Safe Harbor Marathon

While it was a quick overnight stay, good facility and quick refuel in the morning before heading to West coast Florida.

Safe harbor Marathon is an amazing experience in every way for all types of boaters and style of boats! There are plenty of great marinas in South Florida and the Keys, but Safe Harbor Marathon stands out with their exceptional service at every level. I recently spent a week there protecting our work boat, Cool Beans, from Milton, and I did not want to leave I enjoyed being there so much! Chris, Brian, the other Brian, and all the fuel dock staff were polite, friendly and incredibly helpful with local recommendations as well as setting up our boat for Milton. Cannot thank you guys enough, or give a strong enough recommendation! Best Marina In Florida!!

Safe Harbor Marathon is the best marina in Florida! As a professional Captain conducting deliveries in marinas throughout Florida, the staff at Safe Harbor Marathon always go above and beyond to provide any support or assistance they can. Every single person there has always been incredibly professional and friendly. This attitude starts at the top level of management and permeates every aspect of the marina including the live aboard population there. They have always been friendly and helpful when I have been there as well. The shower and laundry facilities are all new, up to date, and have great water pressure and plenty of hot water. The pool is beautiful, has an amazing view, and is always clean and well kept. The property is always clean, the trash cans are emptied regularly and the staff are always extremely respectful anytime your vessel is boarded for pump outs etc. I docked my personal boat there as well and my four children ages 9 to 12 were always made to feel welcome anywhere we went and by everyone they encountered. Marathon offers several outstanding restaurants and vacation activities as well. I cannot recommend Safe Harbor Marathon enough!

Everyone who works there was super friendly and helpful except the lady who checks you in/out and answers the phone. When I called more than once about info before we booked she was nice but gave me miss information that I found out once we arrived and throughout our stay especially when we departed she was very excessively rude to my wife then again to me when I questioned her on what I was told before we committed to stay at this rv resort. We came down with a rv and 22 foot bay boat and rented a truck to put the boat in and out. I asked about where the boat would be docked if it had power to re charge the trolling motor. Was told yes. After first day on water I found that none of the posts had power. I called the after hours number and the manager was very nice and told me where I could get power about 100+- feet away. Good Thing i packed an extra long cord just in case! Otherwise i would have no trolling motor for spot lock ect the next day or our entire trip. We found out upon arrival that we would only have access to my boat from dawn to dusk which changed a ton of our fishing plans of being out early morning for wahoo on reef edge or bully netting at night. (BIG BUMMER!!) Was told when I booked that I was being put in the back corner and would be able to keep my trailer and truck in front of the rv unattached so I could have access to it to pull the boat in and out to clean it or go to different islands to fish because that sight had plenty of room and it was there slow season and park was less than half full. That was a lie. They made me drop my trailer in there ship yard and they parked it with a forklift and if i wanted it I was supposed to make arrangements with them so they could get it out for me and they had to put it back when I came back with trailer. Then they charged me $167.63 for storage. Worst part of our experience was when we checked out. Before we made the actual reservation and decided on this place over several other options in marathon big pine ect area. I asked about there cancelation policy that i had read online and being it was going to be peak hurricane season and we were booking around 15+ nights. I was told that if we had to leave early or cancel last minute because of tropical storm or hurricane and there would not be any cancelation fees because its peak hurricane season, it was there slow season, and they would not be loosing out to someone else because they had plenty of open sights ect ect. After booking we added a few days to extend our trip no problem. Made good time traveling and the sight was open so we arrived a day early no problem. 19 night total. hurricane Helene was named a tropical storm sept24 and going to be a hurricane sept 25 and going to make landfall sept 26. Our extended departure day was sept27. original was sept sept 24. Since the island was under a tropical storm warning with 60+ winds from the south and 1-3 foot storm surge we thought it best to depart and get through the state before it made landfall to avoid all the destruction and power outages ect ect it would impose on our travel path home. When my wife checked out wed morning and mentioned credit for the days we were not staying the lady was rude to her and said they needed 5 day notice. Once we got the rental truck dropped off she told me her experience and I said I would call because I was one who was told the cancelation policy guideline for a bad storm/ hurricane. When I asked her about what I was told she Instantly started snapping rudely at me and said i told your wife we need 5 days!! and went on with comments like We didn't force you to leave! There's no storm it hasn't even been named yet! (Which is false it was a hurricane while i was on phone with her) There's other campers and we haven't forced them to leave! There still here! We still got boats on the docks! ect! 2 of the 3 other campers i never seen a person at for the entire stay and the 3rd had a place to go incase of emergency. I said anyways that's fine if that's what it is then ok but when someone calls and asks about cancelation policy during hurricane season you should be honest and say you need 5 days notice unless you kick them out under government mandatory evacuation orders because that is the understanding i am getting from what your telling me. She continued to be rude and said i could talk to the manager the next day if i wished. The park was very nice and clean, well maintained and the pool was awesome with the extreme heat we experienced and the rest of the staff in the marina and fuel dock was top notch and friendly and helpful. Fish cleaning station was spotless! Just wish they would of been more honest when I was calling about info when we was in our decision making of which resort we was going to choose it would of weighted heavily.

