About
Lake Havasu Marina, located on the Island off of McCulloch Boulevard, features 1,000 wet slips and floating docks available to long-term tenants and transient boaters. Please be advised that reservations for rental boats are strictly prohibited — slip reservations are only available to the actual owner of the boat. Photo ID and current registration is required to check-in at the marina office in-person during business hours. There is no exception to this policy.
In addition to long-term and transient dockage, Lake Havasu Marina also offers a wide array of state-of-the-art facilities, amenities, and services, some of which include:

- Fuel Dock: Lake Havasu Marina offers only Chevron fuel from high speed pumps, and the finest related oil products through our ships store. Located on the launch ramp side of the Marina, our fuel dock is an easy to use fixed dock with 10 dispensers and can accommodate most vessels. Fuel is available seven days a week, from 8am to dusk.
- Ship Store: Located inside our dockside building at the fuel dock, the Ships Store carries an array of merchandise - from bait and first aid supplies to snacks, cold drinks and sportswear.
- Full Customer Service.....just ask and we will do our best to make it happen!
Our office is located immediately inside the entrance to the store and provides a comfortable place to discuss your slip leasing needs with our highly trained staff. This area also offers easy access to fuel dock. Stop in for a cup of coffee and a friendly chat any day!

F-38 slip the dock is very flimsy old looking and needs to be replaced.

Love this Marina, clean and well maintained. There just isn’t a user friendly place like this and love the people who work here. Thank you. The office ladies are some of the most friendly people I’ve ever come across when dealing with Lakes, Marinas, etc…. The guys at the main gate treat us amazing, always say hi to my kids and even give my dog a milk bone when we gone through. There just isn’t a better spot.

The staff is great. If I had an issue they were Johnny on the sot with a solution. I have been coming to the marina off and on for over 15 years. It is a great place to keep my boat just five minutes to get to the main lake. The facilities are well maintained.
We book a slip here every time we go to Havasu. Ladies at the desk, and gentleman at the entrance are always very friendly as long as guests are following and respecting the rules. Will rent a slip again soon, thanks! 11/25/23

Great service in the office. Marina slips need maintenance -- bumpers, unstable pier extensions, etc. NO Handicapped access to slips when towing an empty trailer.
Slip and dock was ok, however they have some surface weeds that looked like it made it a swamp. Entire slip surface was covered. Some random electrical cord was down over the side in the water.
I have stayed at the marina several times over the past years. This last stay has been the worst I have seen. I understand and can see lots of new updates and construction with the new docks however the amount of sludge floating on the water is ridiculous and not good for the boat motor. I took several photographs to show exactly what we drove through and what went in the motor and I pulled out after we pulled out.
First time at this marina. Easy to launch and fuel dock at launch ramp. Many gas pumps with three grades of fuel. Docks are marked well and plenty of room to maneuver. I will stay again.
Been using the Havasu Marina for years. The staff are great everyone friendly and helpful. I’d like to write a special commendation for Marianne she is great to work with and she is very helpful.

All was good, however, it is extremely difficult to see the slip numbers at night even with a flashlight. It would help if the numbers could be placed at the end of the slip closer to the water so we could see them.
Lake Havasu Marina is great. They have a very organized launch ramp, plenty of parking, a large wipe down area, their docks are clean, and a security guard at the front of the entrance.
Could have maybe used a push cart to get everything down to the boat each day. Overall, a wonderful experience. Staff was very nice and willing to help with any questions.

The marina was FULL of weeds........It was really bad and we have never seen it like this. We had to stop every time we got into the no wake to clear the weeds from the prop

The dock and slips are in good shape. It would be good if the slips had water to them. The plant growth around the dock and slips was a bit out of control, manageable, but if one had a jet boat or a JetSki, those boats were having some issues with ingesting the plant growth.

No courtesy docks by London Bridge. No timely way to reserve a slip the day of. Guess they don’t want people showing up in boats to spend money at the shops.

Great place! The only thing I found a bit difficult was launching then having to go check in on the slip. In the heat, that took some effort. But the Marina is nice, 7 lanes to launch & retrieve. Everyone was kind and understanding (because I'm a newb at boating). Was a wonderful weekend. Little pricey for the launch, should be cheaper for those with a slip reservation, like a package.

