We are never disappointed when we stay at Safe Harbor or Oxford. Dockmaster Jeff is one of the best on the bay. Wonderful facility with a swimming pool and the cleanest restrooms around. We will be back many more times!
Have stayed here several times. It never disappoints. Great dockhands, excellent facilities, terrific pool, wonderful on-site restaurant and I love walking the docks and looking at other boats. Always a fun stop.
First time back to Great Oak Landing in 3 years. Safe Harbor has purchased it in the meantime. Several of the docks have been upgraded to floating docks with apparent plans to convert the remainder of the marina, including the transients, in the future. Great facilities.
Had a wonderful stay. Carl is a great dock master. He responded to all my phone calls about concerns with the channel depths since we were arriving at low tide. An interesting drawbridge at the entrance to the Blynman Canal to say the least! Lots of boats in the marina with a fairly industrial feel. A nice place to stay in Gloucester.
The marina office was closed the day we arrived but we still received a phone call that morning with our mooring assignment. Nice facility. Clean restrooms. Good showers. Short walk or dinghy ride to town. Very quiet. Would stay there again.
Beautiful resort location. Great dockhand to assist with tie-up. Showers and restrooms are very good and close by. Resort has everything- pool, restaurants, you name it. They even have free courtesy cars you can drive into Portsmouth. A great place to stay.
I cannot speak highly enough about Safe Harbor Rockland. Chris, the dockmaster, and Melvin, the #1 seasoned dockhand, are absolutely incredible. From the moment they tie you up, they are constantly asking if there is anything else they can do. Melvin would stop by the boat several times a day to check on us and see if there was anything we needed. The showers are some of the best we’ve seen. They include towel, floor mats, personal products and are impeccably clean. There’s no charge to use the washers and dryers which is the first we’ve seen in our cruising days. It is a short walk into town which is nice for the exercise and it is also much quieter there than the marinas on the town docks. And if you don’t want to walk they have courtesy cars which are one year old Ford Explorers. I wish I had a car that nice. They are getting ready to do a major expansion of this marina and I would encourage everyone to consider it if they’re staying in Rockland. Totally a first class operation!
We received our mooring assignment through a message on Dockwa ahead of time. Never talked to anyone when we arrived. Mooring relatively easy to find. Never went ashore so I’m not sure what the facilities were like. Cute little harbor
Lovely stay at this marina. Dockhands available on arrival to help tie up. Well maintained marina. Only one shower in the mens room which was very clean. Location is great. Literally steps from House of Seven Gables and downtown is also walkable. Salem is a fun place to visit.
Extremely nice marina. Very small and a little pricey but if you can get in it is definitely worth it. Very tight channel in the river during the approach. We were met by 2 excellent dockhands who were very efficient. The facilities were impeccable. Great floating docks, beautiful main office and store, spotless restrooms/showers and a convenient laundry. They even have a shuttle to run you into town if you want (also an easy walk). We’ll worth the visit.
Great location in the center of downtown Portland. Excellent dockhands to help with the tie-up in a busy marina and harbor. Facilities are good. Clean showers. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
During our trip to Maine from the Chesapeake Bay we left our boat for 2 weeks in Boston while we went home to take care of some business. Jason is the dockmaster at Boston Harbor Shipyard and is truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived and needed to refuel he was on the radio giving us guidance and instructions. He met the boat at our slip and helped get her tied up. He recommended a mechanic to take care of an issue we were having and also knew of a diver to clean our prop. He followed and made sure everything was taken care of. He answered the innumerable questions we had about the marina and couldn't have been more professional. He's also tireless - all day long we saw him flying up and down the pier in his golf cart taking care of issues. The marina is a little weathered, showers are clean but could use an update, but Jason alone is a reason to stay here. We've been to 20 marinas so far this summer and seen plenty of good dockmasters but Jason stands head and shoulders above them all.
Lovely little marina. We came in with the wind blowing 25-30 kn IN the marina! The harbormaster was awesome - she came running down to help grab lines and secure the boat. Lovely little town with nice restaurants on the water. A wonderful stay.
Had a great stay at SH Plymouth. Great dockhand assistance on a windy day. Facilities were very good. Restaurant on site is good also. Downtown Plymouth is right there, a good place to visit.
