Nice downtown location with responsive staff. Attention to locked gate felt secure with good suggestions for restaurants and local knowledge. Lack of water was a surprise but manageable. Music from wedding event space was loud, but stopped by 11pm. The colorful view of city skyline with reflection in the river was amazing.
Top notch facilities and staffing at Stock Island Marina made our month stay enjoyable. Pools are lovely and exceptionally clean. Restaurants have friendly staff and tasty food. The hotel hosted a safe New Year's gathering-- although we did not attend. We had trouble with pump out service on E-dock, but were able to get a pump out from another service. Looking forward to our next stay.
Clean and well run facility. Courtesy car for errands is very helpful. Restaurant had fun atmosphere and good food. Called the ship store for a needed supply-- they didn't carry it, but called back a few minutes later and said they could order and get it in a few hours. That was an unexpected surprise.
Beautiful marina surrounded by quaint shops and several excellent restaurants. The area around is a wooded neighbor for great walks and bike rides. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Wonderful facilities, shuttle service into downtown areas. Able to find competent mechanic for engine water pump problem-- work was done quickly and efficiently. Although dog-friendly with treats in the office, areas to walk the dog are limited.
Our short stay at Belhaven was impressive when Brad came out to the boat to welcome us and tell us that he appreciated our visit. Greg, dockmaster, insisted on making dinner reservations for us. This type of service is extraordinary!! The docks are less than a block away from several good restaurants and hardware store.
The staff at this marina are outstanding- efficient with docking help, fueling, pump out, etc. We had a minor mechanical problem and it was resolved in a couple hours because they have a talented subcontractor base that works to service AYB and their customers.
Friendly staff took good care of us. The town of Portsmouth is an easy walk and Norfolk and ferry ride across.
We had a wonderful visit at Zahnisers (even during the start of off season). Service work was performed by talented staff-- we started calling Chuck the "Professor" because of his amazing knowledge and insight of the electronic systems on our boat. Dry Dock Restaurant serves up wonderful and creative dishes. And Dockmaster Terry was friendly and helpful. The marina was reasonable walking distances to other restaurants and view of the rivers.
Quaint town makes this a great stop. Lovely picnic area, clean showers/laundry, and personable dock staff (Jeff) made our stay comfortable.
Nice facility-- even in off season, midweek. Picnic areas, bike rentals. Restaurants near the docks are fabulous. Owners, Ann & Joe gave us extra effort to help with transportation. The downtown area, only 1/2 miles from the docks, is charming with shopping and nice choices for restaurants.
Marina staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Chesapeake City is a charming historic village with great restaurant choices. Although our stay was mid-week and nearly off season-- we could see that the marina and restaurants at the Inn are a 'happening' spot. The Tiki Bar had lively music playing all afternoon and evening-- but not too loud.
Facilities are excellent-- clean and well maintained floating docks. Nice pool. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Looks like a fisherman's paradise-- dozens of sport fish boats with outriggers spanning the docks giving an appearance of an arbor-- beautiful at night when lit up. Also a number of friendly 'looper' transient trawlers. Short ride into town for great restaurants and touring.
Lovely spot to enjoy views of the Newport bridge and easy ferry access to Newport. Our visit was during a sleepy Labor Day and Tuesday when most restaurants were closed. Staff at the marina are professional and helpful. Shuttle service for remote parking was helpful since street parking near marina wasn't available. Floating docks are affected from occasional large wakes from the bay making boats sway vigorously in the marina-- but no problems.
Completely enjoyed our say in the middle of town-- easy walk to restaurants, parks, and music on the wharf. Staff was professional and attentive. Boats are tightly packed together, but much care to make sure boats are safe and secure.
Cancellation policy is harsh. Requirement of two night minimum and full deposit is forfeited when weather prevents a stay.
Wonderful staff -- friendly and assistance with docking was outstanding. Floating docks are well maintained. Shore facilities felt a bit dated, but reasonably clean. The Oar Restaurant at the base of the marina has outstanding sushi selections. Easy bike ride into town or excellent taxi services.
Busy marina with boats coming and going on fuel dock. Facilities are tired-- docks roped off with safety tape for areas with soft planks. Larger boats are assigned to fixed dock. The young staff is friendly, but not well trained. Location is near several good restaurants and the Tiki bar with live entertainment. Good Uber service to access town.
Friendly staff and fellow boaters on a busy July 4th made for a nice visit. The marina is tucked behind an industrial area, but a nice park is outside the gates. The restaurant was swamped with extra guests for the holiday, but the food was tastey.
The other boaters on our dock were very friendly-- but that's Chicago hospitality. The views of the Chicago skyline are spectacular. The easy walk to restaurants and groceries in the South Loop area makes this an ideal destination. The staff was very responsive and efficient during a problem we had at the dock-- they demonstrated empathy for an injury and clearly were very helpful.
