prime as the restaurants and shops are right there.

Our first time at Mitchell Park this past weekend and it was excellent! They accommodated our large group and the dock hands were great. It was a very windy and rough sea day, making it hard to dock, but they got us right in. The other boaters we met there were so friendly, helpful and fun. Our boat neighbors even helped us shove off in perfect boater fashion. It's so great how all boaters, for the most part, just instantly get along and can have fun together even though you just met! I loved the marina and the grounds. Very easy walk into town. Can't wait to go back. I came to the big realization today after one of our experiences there with one other 'couple', that not everybody who has a boat is a boater. So beware of those people. As far as Mitchell Park goes, my husband and I highly recommend it
The marina was gorgeous and clean, the dock hands were the sweetest kids ever, the location is perfect, and the daytime stay was an A+. BUT we had to call the police after 10 pm for the enormous dock party that left us unable to even hear our TV. Even after the music was forced to be turned down by the police the boat partied, people screamed and sang loudly, and guys were peeing off the dock on the side of our boat. I write this in the morning feeling drained, exhausted and overall sick from lack of sleep. This will be a ‘daytime only’ marina from here forward which makes me sad, because the physical marina and staff were absolutely wonderful.

Very convenient to the downtown area and dock hands were very good and polite. My only complaint was that the docks were covered in bird droppings and needed to be cleaned.
The property is not kept up like is has been in the past, it used to be pristine. There was garbage, food containers and empty bottles left by the bench at the ramp to the floating docks, it sat there for 3 days. Also, the condition of the bathroom is atrocious, in this post covid world we are enduring most establishments have stepped up their cleaning protocol. It looks like they haven't cleaned the restrooms since the beginning of boat season.
Friendly, Professional and most helpful staff. Steve (Temp. Dock master) is great. We are booked in at Mitchell Park Marina for a few weeks. The berth for Monday, August 16 was for our chase boat. The 108' Mangusta is berthed on the Town Dock. I highly recommend Mitchell Park Marina.

Mitchell Park Marina, its staff and location could not have been more perfect… Dockmaster Steve was very accommodating to we first-timers to Greenport and we will definitely be back. Of particular note are the beautifully maintained docks. The gorgeous park sports a lovely green lawn, a carousel, a camera obscura and live music and dancing on Monday nights. Greenport itself has many nice restaurants, a cheese shop, IGA grocery store, Greenport Wine & Liquors (free delivery) and fresh fish market Anker among other shops. Hoping for a return visit to Mitchell Park Marina on our way south.
Usually this marina is great, maybe just a bad weekend. -very friendly staff and great facilities -would not honor my request for a starboard tie slip request even though there were many available -changed my slip halfway through the weekend while I was out for a boat ride and didn’t notify me. Moved my dingy, power cord & hose without notifying me. Came back to slip and found another boat in slip and all my gear gone (I eventually found it after a few calls to dock staff) -dock staff generally not available or delayed helping with tie up

Did not stay long only 5 nights. Handy location for Greenport downtown and for getting into gardeners bay Couldn’t figure out a good place to park when loading up the boat. Am sure with more practice would figure out a system. Handy outdoor bar just west of marina
Great location for marina right in town close to restaurants, shops and provisioning. We were in slip A7 which was parallel to the dock where the ferries come in every few minutes. Most of the boats do not get the rolling we got because they were perpendicular to the pier and took the wakes on their stern, we just rolled. I recommend Mitchell Park, but ask not to be in that slip
Helpful staff, clean bathrooms, great location as you are in town, and very convenient to the LIRR.
Wi fi was not useable by the docks, otherwise everything was great. Dockhands were friendly and responsive.
We stayed for 2 days during the week (in the middle of a 9 day boat trip). This Marina is in a wonderful location right within the beautiful Mitchell Park in Greenport. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops, brewery, museums and lots more. There was a wonderful supermarket (IGA) only 2 blocks away where we were able to restock. As we left, we motored by the historic lighthouse. Everyone at the marina and in Greenport was also helpful and friendly.