Harbor is very protected from waves and wind so I sleep good at night. Docs are newer for slips but the docks between the aisles are very old and sagging. Narrow for 28’ boat to turn and dock in a breeze but doable. Bathrooms could get some love too, pretty gross.

I can’t say enough about the personnel who operate and work at Lake Havasu Marina. I came to Lake Havasu from Wyoming without a boat reservation and Maryann (awesome lady) was wonderful to work with and found a slip for me. I would definitely recommend Lake Havasu Marina over any others, as they are centrally located to London-bridge with easy access to the lake either going north or south. Job well done. I will definitely be back to Lake Havasu and Lake Havasu Marina will be my only choice.

our day began on Friday morning, April 28! we were greeted and welcomed back by not one but 4 smiling faces. Checking in was a breeze. this allowed extra time to catch up with Marianne and the other friendly faces. our dock was clean and and no hassles. Ee love the service and cant wait for our next trip to Havasu. Yes, we are scheduled to go back to the Marina as well #Lovethisplace!

New docks, clean water, the store has everything you would need for a day on the lake. Best thing about this Marina is the friendly staff and how easy they make it to rent a slip. The Marina has easy in and out with plenty of room to maneuver your boat on the water. Easy car parking for long term rentals with short access to slips, the launch ramps are wide with long approaches so small and large boats have fast launches. Thanks for a great stay.
What a great marina! We stayed with them for 7 days, even though they are a very busy marina, everything is clean and in good repair, great boat launch, easy fuel dock and pump out, the staff always went the extra mile to accommodate. I highly recommend this marina to anyone visiting the Havasu area.

The ladies at checkin were awesome and nice. My request was accommodated due to my disability. I gave a 3 star rating due to the grumpy old man at the gate. Unpleasant and rude to us. Also, why do I have to pay $20 for a day pass just to check in into my slip? As soon as I check in I get a 3 day pass that allows me access to the place. Kind of a rip off situation that they charge $20 just to get my pass.

Love this marina!! I've been going here for years. Large launch ramp and wipe down area. Plenty of parking and secure long term trailer parking. Well maintained, 24 Hr gate and security and easy access to fuel dock. They have a little marina store at the fuel dock for those items you forgot and most important they sell ice. Helpful friendly staff.

I received the best service from the Lake Havasu Marina staff. Staff is friendly and extremely efficient. The marina is accommodating to ADA needs and has adequate parking.
Always helpful and friendly. The store is nicely stocked and the gas prices are reasonable. The rubber around the docks is falling off and does need some repair. It would also be nice to have access to water near the slips. Mary-Ann is awesome and always greets us with a smile.
Good customer service though our slip was way back on N was not told there was a back parking lot for easier access. was out if ice on Friday qt the store. But the overall marina is in good condition and well maintained.

We have been using the marina each summer for the last 15 years. We avoid weekend launches because we are there to go boating not hang out with a crowd. Service this past trip was great. The "B" dock was in great condition. Thank you, Rodney Johnson
I was in f31 and the one side of the dock is actually pretty dangerous you really need to take a look at it. Other than that it was good.
We had our boat at marina for 8 days with no issues. From check in the staff was absolutely amazing. Parking access was easy! Best $$ we spent for ease, and time saved not having to trailer boat everyday!. Will absolutely not think twice when we come back to Lake Havasu about slipping our boat here.

The check in process was super easy and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The marina was good sized not many people putting their boats in the water at the time of our arrival. The slip we reserved was plenty big and well maintained. We liked that you saw security measures in place so we felt secure leaving a few items in the boat. It is sure nice just leaving the boat in a slip for a few days and not have to pull it out each day.

It was great until the end of March. I went down to the marina to sign up for April, which I usually do. However, I was told that all the spots were full for April and I needed to get my boat out asap. My wife called the marina the next day and we did get a spot for April (same one) I guess I don't understand why I can't book a spot from November through April. I get summer rates go into effect on April 1, but there should be some way to work that out. Thanks for listening!

Very clean and nice staff in the Marina office. I’m new to this marina, I brought my boat down for vacation and paid $180.00 for a slip but was still charged a launch fee of $20.00 at the front gate which I believe should be included when you rent a slip. So I was taken back a bit to the point I asked the ladies in the office if this was right or the guy at the front gate had a “side hustle “ It’s not the money but the principal of being charged to basically store your boat in a slip you already rented. I guess I equate it to renting a parking stall for my car but being charged at the entrance to the parking garage because I have to drive to my stall? Kinda weird. I would suggest it just be included in the initial fee for the slip.

