Terrific location to start your exploration of the Thousand Islands. Love, love, love the town and totally worth the stop. One washer/dryer located in the ladies room. $3/wash. Very clean showers with free towels. Could get rolly based on wind conditions, so check conditions before coming in. Great stop.if planning to do the Thousand Islands.
Lockmasters on the Oswego are simply terrific! We stayed on the free wall between locks 7 and 8 for one night. Very well protected, cleats or rings available. There is some downtown activity but we never felt unsafe or threatened. Lots of room on the walls; the first section you come to is in better shape than the second. Use plenty of fenders. We went into the marina the next day for laundry, but had it not been my lack of clean clothes, we would have waited out the weather there while waiting to cross the lake.
Had a terrific stay here. It is a boatyard primarily, so be prepared for that and there are lots of commercial fisherman. Everyone is so friendly. Inexpensive laundry, easy walking distance to the historic fort and to the downtown. I would stay again.
So enjoyed my time here! Donation only. Free water. 120/110 power available. Clean restroom facilities. Cute town. Unfortunately, the courtesy 48 hour limit is not enforced so the wall can become overcrowded quickly by those just 'hanging out'.
Excellent marina and service! Kim is wonderful!! We had a small repair needed for a generator and she had someone out the next day and it was resolved speedily at a reasonable price. Very looper friendly! Excellent rates. No laundry on site but there is a courtesy car that you can use to go to the grocery, out to eat, the Laundromat. Highly, highly recommend them and will definitely stay again!
Stayed here one evening waiting for the flight of five. $10 to stay plus $5 if you want the restroom or shower. Power is available and worked well for us. Floating docks in good shape. Easy walk to a small town where we enjoyed a late lunch. Would stay again.
We stayed on the free wall for one evening. Wall is quite protected, in a quiet area. Nice green space that you can walk around. No amenities but these were not missed. There is a bit of train noise but it did not bother us. We felt very safe here.
The good: Half Moon is conveniently located to so many things and there is a lot of great sightseeing in the area. Enterprise is about 1/2 mile from the marina and it is an easy walk on a sidewalk the entire way. There are several restaurants that are reasonably priced in the area also within a short walk. There was also a great charcuterie store that I wanted to check out but did not make it. The dock master, Steve, is very pleasant and tries to make things as hospitable as possible. There are no laundry facilities, but a laundromat is apparently a short Uber or drive away. The not so good: The docks are floating but need some serious reinforcement and updates. Many of the cleats are bolted to only one board that is weathered. In a Northwest to West wind it is very rough in the marina. There is a seawall/breakwater but it is not adequate in northwest winds. A squall came through one evening when we were there. There were three foot breaking waves over the docks and the docks looked like someone was shaking them. One boat broke off. Several dock boxes were damaged by anchors that 'crashed' into them in the storm. Our boat did not suffer any damage only because we stood outside fending off the dock the entire time. And before anyone asks, we were tied up quite securely with plenty of fenders. Unfortunately, because of this we decided to leave early. After much debate, we did finally receive a refund for part of our unused days. It did take me contacting Dockwa to get the refund processed. Bottom line: We would not stay here again if there was any chance of unfavorable winds. I would stay in Great Kills to do the New York side of things and then go to Rondout to do things like Westpoint, CIA, Bannerman, ect.
One of the best protected marinas on the Hudson! Easy distance to town, clean bathrooms, good laundry. Terrific staff. So happy we stopped here and actually extended our stay as we had such a good time.
Great stay while waiting for a weather window to cross from Cape May. Very friendly staff. Laundry in great shape.
Very nice staff. In slip pump out. Floating docks. A good staging area for Atlantic trip to Sandy Hook or beyond. Not particularly safe area
Mooring balls were in excellent shape and very reasonably priced. Will definitely stay again!!
This was our second stay at Worton Creek. If you are in need of a full service marina, this marina cannot be beat. Wonderful staff, great rates, and consistently reliable service staff. Thank you again for helping us out!
What a great stay! When you enter the marina, the very capable staff will grab your lines and pivot your boat as the current is quite extreme in this area. They were simply wonderful! A cute marina with a few herb garden for transients, and they hosted a wonderful briefing for crossing the bay in the evening. Great rates, good laundry room, clean restrooms. Had a great stay and a wonderful time here. We will be back!