The Marina is great with nice concrete docks and lots of Restaurant in walking distance. I deducted 2 stars because they have the worse WiFi of any Marina I have stayed lately. It appears the speed has been throttle to limit the use to e-mail. Trying to browse the web is painful! Also, the docks could use a little maintenance, lots of weed growing on the docks! In addition, would have liked to see all dock staff wear face masks on the docks, not just some of them!

Extremely inattentive dock hands. Was raining when I showed up so no one on hand. We docked hooked up yo power. When I went to check in , all wet btw, they were all hanging in the office.

We had a great experience at Mitchell Park Marina. The staff was courteous and helpful. It is central to everything in Greenport… and the carousel in the park helped keep our kids entertained while we tended to the boat. Hope to get back soon… Greenport is a special harbor town. -Michael

We were overcharged for Sunday night. Their web site said the charge was $2.50 per foot for Sundays, but we were charged $3.00/foot for Sunday, the same price as Saturday. I think the mistake was Dockwa's.

Location is so great. Tiny fairways for larger boats. Be careful if your over 40 feet. Overall a great value

The stay at this marina was excellent peaceful and relaxing it was my first time visiting and I will visit more frequently during next boating season. Claudio's was great and the atmosphere of the immediate town was very friendly the stores and shops were amazing, I recommend this marina for any boater who just want to kick back and relax or mingle, very mature quiet place
Great marina, great dock hands. Only issue is the Shelter Island Ferry. The wave attenuators at Mitchell Park just do not work well and you rock from 5:30 AM to midnight. But still a five for location.
Marina was fine but facilities could be brightened and updated. Neighbors were very load and partying way too late. There are no marina personnel on duty after 8:00 pm for such problems. Loud voices and offensive music were not acceptable for a family environment. When staff was present, they were attentive to the problem in a timely manner. Problem is with after hour complsints.
I was happy but the docks and grounds are looking old and not kept up enough. The electric posts need cleaning or painting and the concrete surface could use a good power washing.

Hi we’ve been coming here for years the dock staff is extremely helpful we had difficulty with the WiFi strength TVs took long time to connect and when they did it wouldn’t stay connected Also the women’s shower heads are horrible
Another great stay ay Mitchell Park Marina. Good docks and clean facilities. The only wish is for a locked gate onto the docks. Twice we had non boater lookers walk all the way out on our dock. No problems but still uninvited. Great access to town.

Very nice, clean, well maintained marina. BUT...this Marina is immediately beside the car ferries that run constantly, day and night. We rocked the whole time because the ferries rush in and out of the port! And the Greenport train stop is beside the car ferries and honks it’s loud horn! Sterling basin may be a better option next time.
We enjoyed our stay at the Mitchell Park Marina, the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The two complaints were that the WIFI was weak and I would have liked the bathrooms monitored more frequently for cleanliness. Greenport is a beautiful town and we will return and stay at Mitchell Park Marina

The marina was very nice. Wide, stable docks, nice people, and competent and attentive staff. Wifi was working well for us, so thats a bonus as well! The close proximity to the ferry is a bit noisy at times, as is the local train, which insists on blasting it's horn around 11pm. But, thats the nature of the location. The marina itself was easy to access and in a great location. I had to curtail my trip and they were very accomodating to our requests, allowing us a refund for our unused portion of the stay. The only negative was the lack of clarity regarding our tender. We travel with a 16' Whaler, and normally, we are allowed to keep it tied off our boat, or on a dinghy dock. Apparently this isn't the case here, and, after speaking to the staff about it, i had to pay separately for my tender.
Marina is beautiful and in the middle of everything in Greenport. Docks in great shape and bathrooms clean. Pump out did not work properly and was the only blemish on an otherwise beautiful stay.
I can’t understand why the dock hands aren’t wearing masks. Most of the boaters there we’re also paying no attention to social distancing or mask wearing. A bunch of people who were obviously cruising together, hadnchairs all side-by-side on the dock day and night like a big party. Clueless. Strongly suggest that the management at Mitchell Park, a city run facility, should do much more to make sure CDC recommended guidelines are being followed. Don’t be part of the problem.
Stayed over for a cpl of nights bookending TS Isais. Marina gave everyone there double wide slips so we would have placenta of room. The wave arrester wall served very well, and it remained quite comfortable in all but the peak of the winds
Nice marina. Bathrooms too far. We like to be a bit closer. No electricity when we arrived but staff were very nice and attentive. Electrician was very prompt.
Last visit was about 5 years ago. The place has gotten really run down. Weeds growing on the docks, the park needs to be swept and cleaned. The showers/toilets need total remodeling. Better air ventilation. Put the money back into the facility. The dock hands as usual were excellent.

