The staff and members are always very pleasant and welcoming. The club's buffet dinner on Friday evenings was excellent. The launch always responds promptly and are happy to take you to the club or over to Northport. It has always been a very enjoyable experience visiting Centerport YC.
The facility is very good and the staff wonderfully responsive. Two criticisms: 1. The music played in the pool area could be heard on the dock.and was annoying. 2. There was a great deal of floating debris in the Basin and around the docks.
The staff were pleasant and tried to be helpful. However, they made an error.on our reservation dates even though we had a confirming email. The club us closed.on Monday, our arrival day so we lost several hours straightening out where we would be.moored. Only the launch driver was on duty and he was overwhelmed. The club has no showers or laundry facilities and the wifi was not working. It is a cute club but deficient in too many areas for cruisers.
A delightful club with a welcoming staff in a beautiful location.
The dock staff and the restaurant personnel were very pleasant and helpful. I did send an email requesting some service work which was acknowledged but then I.was never contacted. Even if the staff didn't have the time to do the work they could have let me know.
Harbormaster was very helpful and the new showers and boaters lounge were pleasant. From the harbormaster dock it is a short walk to Main St. and excellent shops and restaurants.
The staff very pleasant to deal with and accommodated us when the weather turned bad and we requested to extend our stay. We will certainly request moorings with them again.
The ducks are well maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. However, there was no hot water in the shower. After 15 minutes it was tepid at best. They have also eliminated their courtesy van service which was one of the reasons I selected this Marina even though it is a mle and a half from downtown. For cost, I was disappointed.
The Dockmaster was very helpful and provided excellent information. Without a car it is a long walk into Kittery but for an overnight stop, it is terrific. The mooring was a little tricky to find but the basin was far better protected than I had expected and better than the next cove east which is wide open to boat wakes. I will stay at KPYY again.
A well protected harbor and a very friendly and accommodating Harbormaster & staff. The new Harbormaster building is a huge improvement and the launch service is convenient and responsive.
The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The day we arrived there was a strong, gusty SW wind and the harbor was rough. The staff found a different mooring than the one to which we had been assigned that provided somewhat more protection. Their facilities are clean and very well maintained. My only suggestion would be for the launches to be operated more slowly, particularly at night since they throw a good size wake and can really rock your boat when they pass close by.
The facility was not up to the standards of DiMillo's in Portland, ME. The dock staff was courteous and helped with our lines when we arrived. He was not monitoring Ch 71 but happened to be standing on the dock when we arrived. From the river there is absolutely no DiMillo signage and with the staff not monitoring the VHF it was a guess as to which docks were theirs. The docks were well maintained with adequate access to power and water. When asked about a pump-out the dock staff said that DiMillo's had no facilities and at first did not know where we might have this taken care of. Then he recommended Chic's for both a pump-out and for fuel. It did occur to me that I might have been better off staying at Chic's in the first place. The most disappointing was the condition of the shore bathroom and shower. It had been nicely remodeled but it was filthy with mud and water all over the floor. On day one I assumed that it was simply a discourteous customer but on day two it was just as bad if not worse. When I mentioned to the dock staff that the bathroom was very dirty he replied that he had not been in it over the two days we were moored there. The morning of our departure I went ashore and checked, it was still filthy. Needless to say, we showered on our boat. There were other little things like the security gate that did not lock properly and could easily be pulled open without use of the code and a big buildup of seaweed and grass along the entire length of my hull which I had to clear before departing so that my thruster did not get fouled. At a charge of $5 per foot per night DiMillo's in Kennebunk was not worth the price. I doubt I will stay there again and I certainly will not recommend it to others. We selected the facility because of the DiMillo name and our past good experience at their facility in Portland. Kennebunk did not come close to measuring up to that standard. Tom Olson on Mulligan
