A very rough marina for the price. Nothing on-site but the marina itself. Staff consisted of one person trying to handle everything. Would not stay again.
A beautiful resort/marina. Was our first time staying here and the staff is terrific. The general store was well stocked, bathrooms and laundry easily accessible. Beautiful beaches, areas to walk, nice restaurant, fuel. If you need to get groceries, staff will handle getting a rental car. Would definitely stay again.
April 2022 - Very nice marina, great staff. The older docks are slowly being replaced and looking much nicer. It is now Loggerhead - not Suntex. The staff do all they can to accommodate transients. April 2021-Been stopping at Suntex Marina since 2018. It is located within a beautiful gated community. Nice marina, great staff. Unfortunately, some of the docks are old and need to be updated to floating docks. The pool and lounge are terrific. Laundry area has been updated and the bathrooms as well. Plenty of areas to walk/ride bikes. Uber/Lyft is reasonably easy to get. But, if you plan to stay awhile, rent a car.
Staff was terrific. But, cost of the marina is expensive when there are absolutely no amenities. No bathrooms, no laundry, no on-site store. I understand construction/renovation taking place - then price should be dropped till construction completed and services available.
One of the nicest marinas I've been - whether in the US or Bahamas. Beautiful setting, two pools, great restaurant, terrific staff, easy 'ferry' ride from the marina to town. Fuel available.
Came into Yacht Haven Marina to ride out couple of days of bad weather. First time to Spanish Wells. Very nice marina. Staff is terrific. Has nice restaurant, laundry room ($5 a token), clean bathrooms/showers, swimming pool. No fuel. Golf carts on the premises to rent. Easy walk to the beach and around town.
Dec 2021: Thunderbolt is pretty consistent. Fortunately, had Hal as dockmaster to help with the lines and check-in. Marina is clean and neat. Easy walk to a local restaurant. Dec 2020: No change at the marina. Except the dock person was incredibly rude and obnoxious. Did not answer the radio when we called several times. Had to call by phone. Appeared ‘put out’ on helping us dock. Will consider a different marina next time. Jan 2019: same holds true on marina and staff. But, amenities need work. WiFi was awful. One dryer malfunctioning and no sign indicating. The marina office was 95% empty of drink/food items/supplies. If this is to be a full service marina, need to step up your game. We stayed at Thunderbolt for couple of days. The Marina was clean, bathrooms were clean, laundry room was clean but only one washing machine was available (other 2 were out of service). Staff very helpful. We also needed parts and service from Thunderbolt - all the personnel were wonderful. Had our parts within two days.
Dec 2021: We've stayed at Port Royal several times and the Staff are always wonderful. Always come to help with the lines - current can be a bit rough. Premises are clean and not a bad walk to a local restaurant or two. Decided to try the onsite restaurant again - Marker 244 - service is good but food is still mediocre. May 2021: Been to the marina three times and been great. Excellent staff. Had the chance to try the restaurant, Marker 244, which is on the premises. My husband loved his meal, mine was mediocre.
December 2, 2021: obviously I’ve stayed at Waterside several times and it gets better each time. Staff were terrific and extremely responsive. Three Staff members were there to help with lines, easy connection for power and water. Easy pump out. May 20, 2021: stated overnight and all good. Had been having a problem with bow thruster and we were placed along a side-tie. Worked out great. Staff was terrific. Nov 19, 2020: stayed overnight at Waterside. Staff was good. The disappointment were the new slips having only finger piers. Any boat 35’ or longer had to potentially back into a slip. Dec 16, 2019: The marina has a great location and easy walk to downtown. It is neat and maintained. Bathrooms are a walking distance but clean. I know we were coming through in December, but we stayed five days and finding any staff around to answer questions or help with lines as we left - no one around. The wifi was absolutely awful - lucky to get two bars. The only advantage is the easy walk to downtown restaurants, shopping, etc.
First time staying here. The price is high, I’ll assume due to all the amenities. For such a ‘resort’ marina, surprised the dock piers are not full length. The WiFi was touch and go. Nice areas to walk around, Beach was very nice, swimming pool was large with plenty of room. Staff were helpful. The restaurant, Ketch 22, was disappointing and would not go again.