We were given a slip that’s very, very far away from the marina store and the water there was covered with weeds. We’ve stayed here many times but this was the first time I was disappointed with the stay.

Docks are in excellent shape. Parking is very close. Best I've seen so far. Everyone is very helpful, and the store has very good customer service.
There was someone parked in my assigned slip 2 out of the 3 nights of my stay. I was given alternative places to tie up for the night but it was inconvenient to have to deal with it.
Everyone there was such a pleasure to work with! It is obvious that they love their jobs and care about the customer. The girls were so helpful and accommodating which made our trip! I also want to complement the entire staff (the gentlemen at the front registers in the store) for their friendly and caring attitudes. I definitely recommend this place!!
This Place is great! The Slips are great easy to dock. The launch ramp is a good angle for launching your boat. I have a 24 foot boat and had to back the truck into the water past my rear axle. But the Greatest thing about this place is the Staff, They are Helpful and Friendly.
From start to finish the process is simplistically easy and the marina has fantastic accommodations. The ladies are a joy to work with and made our registration fast. They were super friendly and you can tell they enjoy what they do, First time there and we felt like it was a family reunion! Looking forward to our next stay. It was great having a slip to come and go, but the marina needs to cut down all the grass that is growing in the boat slips. Our slip was terrible. We saw a person cutting the grass in the water in the main area coming out, but if we're renting these slips, they need to be better taken care of. Other than that, loved it. Great having 24 hour security!!!
We LOVED not having to battle the crowds at the marina each day.. it makes the day on the lake SO MUCH BETTER to know you can just put the boat in the soil and head back home!

We rent a slip at the marina most times while visiting Lake Havasu. We were assigned K-18 this time and was disappointed with the condition of the slip. There was a screw hanging out on the port side of the slip and the starboard side the whole walkway was so wobbly that balance was hard to maintain. I actually fell into the water Striking my arm in the boat in the next slip trying to get off The boat. We have stayed many times at the marina and not experienced the wobble to the degree that this side dock was. In addition, as you start down K dock there are a couple of boards that are either broken or bent and could cause a person to stumble or fall, they also need repairs.
Dockwa is extremely convenient and very accommodating to a person with a disability. I am very appreciative for their help. I will continue to use their services for future reservations.
I want to thank the people who make the decision on what slips the boats go. The last two stays my family has been able to stay in S slips. I can’t tell you great it is to park in those slips. It makes it easy on my family and friends to get in and out of the boat. Bringing all the kids and having to walk so far to put everything on the boat. Thank you again to the front office women who are so helpful and fun to talk to. Thank you again!

3 negatives if your renting a Dock here. 1. You are additionally charged to launch on TOP of paying for your dock fee. 2. You are charged to store your trailer. 3. No wheel barrows or carts to carry your heavy ice chests/necessities from the parking lot to your boat, which is a damn long hot walk with 0 shade anywhere.
I called to cancel a few days before my reservation due to I got sick with Covid 19. They wouldnt refund my money because its a holiday weekend. Excuse me I dont want to spread the disease. I have had every holiday for the last 23 years not missing once. Wow. I offered to provide the test showing positive but that was not good enough for them. I asked if they could give me a credit because i come 10 to 20 times a year but still no. They sold my slip to someone else on the wait list and still kept my money. Thats just wrong in any ones eyes.

The easiest And most hassle free time we have EVER had getting a slip at this Marina. Believe me I was dreading the process because we had come straight from Oregon Where we purchased our boat. The gal who checked me in was pleasant and not the grumpy ole man

Giving it 3 stars only because I felt nickel and dimes over the fees and the doc was very wobbly on the ends. The staff was great the slip was perfect and we had a wonderful time. Would prefer an upfront fee for everything. Having to pay $20 to come in and pay you again was ridiculous.

Awesome. Super easy in and out. Gets busy but great location for your boat. Kinda far walk to bridge by land, like a mile. We just left a truck there and used to transport.

