Fishers Island Yacht Club offers a friendly, fully staffed marina with plenty of transient dockage. The club is pleased to extend to its guests the privilege of using some member-only spaces such as our covered veranda that opens onto a lovely waterfront lawn where picnic tables and a large charcoal grill are available. Likewise, marina guests may use our showers and heads. Uses of other FIYC spaces can be arranged on advance request.
The Marina is centrally located and makes a great starting point to explore a bit of this quiet picturesque island. Everything from the ice cream shop, bike rentals, and the museum plus a grocery store, deli, and restaurant are within easy walking distance. Fuel is located right next door. FIYC also offers vessels 26' and under temporary dockage for a few hours.
Sit back and relax in the cockpit to watch the sunset and gathering dusk across our truly beautiful and tranquil harbor. No neon signs here!

This was are summer YACHT CLUB cruise Traveled with seven boats , Staff ,very rude Made stay very uncomfortable will not be returning
We are very sorry that we chose to stay at Fishers Island Yacht Club. They took our yacht clubs reservation during COVID 19 and did not say a word about restrictions. Two days before we were to begin our clubs 10 day cruise, they sent an email saying that due to COVID the bathrooms would be locked, and that we were being asked not to leave the very small property (no dining facilities on premises, no pool, no amenities). We called ahead to ask them if this was true considering we were from the same state and not mandated for a quarantine. They said it is just a request for us to stay on premises, but there was no enforcement. Once we arrived, the staff could not have been more rude and condescending to the members of our club. They continuously scolded us like children about not leaving the property and one of the staff encountered us at an outside restaurant and loudly and rudely scolded our friend for leaving the property in front of all of the patrons at the restaurant. COVID is serious and restrictions are appropriate when based in science. As a health care worker these rules were absolutely not based on any science, nor embraced by businesses outside of the yacht club. In any case, it is never ok to be rude to guests. Do yourself a favor and stay in Mystic instead!
After docking we were informed we could not leave the marina premises due to Covid restrictions. The dock hand said he called everyone to tell them this. We did not get the call. What is most frustrating, is both Dockwa and FIYC confirmed my reservation without notifying me of the restriction. Is is too much trouble to but a notice on the website or say something in the two confirmations? I guess so. We were told we could order dinner from a local restaurant and they would bring it to us. But the restaurant's website was down. We were told the rest rooms and showers were closed for the year. They did kindly make an exception for us, but gave us the wrong combination to the door so we couldn't use them after all. They did give us a 20% discount on the bill, but double charged my credit card in the end. Maybe next year :(
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are clearly dedicated to ensuring their guests have the best possible experience and they openly share their love of this very unique island. The facilities are very well maintained and the setting is tranquil and beautiful.
Very quiet post Columbus Day. Dock master called us the day before with harbor details as docks unmanned. Only restaurant open thus time of the year was the Legionnaires Post. Good pizza and drinks, what else did we need? Mind the buoys in and out. We draw 7 feet, got stuck for 10 minutes on the way out. Mud bottom, so no big deal. Beautiful old fashioned harbor and island. Will make a longer visit next summer.
Excellent experience. Nice facilities. Plenty of help at the dock and easy to get to. Thanks
We found the club staff to be very helpful and responsive. The facilities were current and neat, and we'll certainly be back.
Always helpful and they do call you back when you hail them during a busy time.
Great spot - super staff and best showers yet. Floating docks would have been nice.
Courteous staff and updated heads made for a pleasant stay.
We came to FIYC from Dodsons in Stonington and the contrast was stark. If I never meet the young dock hand, again it’ll be too soon. His attitude soured the experience from the get go. Grudgingly courteous, he lacked warmth, hospitality, and good manners. He had the gall to comment upon my wife’s degree of participation during docking. I suspect he is well thought of by the FIYC members since he was attentive to them. That’s not a bad thing in and of itself, but he essentially encouraged a member to buzz the dock a few times in a jet boat, which caused a wake. Lincoln White, the dockmaster was very helpful, after the fact. The market was worth the long walk. I’d say the marina is trying to gain positive cash flow for the yacht club, but for someone without friends on the island, it would be better if they had a few moorings and a dingy Dock. I won’t go back unless I’m visiting someone on the island.
Had a great experience, staff was very polite and helpful. Facilities were neat and clean.
super nice setting, helpful and friendly staff, excellent value, good communication
Ian was awesome. Thanks for getting us out of the slip in that heavy wind!!!
Friendly, gracious, very pleasant and quiet.
This is our second year coming to FIYC and looking forward to next year. They have a great staff, Ian was great from the minute he helped us when we arrived and was always checking with us during our stay to see if we needed anything. When Lincoln greeted us first things he asked was how did his guys do with our arrival. Would highly recommend
Area is beautiful and yacht club personnel great. Excellent wi-fi
Great spot. Very quiet. Lincoln is extremely accommodating. Love this place
The staff was very friendly, faculties were clean and we were so happy to have been able to stay at FIYC! Loved our time on Fishers!
