Always a great stop that supports a fantastic organization.
Our favorite stop on the East Coast. For the cost of a slip (same price or cheaper than the local competition) you get a very nice facility managed by a great dock crew. But in addition you get access to the Seaport Museum and 24-hour access to the Museum grounds. It is truly wonderful to explore the grounds at sunset and to see the Morgan regally lit at night. And you're supporting the non-profit Museum. Win-win-win.
Inner harbor moorings protected and convenient to town. Launch prompt and friendly. Morning traffic by the watermen wasn't an issue - minimal disturbance.
Good moorings, well spaced. Friendly dock folks and launch drivers. Located convenient to town.
Good moorings, appropriately sized and spaced. Prompt and friendly launch service.
Quick and clear communication including a map of the mooring field and a list of local resources and contact information. Mooring appeared in good condition and appropriately sized. Even though we were on their most exposed mooring due to our size we had a very peaceful evening once the weekend traffic abated.
They have turned the simple experience of reserving a mooring into an art. When we made out request we noted the size of our boat and our concern about the predicted wether. Sara at Triad responded with a selection of moorings in the harbor we could choose from. For each she provided details of the ground tackle on the mooring and the exact lat/lon to help finding it. After reviewing the options we went with her suggested mooring and had a comfortable and confident night. We will definitely be back.
Unique spot on Rocky Neck. New docks in excellent shape. Dockmaster Brian met us and got us well settled. Nice to have some of our boating dollars go to the worthwhile cause of this organization. Good park for dog walking 1/2 mile away.
Nice secure harbor. Good mooring. Pleasant and prompt launch service.
Nice marina, great folks, easy access from the ICW. A bit remote from town but that should be much less of an issue when the restaurant opens this summer. (That'll make this a 5-star facility.)
Great folks and a great facility with free ice, free laundry, loaner car and no doubt other stuff I've forgotten.
Easy in/out. Very nice face dock. Friendly and helpful staff and their dining room food exceeded expectations.
Good mooring, great views, great service (greeted by the launch on arrival). The field is exposed to a lot of rock and roll from boats going by Newport (quiets down at night).
Well-run operation. Moorings are a very good value for the money. Free pumpout boat (call early in the morning to get on the list). Reservations via Dockwa strongly recommended; depending on your size you may get a mooring without a reservation but they'll want you to have a Dockwa account to bill. They could use a dinghy dock 2-3 times as large as the current one.
Old marina was downright scary. We never bothered to come to Chestertown in 20 years on the Bay. The new marina is small but superb. Great docks very well maintained. Brand new shower and laundry facilities. The entire town is pet-friendly and walkable. 1/2 block to a VERY nice waterfront park. 1/2 block to historic residential district. 2 blocks to downtown. Once of the friendliest and most professional interactions I've had with a marina. Sam knows her stuff and was great helping with the reservation, getting us docked and settled in, and educating us on what the town had to offer. We'll be back.