The slip that was assigned to us was too small and damaged both sides of boat as we tried to park boat end of first day. Marina was closed by this time so we found assistance with on site employee and he was able to find us a different slip to use for our stay. Made for a very frustrating first night after chasing someone down for 45 minutes and also damaging boat. The new space was perfect and rest of stay was great but that definitely put a damper on entire trip.
Wonderful location & very helpful staff! We had to have our boat jumped, and they were happy to help. Rented a boat slip for 3 days and it was very easy to get in and out. There was much more available at the Marina store than I'd have imagined! Gas, grub, and great people!

We’ve used this marina in lake Havasu consistently for years. We vacation in the summer with our 18 ft. Chaparral. This marina is very centrally located to a variety of accommodations. The fees are much lower than staying at the London Bridge Resort and paying their dock fees. Price and location are very important and this marina wins both of these categories! The staff are professional and friendly which is like icing on the cake! My husband is also very particular with our boat and he likes the quality and conditions of the boat slip. We can leave our boat and not worry! Thank you and hope to be back again this summer! 💦

The ladies at the office are AMAZING! They were so helpful and even helped with booking future dates for us. The guys around the docks were just as amazing. They watched out for our kids to make sure they were safe when they didn’t see us around. Couldn’t have been more pleased with my first time leaving both my boats in the docks for the week.

I didn’t stay because they never got back to me! No response on a Saturday afternoon?? I have also experienced little to no customer service in the past. I guess when you are the only marina in town, you can have poor customer service! Not pleased in the least!
Could of had a better slip. We like to park in a two sided slip. We were on the very end. Not as convenient. But if that was all available it works too. There were many slips empty that didn’t have boats in them as we saw on the way to where we had to park. Oh well! We still enjoy the Lake Havasu Marina and are very great full to the workers that make the marina run everyday. Thank you
I visited during the Thanksgiving holidays and the offices were closed, The folks upfront in the entrance booth were extremely friendly and set me up real quick with my Slip and instructions. This was my first visit to Havasu. Having a slip here made my trip so much more convenient so that I did not have to haul the trailer and boat all over my trips in town. I recommend this Marina.
I love when they place me in the D and E docks. So much room to back my pontoon out of the slip compared to K and L. Thank you for letting us stay in the D dock.

Was dissatisfied with the time in getting the paperwork and not being able to get the slip till noon. The slip was at the far back of the marina and had to walk to pick up our car n trailer. Just too far for us older people
Most everything went smooth and was fine, however I had two issues to discuss. First, I feel that when you pay for a slip, you should be able to use the launch ramp free of charge. Charging to use the ramp on top of the slip fee should be re-evaluated. I understand the trailer storage fee because that makes sense... The launch ramp fee for slip renters does not. Secondly, we were placed at the west end of the marina and there was a substantial amount of algae and goo in all of the slips and waterways. It was pretty gross. It didn't really affect the boat, but the thought of falling in was pretty unnerving,

Worst costumer service I’ve ever experienced.. I would not recommend staying with them unless you want to be called a liar, yelled at and the glass slammed in your face. I’ve been a customer of theirs since 07. Who ever is working in the office now are the most miserable employees I’ve ever met that take pleasure in being rude to their customers
Was so nice to be able to moor the boat..convenient, ppl were nice..but paying the additional 10 for 1st day, we brought the boat there, was a surprise. Overall. We had a great time on the water with out of town friends. Made it so much more enjoyable..Thx

I don't understand why my hull number wasn’t asked for when I made my reservation. I don’t know why there isn’t multiple hull numbers per slip. I have 2 waverunners but the paperwork only showed 1 watercraft. Marina was full of weeds. I sucked up and overheated my engine going to the slip each day.

The dock was well lit and clean. I think the rental slips could use a little upkeep. some of the boards were missing and replaced with towels.
It’s always such a pleasure to keep our boat at the marina. This trip, however, we had our Lily pad stolen from our boat. It was secure and strapped down. The security tower was directly over us as we were in slip 61 Dock A. Just frustrating. The marina should have cameras and theft deterrent even though they are not responsible for items stolen.

We were there Sunday to Thursday and check in was very quick and easy, and we got a slip close to the parking lot so very easy to access with gear. The docks are very clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

Had an advance paid in full reservation. Boat would not start due to mechanical issues. Marina would not provide refund or future credit for three days of dock fees. $93 lost.
Easy check in. Good spot. No security in the remote parking g area and had 22 gallons of gas siphoned from my vehicle. Filled prior to launching and ran out of fuel. Tow truck operator informed me of minor theft issues and that this was not totally uncommon.