One or two of the Shelter Island ferry captains, operate way too fast when coming into dock. Most of the captains slow down and there is no wake into the Mitchell Park Marina. One or two ferry captains come in "Hot" and cause a two foot wake that washes into the marina. Really a shame, cause the other ferry captains prove it can be done with no wake.
Great location but wish access was easier with floating dock instead of sea wall and controlled access with a gate as we got boarded by general public several times. .
Only a 4 because of the constant ferry traffic and dogs on other boats barking. But we knew about the ferry traffic. This is a very good stop because anything you may need is only a short walk from the Marina. IGA, Wine store, Prestons , Quick Mart, several dining choices. Facilities are in good condition also.
Great location steps from downtown. Very accommodating as we asked for a specific slip location. The electric connector was missing/broken so were given an extension to reach another working connector. They ran out of ice, but we found ice across the street at a market. The rest rooms, although clean, are quite dated. Dockhands were very helpful and courteous.
Poor dockhand service Check out was 11 and 11:04 I had almost all of my dock lines off except 2 and dockhand comes over to tell Me checkout is 11. It was blowing hard and dockhand did not offer to help with lines. I had to ask for assistance. It was obvious I was leaving momentarily.
Can’t beat this location. And the quality of the docks is good. Steady concrete docks. Bathrooms aren’t great, clear this is a municipal marina. Prices are good though. Highly recommend this marina. Call Dans Bikes and he’ll drop bikes right to the marina for $25/day

It's fairly bumpy at the docks during the day but you can't beat the Downtown location....everyone was super friendly and helpful. We'll be back again once Covid-19 goes away!!
Spent 2 nights Memorial Day weekend. Very organized helpful staff. Right in town for convenience. Separate restrooms and showers for boaters. Great public marina. After an 8 day trip our last stop was Mitchell's before heading home even though we were here just a few weeks ago. Have such a good time here we asked to stay an extra day and even though it necessitated some juggling of reservations in the office we were accommodated. Great that the pump out boat is located here for easy scheduling also .
They really need to change the shower heads in the restrooms - they don't even get you wet as they are so old. Other than that - we had another great stay!

Fast and courteous dockhand, Jake, was right there when we pulled in. Tied us up and stayed to help hook up shore power. Floating docks are in excellent condition.
First time staying here by water (previous visits to others staying here). Very good communication about our stay details, clean bathrooms, and attentive dock staff. And of course Greenport is a great little town to eat or stroll. All the food places had takeout and seemed to be doing proper social distancing.
Mitchell Park Marina is a convenient place to stay in Greenport, NY. You are right in the middle of town and lots of activities. The park and lots of restaurants are all around you. We were next to a large pier with a replica of the Santa Maria and a retired NY Fire Boat. The ferry to Shelter Island was on the other side of us. You can hear the music from the restaurants and bars as well as the people in the park. It did quiet down at night for peaceful sleeping. The marina is well protected from the waves of the ferries and other boat traffic. I only have it 3 stars was because of lack of staff and communication. We were only given the codes for the bathrooms and Wi-Fi shortly before we were leaving the next morning. This was after 2 phone calls and an email. Another couple who came in shortly after us had the same problem plus there was no one on duty to help them dock.

