Wonderful marina and great team members. Chris is a wonderful person and he helped us with everything. Marina is close to the town and the facilities are great. We will be more than happy to stay here again.

Chris and his team made sure everything was perfect. From the loaner cars to the spa like showers it was a great experience!!!

Chris and the crew were super. Moored on it on one of their balls for 4 days treated us great. Nice clean laundry and bath facility. Fresh towels and all necessary soap and toiletries provided. Best part was use of a courtesy car to run for groceries etc . Nice harbor and these guys were are jewel

Outstanding stay! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The facilities are very nice, well kept, with great attention to detail. Chris and Lulu we very helpful. We don’t stay at marinas often, but Safe Harbor Rockland will be at the top of our list to return.

This is the 3rd Safe Harbor Marina we've stayed at and each time we are impressed how accommodating they are. Nice laundry, they solved our mechanical issues, courtesy car to reprovision and even a corn hole game on the dock. Chris is an excellent dockmaster!

Lulu and Chris were the absolute best! The service and facility are amazing! Rockland is very convenient by a walking trail that’s pleasant. Very dog friendly too.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. They helped us secure a much needed electrical repair, and had a nice curtesy suv ready for us when needed. Very helpful with dock lines and information about town. A small but nice laundry and a great restaurant on site. We rode out the remainder of Hurricane Debby on the dock without issue. The only knock is there was no pump out available. The town is within walking distance and has nice restaurants, museums and walking paths. We had a great time here.

I stayed at one of the moorings. They sent me a message before my arrival with mooring assignment, map of mooring field. Also sent an email with information about their marina and the town. The marina is located south of town, but it is an easy walk along the harbor. Was a great opportunity to stretch the legs. If you are looking for a meal off the boat, I recommend Archers.

Really great Marina. Super nice guest house and showers with complimentary towels , soap, shampoo, coffee, water, even a beer at the dock house. Very friendly and helpful staff. First time anyone’s ever tied up my dinghy for me. :) wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing to note is that we were on a mooring and the field is farther out from the actual marina past other moorings the last line before the bay actually. Not an issue but a bit confusing if you have not been here before.

Our stay was great, as usual. Chris, the dockmaster, and his crew are the best. This is one of our favorite stops. The courtesy car is a wonderfully helpful asset for cruisers to use for re-provisioning, shopping, dinner, etc.

Fantastic facilities, courtesy cars, completely protected, and the (young!) staff was extremely competent, professional and courteous. They pay attention to every detail, we will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Fantastic marina. Great for mooring or a spot on the dock. Well managed by Chris (who is super helpful and responsive on dockwa), with excellent facilities (shower, free laundry, courtesy SUVs). And a 10 minute walk to downtown Rockland.

Chris and the SH Rocklands team provide an outstanding experience for transient boaters. There is ample staff available to assist as well as spotless facilities and a free laundry! Chris was also able to arrange for an electrician on very short notice. An outstanding location and staff to match.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Super clean and new feeling bathrooms, stocked with towels and soaps to use! Didn't realize they had a grill for use on their fixed pier, will absolutely cook up some dinner next time! Would definitely stay again.

We just returned from a short one-night stay at Safe Harbor Marina in Rockland, and we will absolutely plan to return. Just prior to our arrival, we received both a proactive call from the Dockmaster and an email with all of the information needed to ensure a proper approach. Upon arrival, we were immediately provided with a business card with all of the pertinent marina information. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are spotless, they even provide complementary bath towels! The Dockmaster Chris and the two dock hands obviously took pride in their work, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as pleasant as possible. If you are cruising the coast of Maine, Safe Harbor Marina in Rockland is a must, and you can enjoy a round of Corn Hole on their pier next to their fire pit!