Having a slip is so much better than launching your boat every day. The isles and number were easily visible.
We booked almost two months in advanced and was given a side tie dock right on the main drag of everyone coming and going. My daughter booked a week before and received a regular dock. When asked if we could move we were told no. Very disappointed that we booked early and got the worse dock. Plus the docks were really run down and the trash at the marina was overflowing and not picked up for a couple of days. Been coming here for 30 years and never had such a bad dock.

Huge facility, yet the customer service gives you the impression of a family run business. Even with all of the COVID procedures in place, they have enough staff working to keep the lines short, the store stocked and the facilities clean.

Very nice marina and fantastic service all around. At the end of my stay I decided I would like to add an additional day for my slip rental and the staff made it a very painless experience.
Ridicules that you have to pay $20 to get passed the gate to check in at the store to get the boat slip. Marina double booked my slip. So when I came off the lake, 3 nights in a row, I had another boat in my slip. Talked to “security” at the gate and at the light house, and nothing got done. Very unorganized and no one takes responsibility or positive action.
First time using this marina as we typically stay at Nautical Resort. It was great having ample parking and quick access to the boat and slip. We came in later at night one evening and the lighting was great for navigating as well. Will be back again in a month!

Long lines to get into the marina. They don't have a separate entrance for the people renting the slips. I had stuff stolen from my boat. It's hard to find your slip. The numbers are hard to see. Other then that the slips are in good condition.

Very difficult to find your slip, especially at night. Signage is very hard to follow, letters and numbers are hard to view. When we did find it, somebody had already put their boat there.
The people running the office at the marina are ALWAYS very nice and helpful. However, the per night price of the slip at $43 is way to high. The facilities are nice but not great.

Slip I rented (H-13) had some nails/screws sticking out from the rubber rub rails that could damage side of boat if you scraped up against them.

Too complicated! Wasn't able to use the slip for a family shared boat because the registration is in another family members name. Went to check in for the slip after hours and they couldn't find my reservation. Finally the following day I was able to get my assigned slip for jet skis that are in my name. Well, the slip assigned, was being occupied by another vessel. Therefor, we paid for 4 nights an got to use the slip for 2 nights. NO REFUND, CREDIT OR EVEN AN APOLOGY. There has got to be a better way!
Cannot wait to get a permanent spot at the Marina. Wonderful experience. So much easier for my husband who is a 100% disabled Vietnam combat veteran.

Slips are very narrow; it was difficult for us to get our pontoon in the slip (but we managed without hurting anyone or anything LOL). Frustrated that we couldn't get in to the marina on Saturday without waiting in a line (45 minutes). Asked Security why they weren't letting us in (if we had a pass) and he advised you don't have enough people. There wasn't anyone that could have taken 30 minutes to open the back gate to those of us with passes??? Otherwise, it was nice to have a slip for the weekend. Processing on line and at the store was easy !! Thanks again.

We did not get our slip. They didn't send us a slip assignment and were closed when we got off the water at 6PM on Sunday. We pulled out boat out of the water and did not use the slip. I sent them a message that I want my money back & I hope Dockwa will help me get a refund!

We have been Launching at Lake Havasu Marina for over 20 years. We had an overnight slip rental reservation for Sunday February 23, 2020. Early afternoon on Sunday the London Bridge was closed. We could not get to the marina with our boat in tow as there is no other access. We did not see any signs other than BRIDGE CLOSED and the police waving us off away from the bridge. We informed LH Marina and they said it is not their policy to refund slip rental fees. Lake Havasu Marina- Are you serious? Did you know the bridge was going to be closed? Could you have told us? The Lake Havasu Marina staff is always professional, and the facilities are are well maintained, especially considering how busy this location can be during peak times.

It was a great spot for docking our Pontoon boat. We asked for an end spot and they honored our request.

The right side of the dock sank! We told them Thursday and no one came to fix it. Then the monsoon comes and the dock slammed against the side of our boat and scratched the hell Out of it it! Unacceptable considering how much they charge for a boat slip!