Stayed 2 nights mid week in Sept. After Labor day there are no dock hands on duty but this was not a problem as slip was very easy approach. Only 5 other boats in the marina. Everything was in good condition and worked well. Very stable floating concrete docks.
As always, nice cement docks but full of seagull poop. They need to do something about that. Otherwise excellent marina in the heart of town.
We always enjoy our stay at Mitchell Park Marina. The staff was great and worked hard getting the boats docked on the windy weekend. The bathrooms could have been a little Cleaner. Also this year kids were hanging around the bathrooms at night throwing rocks but didn't seem to be causing any other trouble. Overall we had a great weekend. Enjoy Greenport.
This is a great marina in season, but was quite disappointing at this time. There was no staff there during our stay. No dockhands made things difficult for us, since my wife is partially handicapped and can no longer jump off the boat to tie us up. The dock was SO covered with bird droppings, you could not possibly walk to land without getting it all over your shoes. We love Mitchel Park Marina and will go back, just not off season.

This is one of the best municipal marinas. Well maintained facility that is right in the middle of town. There are multiple restaurants, shopping, a brewery, movie theater, ferry to Shelter Island, LIRR and a nice park all within walking distance. It is one of the most reasonably priced marinas in the Northeast. Dockhands were at the ready and knew what they were doing. We will go back every year.

Choose Mitchell’s for location. Arrived in pouring rain, strong gusty cross winds & poor visibility. Hailed marina just outside the entrance for slip assignment. Backed into slip— no dockhands in sight. Someone from nearby boat came out to assist. Inquired at office about lack of help—was told that dock hands left(minutes after my call) because weather was bad. I suggested that help is most needed then! Received mild electrical shock from assigned pedestal breaker so switched to adjacent outlets (notified office of potential electric problems but no one checked it out). Good WiFi, adequate heads. Claudio’s Restaurant was closed due to bad weather days before Labor Day Weekend! Very good meal at Anker Restaurant.

We have stayed here before, and I can say these guys have definitely stepped up their game. They emailed us our slip assignment and tie up requirements before we ever arrived. The dock hand we had was very helpful and efficient. Overall a very pleasant experience.
The marina is well situated in town, very clean, and well ran by very friendly and professional staff. We have stayed many a time at this marina, although never left a review. However after reading the most recent review we feel we should leave a review. My wife and I were docked on A dock when the sailboat (who left the last review on 7/31/19) was attempting to dock. It was obvious the owner wasnt proficient in docking his own boat, and also had over an hour to check in before the office closed at 8pm to get his codes and wifi password. The marina is well run and has high quality floating docks. Perhaps future training is in order for that boater to learn how to handle his vessel. We love this marina. Please keep up the good work.. The “boaters only shower and restroom was open to a private party that lasted many hours. Restroom was a mess. Otherwise staff was very friendly and helpful. Greenport is a fun town.

We really enjoy Mitchell Park. A great place for everyone. Walking distance to shopping, food, cocktails, movie theater and so much more. Pet friendly environment as well. We live locally, but find it the best place for a “staycation”.
Dock hands could use some training and be a little friendlier, the showers are too far from the floating docs and too small. There is no rubber on the fingers to protect the boat as most marinas do. Greenport is still a so-so port as compared to other locations.
Location, location, location! This was our first time at the marina, and certainly will not be the last. Everyone that works at this marina is extremely helpful and polite. The private restrooms/showers are dated, but kept very clean. Like I said you can not beat he location, the marina is conveniently located to everything. I've read a few people complain about the boats rocking due to ferry traffic. I own a 36ft express cruiser and did not feel the excessive rocking that some people complained about. If the rocking of a boat bothers you, don't be a boater!