Great little marina, just far enough out of the action. Dog friendly with a beach just outside the dock gate. The staff are friendly and professional, facilities spotless. Added bonus there is a YMCA less than a block away

Second time in Sh Rockland. Definitely the best w’ve ever met on our journey. The wonderful team of Chris, Loulou and all the staff makes you feel special here. The facilities are perfect. The laundry the shower five star. The compliment car for grocery etc… . they are Incredibly helpful friendly. Congratulation and please teach all the other marina around the world how good you are. Very small but five star marina. With a beautiful view on the bay. Incredible staff so helpful and friendly. So … we stayed longer to enjoy this hospitality. Rm

We cannot say enough about the helpfulness and hospitality we encountered here in Rockland. Chris, the Dockmaster, was efficient and professional, and always with a smile. His team certainly takes his lead. The facilities far exceeded our expectations (showers, laundry, transportation). We enjoyed our dinner at Archers; we also enjoyed being able to partake in the membership evening. Thank you to everyone - you show Maine in a bright way.

We were on a mooring for a week and just blown away by the Chris the Dockmaster and the overall quality of operation.

Very welcoming marina with excellent service, laundry and shower facilities and courtesy car for those needing such things as groceries.

Nice marina, friendly Dock Master (Chris), met us to tie up even after normal closing times. Mostly sheltered from wakes. Good wifi, 4 showers total, clean and spacious, even complimentary coffee in the lounge area and towels were provided. Adjacent restaurant, but easy walk to downtown for many others. (don't wait past 8 pm though). Our first stay at a Safe Harbor dock, so was impressed with the level of cleanliness and hospitality. Hopefully this is what we'll see at others too!

This is not my first report. I think this facility is the best I have visited in the past four years...my time with a seaworthy boat. I highly recommend a visit if in the area

Chris the dock master and his staff were great! Nice shower facility. I was on a mooring as they couldn’t accommodate me at the dock. The loaner car to go provision was a really nice bonus! Rockland as a town is all a painter/sailor could want - Hamilton Marine chandlery, Farnsworth Museum, ………

Very clean and professional

We loved our experience at the slip. Chris, Melvin, Joe, Lulu are the best. We were able to get the courtesy car and head out to see The Olson House--where Andrew Wyeth painted his famous "Christina's World" painting. The facilities are amazing--fully equipped showers and bathrooms, walking distance to the main street of Rockland--great restaurants, especially enjoyed Me Lon Togo (I love Togo)--wonderfully authentic cuisine from West Africa--and music. Chef Jordan plays drums to accompany a guitarist--an experience not to be missed!

We got a mooring here at the last minute as our other choice in Rockland did not work out. What a pleasant surprise. The Safe Harbor facility was small but immaculate. The team, led by Chris Benedict were wonderful, polite and helpful, The facilities were immaculate. Complimentary terry cloth towels in the showers(?!) - that's a first. The docks and mooring tackle were the latest and highest quality. A great choice in Rockland. We will be back!

Safe Harbor Rockland provides an extraordinary level of service to the visiting yachtsman. The shower facility is spotless and provide fresh towels, laundry is free, courtesy car available, staff helpful, pleasant and willing to go the extra mile. Some of the higher priced facilities on the East coast could take a page from their book. Rockland is a worthwhile stop for those in need supplies and bit of culture at the Farnsworth Museum, and it’s nice to see an active, working waterfront.

Exceptional! We’ve been sailing the coast from Portland to Rockland, and Safe Harbor Rockland is in a class all their own. All the amenities are as advertised. Very clean showers (fresh towels included!) and the complimentary laundry machines are in excellent condition. The docks themselves are like new with easy access to water hoses and shore power hookups. The facility is located at the end of a pleasant walking path along the harbor that leads into town (10 minute walk to great coffee, baked goods, dining, and shops). We also were able to utilize the courtesy vehicle for a trip to Hannaford for some groceries. Best of all, is the service provided by the staff! Dockhands Lulu and Joe were waiting on the dock with Dockmaster Chris as we approached. They caught our lines for a smooth docking and provided warm greetings. They provided service from the start by offering and then hooking up ur vessel to shore power. Lulu provided us a written card with passcodes and WiFi access (their WiFi signal is excellent). We enjoyed our evening so much the we stayed an extra day. On a return sail from North Haven (highly recommend), we were a bit slow and had a 1900 arrival (closing time). I called the marina and dockhand Brady was there to catch our lines and hook up shore power. I can’t say enough how enjoyable our stay was due to the excellent staff! We will definitely return and highly recommend SH if Rockland is one of your cruising destinations.