First class facility right at the entrance to Marathon harbor. We were met at the fuel dock by a very friendly and helpful lady. After fueling she explained our slip location and had someone there to meet us and catch lines.

Safe Harbor Marathon was a great stop on our Florida mini loop cruise. Rick at the fuel dock and office personnel were fantastic. Pool, resturant and services are top shelf. Will surely stop in agaim on our next trip to Key West.

What a great quick stop! We got a last minute slip but when we arrived, the slip was a side tie on a dock so high that we may not have been able to get off of the boat. Rick fueled us up and then tied us to the fuel dock since we came in at closing and were leaving before they opened the next day. What great customer service to be so accommodating! Lazydays also had a great dinner. Got the coconut shrimp salad which was huge!! Enough for dinner and lunch the next day! Thanks!!

Very unhappy. We had a mechanical problem, and after we arrived, asked for another day. This was late in the day so that no one else had requested the slip. Early the next morning, our mechanical problem was resolved and we were able to move on. We asked that our slip could be Credited for another visit or canceled given that they had the rest of the day to fill it. , the weather was deteriorating, and we needed to move. They refused and took our $200. On the other hand, Perry marina changed our reservation several times at the last minute to accommodate both the weather and our mechanical problem. Safe Harbor chose not to be flexible and refuse to give us credit. I understand that they have a policy but flexibility is very appreciated. I have removed my name from the waiting list for a long-term Safe Harbor spot. I don’t want to deal with the company that puts policy over people. Well the docks were nice and the electrician was especially kind, the office personnel were not. I would not recommend this marina, although it is very nice. It has a corporate mentality and not a boater mentality.

Very friendly and helpful staff, both at gas dock and while docking in our slip. Lovely marina campus with outdoor areas to enjoy. We had packages expected and they worked with us to assure their safety. Close access to the Old 7 Mile Train Bridge and the main highway in town. An easy walk to Porky's BBQ, which is a must stop!!!

Great staff nice facilities. We could only get a spot on the gas dock which we were grateful for but meant we had to arrive after 4:30 and leave by 7:30. We didn’t seem to get any discount for that. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars. On-site restaurant was good.

We loved our stay at Safe Harbor Marathon. It's a small, clean, very quaint and friendly place to stay. With easy access in and out and wonderful dock staff. The docks, fitness room and facilities were awesome. The only reason this isn't a 5 is because while we were there the washroom/laundry was under construction and the temporary facilities were very very busy. We would highly recommend and would definitely come back.

Great Staff - Everyone was - Helpful, Friendly, and Pleasant. Bathrooms, docks, and public areas were clean and tidy. We stayed for 3 nights as a storm blew through. Close uber ride to Publix for groceries.

The staff and facilities at Safe Harbor Marathon are the absolute best. I just love this place. These people go above and beyond to ensure your stay is without question the best marina experience you could possibly have. There should be a 10 star rating for them.

The staff is terrific. The facilities are nice. It was a challenging week for them as well as the patrons due to weather, and they were always on their A game. I would definitely go back.

Very nice Marina and restaurant was good food as well. It’s a little narrow getting in and out. I loved the floating bath house, very clean. I’m only giving 4 stars because a dock hand was not available to help us dock even though we arrived before the office closed.

