This was our first time staying at Belhaven. We have a 42-foot Sabre and are heading south for the winter from RI. We absolutely loved this marina. The owners are so nice, helpful and available. The complimentary golf cart was so helpful. It allowed us to restock some of our groceries. The showers/bathrooms are meticulously clean. The marina grounds are well kept. The ship store is great and there is a double decker patio to sit out on. Dock walkways are well lit at night. The area is so nice to take a morning or evening walk. The marina is literally a stone's throw to restaurants, shops and ice cream parlor. The marina is a great value for the price. We will definitely be back!!!!
Our stay was great. The dockhand was very helpful.
Very nice marina. Very clean. Dockhands very helpful. We pumped out and got fuel. The marina is very large. Nice areas to walk along the ocean as well as within the marina. Restaurant in the marina was closed when we were there at the end of April. There are a couple of restaurants within a mile of the marina - we did not try them so unable to comment. No gate at the dock but marina is secured at both entrances by a key card. We saw an active security presence within the marina after 5:00 PM.
We had a short stay. We arrived around 3:30. Need 100 gallons of fuel, a pump out and some ice. Dockhand was help. We utilized the laundry facilities which were clean and reasonably priced ($2.00/load - not coin operated, need card). Marina store opened 9-4:00.
Dockhands at Bluewater are the best we have encountered any where. They are knowledgeable, helpful, courteous and pleasant to talk to.
Dockhands were very helpful, professional and knowledgeable!
The restaurant was great as usual for both service and food. Dockhands were inexperienced as far as tying up boats.
We had a great stay at Skull Creek. We stayed 4 nights. Got fuel and a pump out. Marina staff were very helpful. Only thing I would recommend is getting women’s bathroom door fixed so that it auto closes when people exit. The bathroom/showers are not within the gated marina. The bathroom door does have a keypad to enter but door needs to be pulled shut when someone exits. It is never pulled shut by the previous person. It is a little creepy going in at night when the door is left ajar. You feel like you need to check the stall and behind the shower curtain to ensure no one is lurking in there.
The dockhands were very helpful. We were able to use a courtesy golf cart for 90 mins to tour the island which was great. The marina restaurant Zachry’s Riverhouse was good. Would have liked to use the poll and hot tub but both full of leaves. We will drfinitely be back!
The staff at the marina were very nice. The marina appeared to be undergoing a lot of construction particularly around the pool area. The pool was extremely small. The laundry facilities closest to the little store/bait shop was the nicest. Laundry was reasonable at $3.00/load. There was a nice area to walk around the private residential area on one side of the marina.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Marina felt very secure. Customers were very friendly on J dock. We loved the area around the marina for walking. Loved Riverfront Esplanade. Great chocolates at Angels & Phelps. The best Açaà we have ever had at The Porch Kombucha, Tea and AçaÃ! We will definitely be back.
Marina staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Marina was beautiful!
The launch was great and timely. The launch operator was informative and friendly. There was only one 1/2 bathroom (unisex) and it was very dated. I did not see a galley that was described online. There was poor signage. The only showers we saw were 2 outdoor showers. There was a small deck with one table and one grill. It was positioned next to the boat launch which was pretty smelly at low tide. We had a nice inside mooring so the waves were minimal even on a busy 4th of July weekend. The view was picturesque from the mooring.
