Best mooring field on the AICW.
Excellent amenities, facilities, and probably the best boater community we’ve experienced. Owners encourage the culture with happy hours and almost daily activities. We were quite secure and protected during this recent east coast storm. Historic Brunswick is a very short walk with restaurants, a brewer, distillery, shops, and a local live theatre. Great place to leave your boat to travel.
Great family focused marina. Pool/baths excellent. Welcoming staff.
Mooring balls are well-maintained and easy on/off. Dinghy dock secure in the marina. Bath/shower good. Great location right in town!
Just a lovely marina in a beautiful place. You can bike all around the island or borrow one of the golf carts. Beautiful beaches within walking distance. On-site restaurant is a great place to watch the sunset over the marina, nice clean facilities, pool. Staff/dockhands are fantastic - watched them haul in half a dozen boats in 30 knot gusts like pros!
All around excellent and beautiful town to visit. Easy walk into town with many restaurants to choose from (and don't miss out on the fresh donuts from The Corner Bakery), or cross the bridge near the marina for another gorgeous residential area. Nice protected small marina, deep water approach, helpful staff, quiet at night. Anyone cruising the Eastern Shore has got to stop here.
Has a lot of potential with a premier location for exploring historic Portsmouth and Norfolk, but facilities in poor condition with no apparent interest in improving. The dockhands and staff were friendly, helpful, and worked hard to make the best, but I don't think they are given the resources needed. We had to be there several weeks and during the entire time the WiFi didn't work, pool closed, no pumpout or diesel, no carts to bring supplies from the parking lot, bathrooms dated and need of repair. We were put on fixed dock because of our beam and pilings were broken from rot and left laying on the dock. I think the floating docks are in much better shape and newer. Overall quite overpriced and I would only return for a few nights to explore the area and only if assigned a spot on a floating dock.
Very clean and great facilities (would be nice to have more than one washer/dryer). Staff very helpful, especially when coming in with the tricky currents and winds they were a tremendous help. Lovely area for taking the dog for a walk.