We had a week long stay here in Baltimore, a city we were so excited to visit. First, the staff was terrific. Great floating docks. Some construction going on, but nothing problematic. A large lounge to read or visit in. Adequate restrooms with showers. Laundry was reasonably priced. The problem: there is an insect problem, namely midges. They are everywhere. You would wash them off the boat, and they would be back an hour later. You would walk off the boat and be swarmed. They would leave a green discharge on everything. Now, this is not the Marina's fault. But there are eradication programs that the city could implement. We left early, despite having paid for a week, and unfortunately will not be back until they can get the insects under control. It was quite uncomfortable.
Wonderful experience! Great staff, friendly folks, clean facilities. Would be a great place to meet friends as they also have an inn on site. Easy walking distance to town and the museum. 2 restrooms with private showers. No laundry. Will certainly stay again when I'm the area!
Excellent all around! We have stayed here twice now, and we will certainly be back! Terrific staff, wonderful amenities, great restaurant on site, FREE laundry, shuttle to grocery store. I have always had great experiences at Safe Harbors, but by far, Zahniser's leads the way. I only wish you all were closer to where our 'home base' is going to be when we are done with the loop! thanks for being a great place for us!
actually ended up extending because of some weather issues. marina was great about helping us out and extending our stay. they recommended someone to help with some maintenance who did a great job. Clean marina. Laundry room has one washer and dryer in great shape, $2 to wash or dry. There is a swimming pool on site, but we did not use it. No restaurant on site, but we enjoyed the peace and quiet. would certainly return! There is a delivery pizza place which is great and Instacart delivered groceries and pet supplies for us. Good lending library and lounge for boaters. Great little marina with friendly staff and residents....will certainly stay again if in the area!!
This was our second stay at Tidewater. Absolutely wonderful staff. Nice floating docks. Laundry room clean and spacious, with well functioning dryers. $3/to wash or dry per load. Numerous historical sites, restaurants and shops within walking distance and Olde Towne Portsmouth right there. Restaurant on site is quite good. Will stay again!!
April 2026: This was our second stay at Carolina Beach. We had a small generator issue and needed to go into the marina unexpectedly. Larry went out of his way to help us and accommodate us on short notice. Balls remain in great shape. Marina slips terrific. Great pricing. Fun town! Will be back! October 2025: Excellent condition of mooring balls. Easy and good access to two dinghy docks. Will definitely come again!
First visit: October2025: Excellent marina and staff! Very helpful during docking, fueling and and pump-out. We received a package here without any difficulties and the marina has a dedicated package pickup for slip holders / transients. Clean showers and restrooms. 2 washers / dryers in laundry area, approx $2 to wash and $2 to dry. Easy walking distance to town. Totally will return! Our second stay was in April 2026. Staff consistently helpful and friendly with excellent assistance during docking. Unfortunately, we were placed on the fuel dock for our stay and the wakes were quite bad. One was severe enough that it causes gelcoat damage on our swim platform. This is a marked no wake zone, but is obviously disregarded by many boaters. The wakes even woke us up at night. We still enjoy the marina and city, but will only stay again if we can have an inside slip.
Great experience! Private marina, with easy access to several restaurants, stores and Beaufort downtown. Our second stay here and will stay again. They are always friendly, have a great boaters lounge, and are easy to get along with. Free loaner car for local trips. Bikes available. Wash is free, to dry $2.50. Very reasonable rates for the area! Thanks for a great stay.
Great staff and wonderful location. Staff went out of their way to help us. Once I left my wallet on the boat and they mailed it back to me overnight mail and one other time we had contractors on the boat and a small electrical issue occured and they came over, fixed it, and checked everything in the boat to make sure all was well. They went above and beyond. Tons of walking and biking paths and several restaurants on site and even more close by. Easy bike ride.to the beach. Reasonable rates for location. The only downside is the depths; at low tide you need to turn your AC off as the water is too shallow to run. I do hear that a dredge project is scheduled for 10/26-2/27 so this will likely be improved. We would stay again!
We could not have asked for a better experience! Great staff, wonderful slips, clean laundry with new washers and dryers ($3 / load for wash, $3 / dry), large restroom / shower facilities. It was too cold to use the pool, but the area is nice, large, and clean. Most importantly, the staff went out of their way to help us out when we had to change reservations. We will be back and I highly recommend them!