Safe Harbor attempts to market this place as a premium marina and the facility is in shambles. The concrete dock is literally crumbling into the water. The fuel lines between tank and dispenser hang in the salt water, as do many of the electrical cords to the power pedestals. The laundry room / common showers have been infested with termites. To complicate matters, the manager, Dottie has zero customer relations skills and is merely a corporate robot. Although it is in a fantastic location, Safe Harbor Marathon is the worst marina experience I have ever had in 40 years of boating. This is particularly true when you consider their transient dockage rate is well above nearby marinas and their fuel price is 30 to 40 cents a gallon more the Panchos and Burdines who are both literally 150 yards further up Boot Key Channel.

Safe Harbor Marathon is our favorite get away spot … Dottie, Claudia, Rick, Elisa and the entire staff are super courteous and helpful … the location and facilities including the great pool are excellent … and Lazy Days on site restaurant is one of the best around … always love our stay here !

We enjoyed our one week stay in Ocean apartment. Our dockage and trailer storage worked out great. Dottie and the staff are very nice and helpful. It’s a pleasure to get fuel and ice at the fuel dock.

Very easy to get in and out of. Provided for everything we needed...Once repairs come through we'll attempt ti catch the wind on the gulf syde on our way to St. Petersburg. Cheers

Awesome find! We lucked into the Safe Harbor Marathon for mini season and could not have been luckier to do so! The staff are so very helpful, the slip was an excellent location and the marina itself was great. And, I've never seen cleaner restrooms! The ease of booking our reservation was a plus. I cannot recommend Safe Harbor Marathon Marina more!!

We are repeat customers and this is our 1st visit fully under Safe Harbor and the new office staff. Our last visit was in 2021 during the transition and old staff. We were surprised and slightly disappointed that in the 2 years since we’ve been away other than new staff, increased rates and an inconvenient and temperamental fob system for access nothing has been upgraded. There are lots of ‘rules’ that are not consistently applied (not storing bikes on docks yet some people were allowed to store and charge their scooters?) and various other ‘picky’ items considering the marina was very empty the whole month we were there and one would think they would be grateful for the business and do what they could to accommodate customers. I was working remote while here and the last week and half there were two days we did not have internet which impacted my ability to work. I called the office to report and was told it would be looked into but never had any follow up? This marina also makes it very difficult to have work done on your boat, marine mechanics are extremely busy and trying to find one quickly and local isn’t easy. When you do, they aren’t on the approved list for the marina and the ones that are approved have a 3 week wait. It almost seems with some of the new ‘rules’ they are trying to discourage boaters from staying? The fitness room and shower were unbearably hot. You would take a shower and come out sweating needing another shower. The laundry room showers had hot water issues so we used the fitness shower until they opened the members shower and temp laundry room up to us- that shower had ac. We also connected with repeat rv customers while at the pool who were not happy with new rules and increased prices. We thought after two years we would arrive to many improvements. While the beginning of this review sounds negative, we love the location, (best view in Marathon) love Rick at the fuel dock, the restaurant is still great and made lifetime friends in our dock neighbors. There is a lot of room for improvement by Safe Harbor, especially with increased rates. We truly hope this marina does improve for its members and guests as we come to the Keys each year for a month and look forward to our time in Marathon.

We had the pleasure of spending 1 month at the marina. Arrived by boat & stayed in one of the on-site rooms. Enjoyed the Tiki hut sitting areas. Plenty of restrooms and a laundry room on site. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The fuel attendants provided good service. Marina is conveniently located near the base of the 7 mile bridge giving a boater easy access to both the Atlantic & Fl. bay. We will definitely be returning.

Rick/Steve helped us tie up for fuel. I wanted to pay for the fuel after getting tied up in our slip for a one night stay. He said no. I had to wait for him to wait on two other boats before I could pay for my fuel. He untied us from the fuel dock. He did not help us tie up on the slip #2. They wanted us to tie up across the water on the non-floating docks when the 1-8 floating docks were wide open. We called the manager to switch to dock #2, That was approved. Rick/Steve did not provide any service other that than tie/untie us at the fuel dock. He waited on two other boats before I could pay even though I was there first. Not the service I expected for our 6th stay there.

Bruce and I have been coming to this Marina for 12 years and by far this was our very best stay as liveaboards for 6 months --100%due to an EXCEPTIONAL TEAM that is always there to provide you with only the VERY BEST OF A++++Customer Service!! We had a great slip for our little boat and the facility is top notch. Very safe and secure, and very accommodating to our needs. We would not hesitate to dock here again.