Unfortunately, I booked my marina slip only a day in advance. I booked July 6-8 which was fine. Then I needed to book one more day as I thought I would need the slip til Tuesday. However, due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up leaving Monday. I went in Monday morning to the Marina to advise them of my change of plans and to see if I could get a credit for Tuesday. They said NO. and that you have to give a week's notice. How can you give a week's notice when you only booked it 3 days ago??? I think they should have refunded me for Tuesday..... oh well....

The docks and launch ramp are very nice, plenty of room and the facility was very clean.
Very expensive $31 per night PLUS $20 day use and launch fee. Huh, how do you use the dock that I just rented if you don't launch your boat???. Rent should included 1 launch and 1 pullout. F dock 20' side very dangerous. finger on dock was very tippy. Very hard for a senior citizen to walk around on to tie up the boat without falling in.

Great facilities and very helpful and friendly staff. So convenient on a busy weekend to just park your boat at the end of the day and walk away, instead of waiting to trailer and launch each day!! Highly recommended!!
I have been coming to Lake Havasu and using the Marina for a little over 35 years. The staff are the wonderful. Generally we have no problems. This past weekend we had booked and payed for a slip for 5 days. We came in 2 days late since the slip was prepaid it wasn't a problem. Upon check in I was given tags and paperwork designating G16 to be our slip. ( I believe the gal was new) anyway after finding another boat in our slip at 6 pm it was difficult to let someone know we weren't sure where to park our wave runners. It was a hassle!! I hope we wont encounter the problem again. thought you should know.
We slipped our motor sailboat for one month (mid-Dec. to mid-Jan.). Great experience! Excellent facilities, security, staff, and neighbors. Looking forward to next year! 🙌🏼😎⛵️🌅👍🏼 Thank you!

I am local and don't use the slips often but, I love that you can make reservations online now at DOCWA. Very user friendly and no more running to Marina to get a slip when I have company coming that can't back a trailer. lol I do use the Marina a lot and love the service.
I thought the slip was inexpensive. But I was in slip K21 and was too far from the parking lot. Had to carry a lot of supplies a long distance. I'm usually in the "A" section right across from the fuel dock. Other than that there is plenty of parking. Plenty of fuel and supplies.
Marianne at Lake Havasu Marina is a 10 star. She was always very helpful, kind and polite. I will always use this marina for my future stay because of Marianne!
Mary Ann and the manager were very accommodating to me and i really appreciate them working with me and my family. Everything was perfect. I will stay again

Love the convenience of putting the boat in a slip. However, our #M4 slip was in disrepair and the algae was thick. Other docks were completely clean. Considering the price to dock, it's reasonable to expect to see active algae control and slip maintenance occurring at all times. Never saw an employee on or near docks.

The staff was super nice and check in was quick and easy. The downfall is the docks are full of weeds. Not just a little, like overgrown gonna clog up my engine thick!

We had planned to only stay for 2 days but they had no problem extending our stay for 5 days, we were grateful for the accommodations. We will definitely be back!
The employees were super nice and we loved being able to rent a slip for our Sea Doos.
Put way back in marina at the end of row , little manueverability in windy conditions . When it was time to load boat up on Saturday marina parking was so full I could not get to my trailer. Totally blocked by other inconsiderate boaters. Security had to help me physically pull trailer out of slot and get hooked up. Not acceptable since we asked or told to not block any other trailers when we arrived.

We loved it. It's secure, well illuminated, organized, clean, and easy access to your boat. Definitely, we are going to stay there in the near future. At the registration, the lady was helpful and understood what we needed. She was polite and professional. Thank you for making our stay pleasant and uneventful.