Safe Harbors Rockland was very accommodating. No fault of theirs, but the open harbor is too folly for our returning. No harbormaster control of boat speed.

Chris, the dock master and his team were extraordinarily helpful and skilled. The amenities at this marina were a step above all other marinas we visited. In particular the restrooms and showers were in great condition, had fresh flowers and unusual in my experience, towels, shampoo and soap were provided. Make up remover was even provided for the ladies. In the laundry room the washers and dryers were new and were available at no cost; as well detergent etc again was available at no cost. Kudos to Chris and his team. We will certainly be returning.

We never want to leave… Can’t say enough good things about the marina and Rockland. The marina: friendly staff who went above and beyond(Chris, Lulu, Joe and Wallace), the immaculate showers with clean fluffy towels, courtesy car, laundry, convenient restaurant(Archers), the cozy seating area with gas fireplace. We loved our stay!

Staff, facilities, location, could not have been better. Absolutely top notch facility. Grocery and hardware store are a good way away so the loaner car was really helpful. It is Maine so the weather was to be expected. Staff was available, helpful, and responsive beyond our expectations. Small facility currently, with permits and intentions to move ahead with a significant expansion. Great convenient location with easy walking access to Rockland facilities including the Farnsworth Museum, fuel, large marine repair facilities, a restored theater, a vibrant downtown noticeably scant in the typical tourist trappings.

What a wonderful Marina. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly! They went above and beyond, helping us with whatever we needed. Even encouraging us to take the courtesy car just because it was rainy. The floating docks were in great condition. The bathrooms and laundry facilities were spotless and updated. We will defiantly return if we are in the area!

Third time here. Great experience every time. They have the best staff of any marina in Maine. Brady (he really is “the GOAT”) did a terrific and went the extra mile. The docks are in great condition and the bathrooms and showers are the very best.

I've had only good experiences in Safe Harbor Rockland. The staff is beyond helpful and dedicated (Chris, Melvin - thank you so much!), going the extra mile to help with transportation, boat issues, deliveries, and so on that seem to come up while cruising. Also, the laundry and bathroom facilities are always pristine and well supplied - best I've ever seen anywhere in a marina. One small but very appreciated detail is that they provide fresh towels for showers, which can be wonderful up in Maine in early or late season, when condensation can be an issue and towels just don't dry easily on a boat. Many thanks to Safe Harbor Rockland staff.

Safe Harbor Rockland is the highlight of our transit from Quebec City to Stonington CT. Immaculate facilities, private docks, and outstanding service by the staff who go out of thier way to get to know thier guests needs. A must stay when visiting Penobscot Bay area!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Safe Harbor in Rockland! Took an early season spin through the mid coast and had the pleasure of spending a night with Chris, Melvin and the rest of the very attentive team at Safe Harbor. Top notch hospitality and service in spite of it being so early in the season. Great amenities (spotless bathrooms with towels and laundry access provided free of charge, courtesy car so we could visit a local restaurant). Fantastic location, easily walkable to everything in downtown Rockland, can’t wait to return!

Communication with Safe Harbor is excellent!

We had a great experience at Safe Harbor Rockland. We stayed a couple of nights at the dock and a few more on a mooring. Chris and the dock crew are all extremely friendly, helpful and encouraging. The facilities are excellent and include amenities not offered at many other amenities. Tip: they have moorings closer to the marina and a few over by the breakwater. Our nights near the marina made coming to shore more convenient but we had less ferry boat rocking near the breakwater. Thank you again to all of the dock crew!

We just put our boat on the hard and wrapped up our first season with Safe Harbor Rockland. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. This is a smaller marina with a top notch team. They got to know us and provided excellent service, making us feel special. No matter what we were trying to do (or fix), they were always eager to help. Melvin, Chris, Brady, Havana, Erv and the entire gang were all wonderful! We are definitely coming back next season.