We loved everything about our stay. Dottie, Alyssa, Claudia, Brian & Carlos we fantastic. A great location with restaurants and bars within walking distance and Publix right down the road. We are definitely going back and staying longer.

We were so impressed with the updates and efficient manner the marina is being run. We were there a few years ago & it was not a good experience. This time we stayed 3 months and it was awesome! This is our 6th year. Excepting the significant increase in dockage fees, the manager, Dottie, and her ENTIRE staff are a pleasure. The facility is clean, marina store and fuel dock are well stocked, and manager and staff are on top of everything.

This is our second year visiting this marina. Staff is excellent and facilities are great.

have stayed in several marinas in the keys. this one was my favorite. Staff (Rick) was friendly and knowledgeable. tied up to new floating docks made getting on and off the boat a breeze. had about 6' at all times coming into port at near low tide. turned up a bit of mud while backing into slip(4'draft). Lazy Days restaurant was good. Our little boy enjoyed the pool. I would feel comfortable here for extended stays too.

It's a little challenge to get into slips with current & wind, but one in, you have a relaxing friendly staff, a swimming g pool, lounge, fitness center, Lazy Days restaurant/ bar & free ice with fuel. I enjoyed my stay.

Easy in and out, right off the channel before you enter the harbor. Watch the shallows, check Active Captain and Waterway Guide alerts. East, E Docks, are perfect for short stay tranients. The E docks are floating. The E dock slips feature the Aqua Lounge (bathhouse) and a small office and store that can fullfill all quick stop needs. Longer stay amenities such as the bar/restaurant, pool, gym, and laundry are better served from the western docks.

This was our first time in Marathon and we couldn’t have picked a better Marina. The staff were friendly, professional, and visible (walking the docks, etc.). The Marina and facilities were clean and easy to access. I would highly recommend this Marina

Ahoy All Mariners We’re 40yr veteran cruisers, sail & power, seasonal & yr round live aboard in NYC, CT, Boston, Miami & St Augustine. Not since Brewers Capri in Port W, LI have we had such a wonderful marina experience. Dottie Wright leads a great team with Kirstie & Cindy holding the front desk fort, Chris, Ryan & Robbie on the docks, Carlos in the yard & Claudia & Rick welcoming you at the fuel & transient dock & Alyssa doing regular rounds like Dottie. to make sure all’s well, it’s an absolutely first rate place because of the team & great leadership! Just having a well run, clean marina and a friendly staff would have been more than enough, but the staff coordinates a full slate of activities from Trivia nights to music/cocktails by the pool, to pot luck dinners & St Patty’s Day parties! The staff is top notch, helpful and very friendly. The facilities are nice and very clean. The cleaners do an awesome job. The pool is one of best at a marina. We revisit with old friends when we stay here and make new friends. A great marina. Ed and Gary are wonderful bartenders at the restaurant.

Safe Harbor is a lovely spot, but it is pricey and the cancellation policy is unsupportive of cruisers.

Great place. Stellar staff, very nice amenities, convenient for boat access. Could be closer to a grocery store and the Lazy Days restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. But the polish that Safe Harbor has applied really is apparent.

Safe Harbor Marathon is a modern marina with a pleasant and helpful staff. Claudia is a gem. She happily helped us fuel up, pump out, and then assisted us when docking our boat. We will be back soon.

The shower temps on the Aqua lodge were turned down to just warm. Last week they were pleasantly hot. A $20 per night electricity surcharge is “ highway robbery!” We stayed here because of all the benefits not offered by the competition. There is no way a boat is using $20 per day. My beach house is only $40 per month on off season! I would urge the Corp leaders to eliminate that mis guided decision. Also, the threaten $50 replacement fee for a lost fob is unreasonable. The location and the staff are all outstanding. From the lady at the fuel dock to Dottie in the office to the young lady checking you in. The staff members exhibit an unparalleled friendly approach to the boaters’ needs. The upper corporate management needs to keep the exciting big picture and drop the nickel and dime approach to generate revenue. All the best, John, Ventnor, NJ

Colorado trailer sailor approved! I stayed there for about a month over December and we had an absolute blast. Marina staff was incredibly kind along with the seasonal and transient renters I met. Special thanks to Dottie, Fuel dock Rick, Cindy, Brian, Chris, Gene, and Tony who made me feel at home for so many weeks. Thanks again you guys and hope to make the trip back again this year!