South Jersey Marina was able to get us a slip for one night. Had no idea there was a fishing tournament and all the marinas were full. Dockage was a little tough - no floating docks, only finger piers. Staff was very good. I know it's Cape May, but the prices are very high.
First time staying at Schaefers by boat. Did an overnight as heading North and it was perfect. Tom, the harbormaster, was terrific. Could just walk from the boat up to the restaurant. Excellent food and service. Ended up staying again when our main engine water pump broke. Tom had no problem letting us stay till we got the work done.
July 2021- another stay at Regatta Point Marina (formerly Dozier's) and there have been several improvements. Additional staff who were terrific. Well maintained - bathrooms, laundry facility, outside seating and pool. I was happy to see the water fountain cleaned up and working with landscaping. The water system in adding water to your boat water tanks is unusual in that it has reverse osmosis making the water very clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Went to the Sunset Grill restaurant in Deltaville for dinner and it was very good. The only negative was the loaner vehicle. I know it's a courtesy to have one available - but this vehicle is on its last legs and I was nervous driving it. Oct 2020 - The marina is nice, clean, easy to dock. Staff are nice and helpful. Bathroom and laundry facilities were clean. Wi-fi was a problem and non-existent. There is a loaner vehicle - which is great since any stores or restaurants are a driving distance.
May 18, 2021: always a great visit to Belhaven Marina. Gregg has always been there to help and ensure our boat is safe and secure. Though the marina is small, the staff and services are terrific. 22 Dec 2019: Stopped at Belhaven for two days - heading South. Greg, the Harbormaster, is always on top of things. Very helpful, knows everything going around Town. As always, the bathrooms and laundry room are neat and clean. Yes, it would be nice to have floating docks - but what's here works. That's the only reason to give four stars rather than five. The restaurants are terrific, everyone is friendly. July 2019: We’ve been here several times and enjoy every visit. Gregg, the Harbormaster, is always terrific, helpful for anything you need. The marina continues to make improvements. No additional charge for laundry. Bathrooms are clean and maintained. Easy access to walk into Town. 26 June 2018: The marina and staff are terrific. No charge for laundry. Bathrooms were clean. Nice central area with tables and gazebo to sit and talk, meet other boaters. Easy walk to town, good diners and restaurants.
May 20, 2021: Everything was terrific. Crew that came to grab and tie our lines-great job. Dinner at the restaurant was very good. Nov 20, 2020: stayed overnight at Coinjock and everything was good. Help on tying up was terrific, considering how quickly boats were coming. Ordered take-out dinner and it was delicious. All the staff were great. July 17, 2019: The staff are always terrific. The marina is neat and clean. General store within the main office is handy for picking up supplies. I know everyone raves about the restaurant, but I’m not impressed. Ordered a filet mignon, cooked medium. What I received was not a filet mignon and was over cooked. Again, the staff is wonderful, but food was average. 15 Dec 2018 - came by Coinjock again going South. Again, great staff who have the whole docking/fuel/pump out down to a science. Tried the restaurant again, my dinner was delicious - had a glazed salmon with soup and salad.
5/15/2021: Got a slip at St. James for the night. Though told it was a 40' slip - the short finger pier made it impossible to get off/on the boat. Unless I could get a side-tie, I would not go into a slip again. The Staff were helpful, polite and courteous. St. James Marina was relatively easy to get into. Depth at the entrance around 7.5 feet. Once into the marina, depth around 16-17 feet. Fortunately, had a side-tie, slips would have been difficult. Nice staff. Marina itself is neat and clean. The bathrooms for women/men are small - just one toilet and shower per bathroom. There is a restaurant - food was ok and prices reasonable. There is also a side shop where you can buy soup/salads/meat/cheese/sodas, etc. St. James is about 12 miles from town. We used Uber but it was 'touch and go' on getting a driver back to the marina after going out for dinner.
Got lucky - marina was booked when I called in the morning. When we came down the inlet, gave them another call. They had space. Very nice marina, great Staff, terrific view of the inlet, very nice marina office with convenience items. Lots of options for grabbing a meal.
Been two years since I’ve been here, big changes. New mgmt, new rules. Such as-no boat shorter than 50’ can do a side-tie on outer long dock. Presented a problem, depth and current were challenging. Staff are friendly but inexperienced on depth/current conditions. Marina is well maintained, easy walk to local restaurant and general walking in the area. Price for transient very reasonable.