Safe Harbor Rockland is absolutely top notch. Everyone from the employees you interact with on the dock, to those in the back office, are extremely friendly and very accommodating. Dock-master Chris and his dockhand, Melvin, went far above and beyond with every interaction we had. They took VERY good care of us!!!! We moored at Safe Harbor for the season. The amenities are incredible. Bath house is extremely clean and towels, bath mats, and extra items such as soap, shampoo, q-tips, etc are always on hand and easily accessible at no cost. The laundry facility is amazing as well. Truly can’t say enough good things about this marina. We look forward to returning for the season next year!

Great location, clean facilities and helpful staff make this our favorite Maine marina

Safe Harbor Rockland is a true gem of a marina. We travel the world stopping at different marinas and facilities and Rockland is at the top of our list of favorites. The staff here are incredibly accommodating and go out of their way to make sure our stay is perfect. The docks are in excellent condition already and I'm looking forward to visiting again when the new docks are in. If you're cruising in the Rockland area, Safe Harbor is a must stop.

We’ve been at a lot of marinas from Florida to Maine and Safe Harbor Rockland is simply the best! It’s location in Rockland Harbor is perfect - right on the Harbor Walk, close enough to town and Hamilton Marine to walk, but far enough away to be a quiet marina. Amenities like the best bathrooms in Rockland, laundry facilities, courtesy car, grill and seating area, and a restaurant at the top of the pier make this marina exceptional! We enjoyed our quick visit a few years ago so much that we are now seasonally based at Safe Harbor Rockland. While the facilities are great it’s the people who make the difference. Chris, Melvin, Brady, and Havana bend over backwards to make sure everything is tip-top. This year’s almost over and we look forward to returning next summer!

Our favorite Marina in Maine. Chris and his crew are helpful, attentive and friendly. Whether you are on a Mooring or at the dock the amenities are first class. Fabulous clean bath house. Showers with towels, bath mats and any toiletries you may have forgotten. Free laundry ! Courtesy cars are brand new and seem to always be available. The walk to town is quick. This is a Marina we will stop at any time we are cruising in Maine. Bonus is the great restaurant at the Marina. SV Skalliwag

I cannot speak highly enough about Safe Harbor Rockland. Chris, the dockmaster, and Melvin, the #1 seasoned dockhand, are absolutely incredible. From the moment they tie you up, they are constantly asking if there is anything else they can do. Melvin would stop by the boat several times a day to check on us and see if there was anything we needed. The showers are some of the best we’ve seen. They include towel, floor mats, personal products and are impeccably clean. There’s no charge to use the washers and dryers which is the first we’ve seen in our cruising days. It is a short walk into town which is nice for the exercise and it is also much quieter there than the marinas on the town docks. And if you don’t want to walk they have courtesy cars which are one year old Ford Explorers. I wish I had a car that nice. They are getting ready to do a major expansion of this marina and I would encourage everyone to consider it if they’re staying in Rockland. Totally a first class operation!

Safe Harbor Rockland is a fantastic marina! We docked for a couple of nights. The staff are so helpful and friendly! The facilities/amenities are great - beautiful docks, gorgeous showers and rest rooms, laundry, and courtesy car. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Terrific facility and super restaurant. Be sure to check hours at the restaurant for lunch and dinner. Breakfast you are on your own so plan ahead.

Fantastic marina. The staff is friendly and helpful. The heads, showers, and laundry are spotless and well stocked. (there was even a hair dryer!). Excellent courtesy vehicle. The only thing to note is that the moorings are fairly far out from the marina. Rockland is a great little town to explore with a fantastic art museum.

Good facilities, dock hands good and helpful, but since the takeover they seem to be employing younger inexperienced people to run their office, disorganized and didn't know much. Pump out no longer offered - should be removed from the advertised services. Unfortunately a 120' power palace got docked stern-on to our cockpit and decided to run their generator all day and night so our cockpit was flooded with fumes and noise all night. Staff could have told then to dock the other way round so they didn't ruin the stay for us.

Great place, staff and service

This marina offers a good view of the harbor and a pleasant walk downtown. Our 37' would have fit nicely into a berth. We came on the 124' which overhung it's berth and we might have disturbed other customers because we ran a gen all night. However, we would certainly bring either vesel back to this marina.