Best marina yet, spent two nights there traveling from Key West to Biscayne Bay. Cindy in the office was very kind and informative. Chris on the dock went above and beyond. Would definitely recommend!

Had a good stay at Safe Harbor Marathon. Bathrooms were kept clean and all went well except for the wifi at our dock. Lazy Days restaurant has a Happy Hour but you must ask for the HH menu. Large portions for regular meals. Heated pool is lovely.

Very impressed …. Been with Safe Harbor for several years, and the facilities and staff were excellent. Just terminated with Safe Harbor BSM since repairs after Ian for the live aboard was pathetic. They could learn a lot from this marina in how to take care of their customers . Once again they earned every star and will see my business again in the future.

Great that you have recycling prominently located! Pool with adjacent restaurant, at water’s edge, is lovely. Shower building should be replaced with more roomy facility.

Our stay at Safe Harbor Marathon was great. Staff is cheerful, helpful and all around made our stay enjoyable. Excellent dockage, bar and restaurant, pool facing amazing sunsets. Real close to Key West. We were going to transient for a couple days on our way to key west with DejaVu our Hunter 290 but had to stay for a total of 8 days due to deteriorating weather brough by hurricane Nicole. Our only complain was the toilet paper that was pitiful!!!. I commented to management on this and was assured that they were aware of the situation and they were just waiting to run out of existing stock to replace with real TP. It is a no brainer... The extra expense on better TP is going to be offset by the savings in Hand Soap!!

We love stopping here when they have room. Floating docks are great. Claudia and Cindy are very friendly and helpful. Good dinner at Lazy Days. A five-star marina!

Shower poor. Had on demand hot water, but so far from shower that it fluctuated between cold and scalding. And 30 amp shore power pedestal constantly tripped off. Had to borrow a 50 amp converter and hook up to a pedestal across the dock.

Absolutely the easiest and nicest Marina to book and stay at! Everything about the place is just great! Go to place when passing through the Keys.

We had to stop here due to damage to the boat and we extremely grateful to the staff for getting us in and working with our ever fluctuating timetable. We were delayed in getting help for repairs due to Thanksgiving closures and the staff worked with us to figure things out. Facilities are great with a beautiful pool and excellent restaurant on site. Thank you again, we appreciate it.

We came to Marathon for repairs and re-rigging on our catamaran. We basically got stuck here waiting for work to be completed. What a marvelous place to be "stuck". We like it so well we may never leave - except for the occasional trips to Bahamas and other nearby spots. Love the wonderful friendly staff and the pool and facilities are fantastic. Also appreciate that they are always continuing to upgrade the facilities.

Jules is golden and everybody likes her. She has a nice mix of professional and being cordial. Dottie is a "B" and she drives business and me away. It's a shame she hasn't realized how to use SKILLS rather than her bad temperament to achieve what she sets out to do. She will tank this marina.

great place for the rv. nice pool. bath house is clean. floating docks are nice and fuel station is easy. staff was always great to work with. only complaint is a policy complaint. requiring full pay a year in advance is crazy. want to book my boat slip and rv for next year but 100% full pay is unfair.

Good place to stay!!!

We really enjoyed our stop here. For starters, we were met at the dock by an employee who pointed out our slip and took lines from us. That is always appreciated. The large floating docks meant there was no need to adjust lines repetitively. The fuel dock was easy to maneuver. The restaurant was BIG and it was great! I didn’t give five stars only because there were amenities that more “posh” marinas offer. We paid $190, which wasn’t cheap. We only paid $160 in Key West.

Friendly marina staff. Fuel dock was helpful and attentive. Ships store was very light on maintenance and service items. Main showers were a little dirty and old. My crew reconsidered and chose to shower aboard.

Easy access on the Atlantic side near the North end of seven mile bridge. Great staff. Nice wide concrete floating docks. We had to extend our stay and haul out for some repairs and they were very accommodating and have a 75 MT travel lift.

Derek was very helpful during our arrival and docking process and pleasant as well. The facilities were clean and quiet and the pools was warm and clean, very nice overall. We will go back.

