Just awesome! Brand new super fancy docks, great staff, sparkly clean washrooms and an absolutely fantastic Museum! Hope to come back later this summer.

Very nice marina! So glad they made room for us this weekend. Staff is super friendly and the little restaurant on the island, Sirene, has one of the best lobster rolls you find in New England. The town is very nice and we always make the walk up to Essex Pottery to see what Master Potter Einhorn is up to.
Mystic Downtown Marina is a gem! You are staying right in historical Mystic. One of the best pastry bakeries on the the east coast, Sift, run by Adam Young is a few hundred yards away. The river is very calm and currents are modest. You can easily go up mystic river with a dinghy or paddeboards to Mystic Seaport. The dockmaster, Brian, is exceptionally kind and helpful. Showers and restrooms are nice and clean. We have been staying a couple of weekends each summer and hope to be back later this season again.
Nice well protected marina. Modern docks. Very nice food in the sawmill restaurant. No gas , diesel or pump-out so plan accordingly but its a great stop going up or down lake champlain or as an end destination on a trip up Lake Champlain canal.
Second time we stayed at Donovan’s this season. Its such a great Marina. You always get well taken care of. Bathrooms and showers are nice and clean but best of all is the restaurant. Its worth a detour or an extra stop just to have dinner at the Boathouse Grill. Reservations are recommended. Its a very popular restaurant in the summer
Fantastic place. Absolutely stunning view over Manhattan. Super calm water. Very well sorted store. Highly recommended as a destination for a cruise in NE. Hint. Time it and go through Harlem river to get there. The most tranquil place on Manhattan.
Donovans is a great place to stop. The staff if very nice and helpful. The regulars are welcoming and the place is clean and nice. We like it as starting point for upstate trips since we trailer our little Albin trawler and they have a great ramp and good parking. And best of all, they have a very nice restaurant on site, Boathouse Grill, with a great patio overlooking the Hudson and nicely prepared food. Don’t miss out on the sweet and hot calamari with the fancy sweet drop fruits.
Really nice location inside the very busy NJ harbor. Can be a bit rocky at times when tugs are going by but the upside is the free marine show when a swarm of tugs turns a large container ship around right in front of you. We loved it. Restrooms and showers are very nice. The docks are new and the property is shielded by high end apartments and is gated. The owner is new and have not yet figured out how to run it so its hard to communicate with them by phone or Dockwa but I would assume that will resolve itself soon. They have recently hired an office manager that was super helpful and kind. I highly recommended the place if you like to have a different experience than the “Safe Harbor” /Resort style marinas. This place is mainly a fisherman marina and the seasonal people we met were friendly and helpful. There are good places to eat within $10 uber fees. Getting an uber to Manhattan is $50-75 depending on time. Make sure you are not waiting to the last minute to book and keep texting until you get a response to make sure they are ready for you when you arrive.
Very nice and clean marina/boat yard. We were coming in late and they arranged for a reflective cone marker for our spot. Very nice and clean bathrooms/showers. Would absolutely go back next time we are in the area.