Is a rocky harbor and if you are on the moorings can be bumpy The stuff at the marina is super helpful and going beyond their duties. We came after hour and in rough condition , but we were helped. Very responsive. One bummer is lack of launch . You can Call Rockland yach club but is very expensive and works until 8pm. We paid $10 per person one way .

So far this summer, we've visited this marina on three different occasions. The staff and facilities are tremendous and the welcome we receive had a tremendous impact on this season's boating experience.

We had a little difficulty finding the mooring but Chris came out in a dinghy and escorted us to it. The service he provided was excellent, we would definitely stay here again…

On a mooring, very solid and safe. It’s a quick dinghy ride into the dock. A dedicated dinghy dock would nice, but we always find space between the big boats. Clean, new showers and laundry. Easy walk into town. Hamilton Marine is close by for supplies. We love the Brass Compass for breakfast.

Bonnie and her team are very accommodating. Beautiful shower/rest room facility. Moorings are new but are a little far from the dock.

The gents working the docks are rock stars. We stayed on a transient mooring and they were so helpful getting us dinghy space on the docks every time we pulled up. And the place is full. They were very accommodating.

Bonnie was great, bathrooms and shower, laundry facilities are amazing, best we've seen, it's free towels, laundry detergent, soaps, toothpaste, razors...very nice. No launch or commons area yet, we were told it's coming. Staff were very pleasant, helpful. So very very good for what's there...

This is our third time staying at this marina. We love it here! They are going through some growing pains. This time was not as good as it could’ve been. We could not get 50 amp power hooked up. And water was too far away from our boat to hook up. The dock hands are a bit under trained and the bathrooms were not as clean or stocked. Hopefully this is temporary. Bonnie and her husband are very nice and accommodating. We will be back next time we’re in Rockland!

A terrific facility, and wonderful staff - they did everything to make our stay good, from providing early morning coffee and laundry to repair services. I would highly recommend them - Bonnie was wonderful!

Update 08/16 - Another great stay at Safe Harbor Rockland. We really appreciate the hospitality of the staff and the clean facilities. Mooring ball was relatively new, easy to find and pick up. There was plenty of swing room for our 51’ trawler. Dock space for landing dinghy was limited, but we always found a spot. Laundry machines (2 washers, 2 dryers) were in good condition and free. Bathrooms were roomy and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent location. Pretty tired facility. Presumably Safe Harbor will infuse much needed capital improvements.

Great Marina. --Very state of the Art. ; Great staff-helpful.Really mostly up to date and a quality marina--few updates pending.new additions. pedestals for electric plug ins and hoses ... but great shower facility; grilling and lounge features and courtesy car -helpful in grocery run! Recommend a stay and we will return.

Loved our stay at Safe Harbor Rockland! The crew here went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They came out and helped make sure we were safely on our ball, gave us a car loaner, and provided beautiful bathroom facilities with towels, razors, shampoo, and even makeup remover! Great restaurant right off their dock..... can't be beat.

While we love SH marinas, Rockland’s is a step above. Towels in the showers, complimentary laundry, courtesy cars. They pride themselves on great service.

The moorings were excellent, a little far out, but clean pendants and plenty of room. Dinghy dock is very small. Bonnie was very welcoming. The restaurant host needs some public service training, but I understand how hard good help is to find these days.

We stayed at Safe Harbor Rockland to wait out the passage of tropical storm Elsa through Maine. The dock staff went above and beyond to make sure our boat was safely tied to the dock, helping with boat lines and even providing an additional fender to keep the boat off the dock. The bathrooms, showers and laundry facility were the best we have experienced in Maine (so far). Very nicely done. Interesting that there was no charge for the laundry. That was a nice touch. Yes, we will be back.

Great facility and staff. As Rockland harbor can get a little stirred up with easterly winds, the breakwater provides welcome protection.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. A really generous marina management that provides courtesy cars!! I had to get to a marine parts store and do some serious provisioning and the car made it all possible. Who provides unlimited Koureg coffee, towels, shampoo, conditioner, free laundry and all the amenities imaginable when you stay at a marina? They do!!