Our 3rd year here & a friendly, well run operation. Susan does a great job, obviously cares about & is responsive to each & every boater. She is ably assisted by Jules, Cindy, JJ, Derek & the entire team. Great pool, clean, large laundry facility, good restaurant on site, weekly pumpout, nice docks & well run. What more can you ask for? We're looking forward to our next visit already! 4/28/22 update on leaving- at fuel dock Claudia was exceptional as we arrived early and at 6:45am she made sure we filled with diesel and were on our way. Helpful, efficient, friendly! Thanks to all, great stay, looking forward to returning!

Very shallow, office is a long walk away, clean facility

I have been familiar with Safe harbor Marathon/Marathon Marina for over 20 years. It did win an award in 2018 but the condition/services since becoming a corporate facility have greatly diminished. The bathrooms were almost completely neglected for weeks until an outside cleaning service was hired. There used to be security with a closing gate which no longer is operable which allows anyone access at any time. The laundry facilities are deplorable as there are 3 washers and 2 dryers inoperable and the washers take over an hour and a half to do a 30 minute load. Only on two days a week are boats able to be hauled out as there is no one on the premises capable of this function. If there was an emergency I don't think one could get their boat pulled. There is a floating bath house that has been inoperable and no plans to fix other than to pull it out but no effort has been made. I have been given a plethora of excuses on all issues. Maybe it's corporate. I do like the staff as they are friendly and helpful. I apologize to any of the staff if this is a reflection on them. These issues have been ongoing for months with no rectification in sight.

Derek went above and beyond for us last week. My in-laws were coming into town and staying in one of the apartments on property. I got the key and checked out the room only to find that it had not been cleaned. In the time it took for me to drive to the airport and back he had cleaned the entire apartment from top to bottom! Considering he usually works in the office and it was a weekend so no housekeeper was working, I was absolutely thrilled that he was able to pull it off in such a short period of time. My in-laws enjoyed their stay at the marina and commented multiple times about how clean the room was. Thank you Derek for everything!

Great location , staff is friendly and super helpful from the moment we pulled in, fuel dock is super friendly and helpful. Fixed and floating docks, we are on Fixed, they are just fine, no issues at all. Dock neighbors are friendly. We will stay here again

Wonderful staff who keep an eye on my boat while I had to travel back home. More than anything, they have my trust.

We booked 2 nights stay and halfway thru our first day, we liked it so much we booked a third night. Employees helped with docking at fuel dock and our slip; loved the saltwater swimming pool; next door to excellent restaurant; laundry facilities (dryers were great but washing machines were quite slow) . . . Price was not outrageous for the keys . . . People were very friendly. Canal heading toward our slip was pretty narrow - and quite shallow outside of canal, so a bit tricky getting into and out of slip, but location is close to Moser Channel. We would stay here again.

Nice marina. Helpful staff and great pool

Derek is the man. We pulled in after a long day of travel and some boat issues and had no power. Derek was super helpful and accommodating and helped us sort through the problems. Huge thanks to Derek and the other marina staff for their hospitality.

The marina is great. We stayed on the transient docks - which are the newer floating docks. The saltwater pool is fantastic. The on-site restaurant is great - with some super $5 appetizers and happy-hour specials. We didn't use laundry facilities so can't comment.

Cindy and Rick were great help during our stay. The docks are nice, pool was amazing, plenty of laundry machines, and the private showers were nice to have too.

The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the pool and gym. The location is right across from the Heritage trail that is walking distance to the new railroad trail leading to Pigeon Key. Walking distance to many restuarants. I would stay here again.

Very pleasant staff who got us set up with a slip with us arriving an hour after closing. Called me with my slip number and good instructions to it. Our stay was extended while we made some repairs and they were very accommodating. Slip was great with no power issues (30 amp). Showers were a little tight but clean and worked well. Definitely will stay again on our next trip to the keys.

Spent 2 nights here after a long passage & had an OUTSTANDING experience. Jules & Susan were very helpful & Derek @ the fuel dock went over & above to assist us in a number of ways. Top notch facilities & walking distance to several good restaurants. Highly recommend!

We have received great service. Especially I would like to thank Derek who serviced gas station and whose help was far and beyond. I highly recommend this marina.

