Outstanding location, nice facilities with friendly staff - the best location in Boothbay. This was a return visit for us and once again we are very pleased and stayed a few extra days to enjoy this dog friendly community. A great location with easy access to everything in this charming community. Kim is most helpful - we planned to stay for a couple of days and decided to spend a week. Difficult to depart such a convenient and friendly location. This was our third visit and we look forward to returning to our favorite small marina!
Wentworth is a first class marina - among the best quality docks we have discovered on our cruise up/down the east coast. The resort offers a full menu of amenities - spa, exercise room, pool, etc. This is a great location for a few days of relaxation on a cruise. We found the fairway between C & D docks to be narrow - we are 37 feet and found little space to maneuver - plan your docking carefully. The restrooms and laundry were fine but the mens showers up from D dock reminded me of a high school gym - no privacy.
Our third visit and we will return - great well-protected location with professional staff. Great location in Buzzards Bay for a layover prior to heading to Maine. Facilities for heads, showers and laundry are convenient and first rate. Very professional dock and yard staff - completed oil changes for both main engine and genset on prior visit. Good restaurant on-site and very nice local stores nearby. Excellent stop for a layover.
The club's hospitality and facility was wonderful. We enjoyed three days visiting with friends and walking this friendly village. The club has limited transient dockage available but we highly recommend this location - plan ahead.
We stopped at Half Moon both on our way up to Lake Chaplain and on our return voyage down the Hudson. The nearby train station and rental car office made it a convenient location to visit nearby friends and NYC. The marina is located in a bay with a wave wall that limits wind and wave action from the river. This is an important feature not enjoyed by many marinas along the river. Shoreside facilities are shared with the private workout room but the heads and showers are limited but clean. The walking and biking trail along the shore provides an opportunity to get some exercise. We found Steve, the manager, to be very helpful and made he very effort to make certain we had a nice stay at this marina.
Basin Harbor added all new dock space a couple of years ago and can now accommodate a few larger power and sailboats on a section of the new floatingndocks. This historic resort is a first rate family location but we found everything to be just as nice for adults. The restaurants were excellent and we enjoyed our visit to the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum - great way to catch up the history of Lake Champlain. We took a side trip on our dinghy up Otter Creek to Vergennes. The trip up the creek was enjoyable but the destination was a disappointment. The falls are dramatic but the docks were old and partially on shore due to low water. We walked to town for ice cream and a few groceries. We were happy we took the dinghy rather than planned to stay in our boat. Only issue at Basin Harbor was bathroom for boaters - only one limited location that was shared with the waterfront. Modern fixtures but difficult to shave and shower floor had sand from the beach. They need to add a dedicated bath/shower for boaters to be considered first class. We enjoyed our visit and recommend this location.
Museum is worth a visit during your stay - the models are amazing. Part of facility is under construction and will vastly improve shoreside restrooms and showers. This will upgrade our rating. Dockmaster was very experienced and helpful - one of the few dock people that could actually cleat a line.

Our fist time at this marina and we will return. Excellent dock and boatyard staff - we took the opportunity to have the oil and filters changed. Very professional and careful mechanic. Restaurant on site was better than expected and we enjoyed several dinners. Also a great location with numerous shops in the neighborhood.