For such a beautiful island, the Yacht Club is third rate. Docks ate old, hard to find electric hook ups that worked, docks not lighted at night. It would be easy to fall in without a flash light. The staff was rude, never telling us the code for the showers and heads. At 11:30 the day of check out they practically threw us out say larger boats were coming, but that didn’t happen. Find a different marina to spend your money.
A great quiet spot at the dock. Fun places within walking distance, even an IGA well stocked grocery store!
Clean facilities. Clear instructions via radio for docking. Attentive and friendly staff. I’d return without hesitation!
Nice, quiet club. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Staff not overly helpful. Fixed docks on pilings. Facilities were disgusting.
We had several issues with the club, but overall it was a reasonable two night stay. First I think their summary on Dockwa needs to be updated: 1) The entire property closes at 5. If you arrive later, you will have no idea where you should tie up. 2) Docks are fixed/non floating and they do not provide fender boards. 3) They are unreasonable on trash/recycling. I went to put recycling in containers and was told I needed to sort ON MY BOAT BEFORE BRINGING to trash. Also - I was told that a single empty wine bottle had to be put in a plastic bag (so add more plastic???). 4) Dockhands had attitude. One in particular was down-right disrespectful. 5) There is only one public restaurant on the entire island!!! In general, we got the feeling that we weren't really wanted at the YC or on the island. Therefore I will not be returning again.
Great location and accommodating staff. Couldn’t have been easier to make reservations, dock the boat and enjoy a beautiful night. Thanks!
Great service & support at a well-run, friendly & welcoming club/marina. This is a quiet venue but a real gem.
FIYC staff very nice,, stay relaxing!
Very good as usual at this marina
We stayed two nights on our 36 foot sailboat over the July 4 weekend. Our yacht club from Connecticut held a picnic at FIYC. Everyone had a great time. The staff are facilities at FIYC are excellent.
Fishers Island is a special place and so is the quaint Fishers Island Yacht Club. Everything you need is here on a smaller scale than some of the bigger stopping points. Everything is in walking distance (there is one restaurant, one deli, and one great ice cream store.) The staff is very nice and they work hard to be sure you have what you need. The highlight for us was getting cooked lobsters and scallops delivered to our boat! We could become regulars...
Terrific very quaint and quiet which for us was perfect. Very nice people
Very comfortable dockage. Manager was great assisting over the phone with details.
Nice spot. Quiet and peaceful. Fixed docks were a little difficult for getting off and on. Lincoln the GM was awesome with communications and tying us up. Nice clean showers and restrooms. Recommended.
Could not be more accommodating: caught lines and gave directions to a “mooring” guy coming into a slip. Had to extend our stay 2 nights and there was no problem. Great spot!
Lovely harbor, well-protected marina/yacht club, very clean and remodeled rest rooms/showers, and a quaint family-oriented restaurant a short walk away. Friendly staff met us at our slip for docking assistance, but then (5 pm) closed up/locked up, and left the premises before giving us rest room unlock key or WiFi password. Would definitely go back again.
This was our first time at Fishers Island. The yacht club and marina are absolutely beautiful. It was completely relaxing. We loved the great little beach and the easy walk into town. The bathrooms and showers were spotless! Will absolutely be back!!
Clean facilities. Beautiful island. Great museum.
Ian and QP could not have been more helpful. Beautiful island and marina. Highly encourage you to visit.
Great people and showers/restrooms. Wifi has almost zero range and could be improved.
A great service and beautiful location.
Rebecca and crew couldn't have been more professional. Fantastic new facilities.
Will go back. Only drawback was no trash service. WiFi week at end of dock, but able to log on close to club house. Free bikes great way to see island. Would have been nice to get a map of island with location of ice cream store, market and resturants provided.
Great visit, very gracious and helpful staff, brand new Clubhouse and restrooms, showers etc. Will definitely go back again.
Great facility, very helpful staff
Great small facility. Staff most responsive and accommodating.
Very Quiet place and friendly people
Great destination. Very nice facility with friendly professional staff, but heads and showers were very dirty.
Amazing place! Came here for the first time last weekend and the staff was wonderful at getting us through the channel and docked. My husband and I had cooked lobsters delivered right to our boat, then went to the Pequot inn for some drinks. Bathrooms could be nicer, but the harbor was beautiful! They even gave us access to the members-only clubhouse to watch tv and check email. We will definitely be back soon!
Great staff. Nice dock
A great place to stop en route from Shelter Island to Newport. Small yacht club, but with a lot of charm. Quaint village a short walk away.
excellent could have not been better their staff is awesome