Avoid this place on weekends if you want a good nights sleep. Noise from Claudio’s is unbearable. Otherwise a good location right in town, near grocery and restaurants.
This was first time stay in the marina and we were extremely pleased. One of the nice gesture was that the marina sends you your slip assignment in advance which took all the stress out of entering the marina. The facilities are in great shape, docks, bathroom and showers. So convenient to town and restaurants and the bike ride on RT 25 was really nice because of the dedicated bike lane. We will definitely return again.
This is our 3rd time staying at Mitchell Park. Awesome location and facilities. Staff is very friendly and willing to lend a hand.
Booking was easy through Dockwa. We radioed in as we approached the marina and got a quick response. We received detailed instructions about the location of our slip and two dock hands we waiting to help. The floating concrete finger docks are very stable. We checked in at the office and got our info packet with details about the town, etc. My only issue was with their pump out boat which was not working at the time. We could have used their self-serve pump out station on the outside dock.
Stayed 2 days in October. Easy reservation. Good staff. Poor markings on power stations,many not working. Nice quiet marina near all downtown.
This was a quickly planned trip and the staff got us in on short notice. Very helpful when we arrived. This might be the nicest spot to spend a couple nights in Greenport. We will be back!
Very convenient location and reasonable price. Bathrooms are a bit of a walk from some of the slips.
Easy docking, dock hands were readily available and very helpful. Great, fun location close and within walking distance of everything including, shops, shopping, dining and more. Bathrooms could use some tending to, wifi was not good and electric and cable connections were only so, so. Not a big deal though. We will be back. Thank youo
The facility is great and well managed. Staff helpful. Would request/suggest repairs and upgrades to public toilets (broken and in dis-repair) and enlarging the shower areas. If nothing else increase the ventilation. The showers are woefully small, hot, damp and sticky with a full marina and many users. Maybe renting portable units when a known event assures a full marina.
The bathrooms were completely out of toilet paper by Sunday morning. Otherwise a good stay.
Staff did a great job accommodating my trimaran. Highly recommend.
No dockhands and no wifi. Information should have been provided at reservation. We would have made other arrangements. Never going back.
Great marina, I pulled in after working hours and was helped by the friendly boaters staying in the marina. The marina sent me an email confirmation with a welcome package that included all the things to do in Greenport, however what I would have liked was the code to the "bathroom" and internet password, that would have been the 5th star.
I only wish that those of us coming for the rendezvous were able to be better grouped together. We were unnecessarily spread out even on the same finger pier, though I understand that if the weather had been better the marina might have been more full. Either way, it would have enhanced the experience and been of little inconvenience for the marina crew and management. Otherwise, its a great facility I've enjoyed many times.

Enjoyed our stay at Mitchell Park Marina! Great destination or stopping off point for those going or coming from New England. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Marina itself very nice. The Marina is right in the heart of town with easy access to night life, restaurants, shopping, markets etc! It's a quick dinghy ride to Sunset Beach on Shelter Island. The Fireboat Museum is right next to the Marina and we were treated to Two Water Displays the weekend we were there! Grandkids loved the Carousel! Bathrooms and showers are a bit of a hike but that's not really a big deal! Free wifi a plus! We will be back!
Nice docks, great location. Service was fine. The WiFi was unusable, however, and the gold chain, vroom, vroom, pay-attention-to-my-boat-while-I-dock-at-Claudios crowd would rock the marina during the noon to 2PM hours. At night it was fine. Great central location to bike or walk around from.
Always a pleasure to stay here. The staff is on point tending ropes and are very professional. Definately comming back next year.
We had no help with docking but otherwise staff was pleasant. Seem to be a party atmosphere on the docks so a little noisy. Restaurants and stores are all close by including an IGA

Docks are great, staff is helpful. But....bathrooms were not clean and stocked.
I was charged for an extra day when I wasn’t there. Total F-up. I left at 0900 after two days. You then charged me for a third. I was back home that day. Thanks for nothing.
Nice facility and nice people. Greenport is good for one day but not much more. Aldo has the best coffee in town.
The location to town and large cement floating docks are always exceptional. This year the dock help was poorly trained and truly dangerous on the windy day we came it. One on the female dock crew injured her wrist seriously from what appeared to be very poor training. No supervision or skilled over site evident in many dockings watched.
Great facility if you are planning a trip to Greenport.

Marina was great - Dock hands were very helpful. Easy access to town. 2 suggestions - air condition the bathrooms & set it up so the Marina is a priority on the pumpout boat list. We asked for a pump out and were told we have to call the office and make a reservation. We were leaving and couldn't wait. we didn't know we needed a reservation because all the pumpouts on Barnegat Bay are not thru reservations.
Friendly attentive dock hands and nice floating concrete docks. The price is great for the east end of Long Island, but is higher for the quality of the facilities than we're used to up in the Sound. Heads and showers cleaner than a public toilet, but dirtier and more industrial than most other marinas I've been to. Tremendously convenient, but has the noise of downtown until things quiet down later in the evening.
The Park is such a nice place and great to be so close to town. More air circulation or fans in the bathrooms would be nice.
Slight mix up on size of dock we were assigned to when we first arrived, but was corrected immediately. Staff as always very professional and pleasant. Brought five other boats with me for this year's visit and all were very pleased with facilities and staff. Ed O'Brien O'TUG