Staff was fantastic!!! Since they we will be going under construction soon, there were only portable trailer toilets and showers. The adjaceny to the bridge does make it a little noisy, and being Super Bowl Sunday probably added to the noise. It is close walking distance to restaurants.

Great place enjoyed our stay

My wife and I were so pleased with Derek in reservations. He spent a great amount of time extending our stay at the marina so that we could assist a family member in Michigan. While we were at his office desk he managed to extend our stay and address numerous incoming calls. He did this all by being kind and helpful to each caller. We want to thank Derek for his professionalism with us. We and sure his other customers feel the same. Marathon Safe Harbor definitely hires competent hard working employees. Great marina in Marathon near Seven-Mile Bridge. Nice, clean facilities including heated pool and spacious laundry room made this a good stop for our family after several weeks at anchor. Derek at the fuel dock was incredibly helpful upon our arrival, helping with lines as we pulled into our slip, providing all the information we needed to get around the marina or travel around town, and helping us with pump out. He was also very nice to my kids as they peppered him with questions. Great stop, and we can see why it can be hard to get a spot there!

This is a well organized marina with exactly what a transient or long term visitor could ask for: easy pump out, quick fuel service, clean facilities, saltwater pool … you name it. We look forward to returning to this marina in the future.

It was difficult getting in and out of the dock. Location has nothing within walking distance. Pool was far away from the docs. We had to leave 1 night earlier bc was absolutely nothing to do there.

Marathon Marina was great. Very accommodating when we arrived after hours. Cindy was very helpful and helped sort everything out. Would definitely come back to them next time.

Very bad experience. Still going on. Made a reservation on 28th July, to come in 29th, paid one day. Cancelled next morning due to heart problem, confirmed cancellation on telephone. Was told I would be charged one day. Fine. Then, I was charged two more days, total of three. $129 plus $258, after cancellation. The charge goes to Daniel Land, (702)250-1013. I called him. Quite rude, and slurred, finally admitted he was with Safe Harbor, and someone would call me back. Noone did. Since then, I have called Safe Harbor Marathon, formerly Marathon Marina, daily. i have spoken to three different people, all of whom “took” my information and said someone would call me back. Today, I have called three times, and left a message. This is not a good business situation. One employee said they have been having problems since bought out by the Safe Harbor group. Another had me hold on while she went to check to find the records. I urge you to be careful in any transactions with this company. 457pm 8/3/2021 I just got off the phone once again with Safe Harbor Marathon. I was able to reach them using a friends phone. I learned that they are having problems. They do not process credit cards, they are foing through a company names DOCKWA that actually processes the cards, and thus they have no way yet to refund unauthorized charges. They are understaffed, and are having other problems. Their office phone is (305) 743-6575.

Great stop, friendly service at the ships store, decent priced diesel, easy tie up to older fixed docks. Really good Resturant! Overall a great stop!

We stayed here for a week. This was our second time here - last year for only 1 night. Great amenities -laundry, small gym, etc... All super clean. We did not need to use the shower facilities. We were on the fixed dock section - the docks are all in great shape. Pump out at every slip is handy. Really helpful and nice staff. Other marina guests were also very friendly - there's a really great vibe at this marina. Our slip had a terrific view of the sunset. Close to a bus stop for the Keys Loop. While a bit pricey for a 1 week stay, we would definitely come back!

Susan and her team are AWESOME! New floating docks! Nice exercise room and comfy captains lounge with big screen and satellite. Clean shower rooms and nice laundry facilities. Good WiFi. Also nice that it was spitting distance from 5 great restaurants. We will be back!

We came to Marathon Marina and RV as a stop over to the Bahamas. Due to weather and boat work we stayed a month. The staff in the marina office made it work so we could stay. We made friends and spent Thanksgiving with the residents. It is like being welcomed into a family. The facilities are clean and convenient. Everyone is helpful. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

This is the best marina we have ever stayed at! The staff is friendly and professional. The property is maintained really well. We are delighted to be a part of the Marathon Marina family!!

Beautiful Marina, location is great! The staff very helpful, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was one we would never forget. If you are in the Keys rather by land or water you must stop at Marathon Marina.

Just reopened after Irma. Debbie, the wonderful dock master whose warm personality and supreme service orientation complement the attractive and upgraded physical plant, deserves accolades and kudos!