Great place to store your boat overnight or for the week and or month very easy access in and out. I arrived early and was able to check in early the clerk was great she showed my an overview of the slips to make sure it was suitable for me, will defiantly store my boat there again
Docks are very nice, parking was great. This was our first time launching and docking in Lake Havasu. Check in was fast and the lady that helped us was super nice! She pointed out a free map of the lake and even walked outside to point out our slip, launch ramp and parking areas (trailer & truck). Overall great experience!
We arrived late (630pm) and didn't realize that we had to have checked in earlier in the day to get into the marina and get our slip #. This was super inconvenient and NOT communicated to us.
Very nice docks, very clean facility. Gas is to expensive but that's the only complaint. Everyone there is very kind and professional.
This was my first time using the Lake Havasu Marina to dock my boat for the weekend. Check-in was quick and easy, the staff was very friendly and the slip was easy to get in and out. I would definitely recommend this marina!
We had a seamless and enjoyable stay! From beginning to end, everyone was very helpful and friendly, from the guys at the gate to the ladies in the office. We reserved a slip for the Desert Storm Poker Run and even though it was an extraordinarily busy weekend - the marina team went above and beyond to make sure our reservation went smoothly!
Booked the slip for my Malibu 23 LSV in mid January for the 26th of March. Broke my ankle wakeboarding at the end of January. Wasn't sure if I was going to make it for the Havasu trip at all with 10 people. Kept my reservation. Decided I would be up for the trip but wasn't sure if I was going to bring the Malibu, based on inexperienced and new boaters in my group. Three people cancelled on March 24th and I found out that one of the other boaters that was going to make it was bringing a Four Winns Horizon 190. Also the wind report was 20 knots so wakeboarding and surfing wasn't going to happen. Didn't really want to captain the Malibu with inexperienced boaters, a recovering broken ankle, kids on the boat, high winds, and another boater bringing a boat that would accommodate our party. No brainer. Called and spoke with Mary Anne at Lake Havasu Marina on March 25th. I explained the full situation. She said that policy stated that I had to bring my boat and we could not use the slip for another boat due to inclemental weather. She was more than happy to cancel my reservation without refund because policy states cancellations must be made seven days in advance. However, if we made another paid reservation for the Four Winns after the cancellation for the slip I booked over two months prior, maybe, we would be able to use the slip after Re-Reserving and making another payment. That's if someone else wasn't trying to book a slip at the same time and submitted their information before us. I politely declined and bit my tongue through that frustration and told her to leave my reservation in place after multiple attempts on her part to get me to say that in effect, I was cancelling my reservation. She also stated that she would contact management who was not there and see if there was anything that could be done. Because during spring break apparently Lake Havasu Marina managers are not at the marina. She called me back a half hour later and said very nicely again that technically I was cancelling my reservation and we could try to Re-Reserve the slip through Dockwa on a first come fist serve basis and there was no guarantee we would get the slip I already paid for by paying for it again because the registered owner of a different boat accompanying our party was bringing his boat instead due to circumstances. But hey, that's policy. Again she urged me to cancel my reservation. When I wouldn't cancel my reservation she said that the reservation was made through Dockwa, therefore there was nothing she could do and that I could try to contact Dockwa to change my profile to the owner of the Four Winns Horizon 190. Disclaimer: I talked to Mary Anne in January because I did not understand the Lake Havasu Marina website page well enough to figure out that the only way to book a slip at Lake Havasu Marina was through Dockwa, otherwise, why wouldn't she have booked my reservation during that phone call in January instead of redirecting me to the Dockwa site on the Lake Havasu Marina page. I contacted Dockwa and spoke to Ryan on March 26th. He was very nice and stated that he would change the information in my Dockwa account to reflect the change in boat and registered owner. According to Lake Havasu Marina policy, the registered owner of the boat as well as registration have to be present, which they were. However it was ultimately up to Lake Havasu Marina and their policy. He even stated that the fees were already paid for the slip and that Dockwa didn't receive my money, Lake Havasu Marina did, and maybe they could credit the fees that were already paid, which he stated after talking to Mary Anne, they would not. Bottom line, I paid for the slip and it was up to Lake Havasu Marina to accommodate the changes due to circumstance. They did not. So I paid for a slip that I was not able to use due to Marina policy. I feel that the way it was handled by the Lake Havasu Marina, specifically Mary Anne, was very unaccommodating, and flat out insulting to stand by Marina "policy" to try and get me to cancel my reservation which seemed to be the ultimate goal, and second best scenario for them to get my party to pay for the same slip twice. It's not about the money, we are boaters, an overnight mooring fee is nothing, it's the principal. My experience was price gouging, Mary Anne stated that they were fully booked in our conversation on the 25th when I was repeatedly pushed by her to say that technically I was cancelling my reservation, which I found very disrespectful, ethically poor, and overall disappointing based on an unbending policy. Thanks for nothing but a lot of wasted time and a very small amount of money which is more important to Lake Havasu Marina and their unavailable management staff than business ethics, their customers, fairness, building good rapport or reputation.