Overall a good stay. Great friends and weather are always a good thing! Docks and staff are always good at Mitchell's, but don't count on wifi. We were there 3 days and we, and all of our neighbors on "A" dock were unable to connect on any of our devices. After calling we were told it was fixed, but it was not. Very inconvenient! PS Mitchell's, your after hours phone message says your closed for the season and checking mail on a weekly basis. Really?
This is our favorite transient marina (we visit from Connecticut.) There are always friendly and competent dock hands to assist. The restrooms are very well maintained. The concrete floating docks are very stable. And we can’t say enough about the location. There are numerous excellent restaurants, a fantastic IGA grocery store, a good drug store, a good marine supply store, a movie theater (in season), a hotel and inns, live shows for the community and transients in season, numerous retail shops — all within 200 yards walking distance! We don’t know of any place thus convenient for transients We stayed three weeks on a boat in Cap Sante Boat Haven in Annacortes, WA for three weeks in 2011. Cap Sante is one of the best municiple marinas in the country. In our opinion, Mitchell Park is at least as good.
Always love staying at Mitchell Marina. Dockhands and office staff are friendly, responsive and professional. Everything is well-maintained. The marina is right in town with access to so many different kinds of bars, restaurants and stores. Really a great spot!
Great location and great staff, though they close at 5:00pm and the marina becomes a "free-for-all" after that. Facilities are nice, but it's a long walk from your slip to the head/showers.

Great location, nice staff horrible service. I was docked at this marina, I left my boat there a few days, came back and another boater told me while they were docking a sailboat next to me it struck my boat. Spoke to the dockmaster and she confirmed it, told me one of the dockhands witnessed it and took pics and that they would send them to me. Now they only acknowledge that it happened, but nobody saw it happen, they won't give me any employee names and there are no pics. They did not make any report of the incident, all they gave me was the name of the boat that struck me and his contact info. My insurance company needs verification that I was not at fault and this marina is not helpful. Stay at your own risk. Not to mention there were a ton of open slips, not sure why they decided to put another boat right next to me.
Please do not go to this marina. First of all they moved my boat and put a 7 foot scratch in it. The dock hands have no idea how to handle boats not to mention there are no rub rails on their docks. Then after filling out the incident report with the manager and being assured they would have their insurance pay for it I have been getting the run around for almost a month. I was given the village administrators name (Paul Pallas), email and phone number I made contact with him and he refused to help me and also refused to give me the insurance companies name and information. Keep in mind this marina is run by the village of Greenport. Do yourselves a favor and go to one of the Brewers yards near by you will have a much better experience.
Great location although tough to dock with the ferry wake coming towards the marina constantly. The bathrooms are disgusting especially the shower area. I won't return just because of the bathrooms but if you use your own shower on your boat then it's a great place to stay. Dock and office people are very helpful
Staff was nice. A little green but Good. Had a problem with the shore power and they worked diligently untill it was fixed.
Great location right down within walking distance to everything, shops restaurants ice cream carousel and the fire boat and Maritime Museum
Although the marina does not offer a lot in the way of amenities, it is a municipal facitlity and in a fantastic location. I have never had any trouble getting a slip for overnight or for a few hours visit. The grounds are neat and clean. The heads are secure and reasonably clean. The staff is young but competent.

Beautiful stay at the Marina, bathrooms were disappointing not really tidy & clean. The Staff are amazing, very helpful and sweet. But it did take us a day to figure out where the trash went! We could see & hear the live band by the carousel, which was a bonus.
Fine marina with floating, concrete docks, wide fairways, and a location right in the center of Greenport Village so it's convenient for dining, shopping, and provisioning. The marina provides no service or fuel but that's available right around the corner in Stirling Harbor at one of the two Brewers locations.