We usually do not write reviews but this marina was exceptional and we felt the need to share our experience! The staff were helpful before we even landed on the docks - they were there to grab lines and welcome us. The marina is very protected and convenient to downtown Rockland. The facilities were top notch with the best bathrooms we’ve seen in all our Maine cruising experience - they provide towels, soaps, razors, everything you need! The laundry is FREE and greatly appreciated. The pier has a grill for visiting boats to use and even a courtesy car (although we did not need it). All of this at a competitive rate per foot. Thank you Yachting Solutions for all of your services and courtesy - great customer service by everyone we met. Cheers!

Nice facility, good WiFi, professional staff and easy walk to town. Staff were very helpful, protected marina.

Really well run organization! Bonnie and Havana were both so helpful, they were there at a moments notice. The docks were are super well maintained with an awesome grill and burner. The showers and laundry were so clean, and the showers were fully stocked. The dock bar was also fantastic! We didn’t use the courtesy car, but it was there if we needed it.

What an amazing place and the staff is top-notch and right on top of everything. We'll hopefully get back at some point, hopefully, this summer. It was just sad to see the state of Rockland with so many of the stores closed. I hope that folks can get back on their feet.

Top shelf marina. Bonny the Dockmaster/owner is the best as is Havana on the dock. Marina is super clean, a five min walk to town and they even have nice new courtesy cars to use. They can’t do enough to help you. We will defiantly be returning.

Best experience at a marina traveling the east coast so far! Protected waters. Guesthouse was the nicest we have ever used. Spa equivalent shampoo, conditioner, body wash supplied. Hair dryer, razors, towels supplied if you need them. Free laundry. Free coffee in the mornings. Brand new courtesy car to use. Nice outdoor furniture seating area with fire pit and bbq grill to use. Great on site restaurant. Special thanks to Dock attendant, Havana, for all his help. The owners even came out and introduced themselves. We will definitely be back!

Great experience. Much quieter than the marina directly in town and still an easy and lovely walk to town. Staff were a delight to work with, professional, and attentive. The facilities and amenities were one of the best (and cleanest) we’ve seen so far. Way to go!

Dock attendants were great. Very helpful. Shower facilities are the BEST on the coast. GREAT location - easy to get to and from. Plus, the short walk to town is handy - only a few minutes. Archer's Restaurant is wonderful - a great place to eat. We will be back!

What a great marina. We were passing through from RI and stayed 2 nights. Bonnie and Bill were great hosts. Dock attendants, Marshall, Austin, Taylor and Jess could not have been nicer. Cleanest and nicest bathrooms I’ve seen at a marina with free toothpaste, razors, soap, shampoo. And get this, even a courtesy car to use anytime. They also arranged for some minor repairs on my boat while there with some very nice and accommodating mechanics. This is a standout marina. Not to mention the beautiful town of Rockland. Be sure to stay here if you’re in the area. Don’t miss the Wyeth Center in town at the Farnsworth Museum. Free on the first Friday of every month!

This is, by far, one of the very best marina facilities I have ever used. Vincent is amazing and willing to do whatever is necessary to improve your stay and manage dock space. The dock amenities are truly beautiful including a shaded sitting area and barbecue grill and sink. Cold beer is waiting in the cooler. The shower/bathing facilities are wonderful and everything is immaculately clean. There is a fabulous Nespresso coffee machine available as well. Use of laundry equipment is included in the dock fee, so no digging around for quarters to wash clothes. I was offered a Yachting Solutions courtesy car when I had to take care of some business around 10 minutes away. If headed to Rockland, look no further for marina options--stay at Yachting Solutions Boat Basin. You won't regret it.

Amazing facilities and the most accommodating staff we have ever experienced. Having never been to Rockland before, we were picking this marina blindly. Bathrooms and showers are brand new. They even provide toiletries, amazing. We will be back.

Very nice staff and great facilities. Free ice, free laundry, free courtesy car. Top notch operation. We needed a diver to check a through hull intake and of course they had one on staff who was with us had fixed our problem within a couple of hours. Very pleased with the extra service at a reasonable fee. Thanks YSBB.