First time staying at this marina. Despite a very strong current, dock staff handled our boat expertly. Nice and wide floating docks. Overall, a very nice facility. The restaurant, Fish House, walking distance. Food, service and scenic views were terrific.
Have stayed several times. Hadn’t been in almost two years and changes taken place. New floating docks in place. No charge for laundry. We were arriving at dark and marina closed, but were told to grab whatever space we could. Worked out well.
First, the Staff are terrific. All were helpful, polite and friendly. Facility and docks well maintained. Depth is a problem. My boat’s draft is 5’ and at low tide, sitting at 3’. Decided to try the restaurant-pricey and mediocre at best.
First time staying at this marina for an overnight. Staff were terrific, had clear direction and help from Dockmaster arriving to the slip. Easy walk to local shops and restaurants. Found a good German Restaurant within a few blocks.
A very nice marina - pricey for a slip - but very nice. The mooring balls are very reasonable in price. Sunset Bay is well maintained - docks are neat, easy to get fuel, bathrooms are very clean, huge laundry room, coffee shop onsite. Easy access for dinghy dock. Nice areas for walking, riding bikes, several restaurants within a short walk. A terrific restaurant - Sailor's Return - beautiful setting and excellent food right at the marina (though pricey).
Have stayed at Shipwright several times since 2018, always a nice experience. Staff is wonderful. Pricing for slips is reasonable. Bathrooms, laundry room, pool are all well maintained. Easy area to kayak or dinghy around.
Anchorage has a great staff - Dockmaster Wayne Easton - is fabulous. Monthly fee for transient was reasonable. Nice lounge, laundry room, and bathrooms (though old) are clean. Easy walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, banks, etc. Plenty of areas to walk or ride bikes. Nice area to cook out, tables for eating outside, nice small pool. Three downsides: no good parking, no wifi, and though the docks are floating ones - the docks are old wood and need to be replaced. However, the advantages outpace the downsides and we'll return again.
Needed a slip to prepare for a hurricane. Zahniser’s was able to accommodate and was able to stay several days. Nice marina, bathrooms were very neat and clean. Laundry room had two each for washers and dryers. Staff were terrific.
26 July 2019: Came back to the charming town of Cape Charles and CCYC to have some work done i.e., hull sanded and painted and some general maintenance items. The support and service was fabulous from all the Staff. All the work was professional. Team was focused on all tasks. Will be back. We've been to Cape Charles Yacht Center several times - both winter and summer. Every time we come here, there are new changes. The new docks are fabulous. The Staff - Rob, Renee and Roger are wonderful. We always have work done on our boat while here and George (master mechanic/engineer) has always done a solid and professional job. Yes, I would love to see separate bathrooms for women/men and a laundry room. Easy walk into Town with great restaurants, shops, easy access to the beach.
First time at this marina. We had great help from the staff on getting our boat tied up. Excellent wifi, which is rare with many marinas. There was a chance of high winds and dockmaster came by to check our boat and tie up addl. lines. Depth can be a slight problem. We draw 5’ and some areas only a little over 6’.
Came to Atlantic Yacht Basin thinking we had a hull leak. Upon arrival, received great help with pump out and docking. Within the first hour, one of the main boat engineers came over and spent time on the boat in the engine room where we noticed water coming in. With additional checking, stated we did not have a hull leak and other things we needed to check. Very happy with the service and honesty.
We stayed at Spring Cove for three weeks while waiting for parts. Very nice marina. Excellent staff. Well thought out general store/gift shop. Nice and clean bathrooms. Great open spaces with lots of trees, grills, picnic areas. Will stay again when in the area.
We’ve stayed twice going North and South and the staff are terrific. Depth was no problem, we draw 5’. The general store is well equipped to either serve food or pick up refreshments.
First time staying at this Marina. Very nice and clean. Staff were terrific. Loaner vehicle available - $10.00 for two hours. Laundry and bathrooms clean and neat. Thought the cost of $2.00 per wash/dryer high. Couple of good restaurants within walking distance.
We've stayed at Harborwalk twice and enjoyed both times. Clean, well run, great staff. Easy to walk into town, good restaurants. Totally enjoyable.
Isle of Palms is terrific. We've been in both winter and summer. The Marina is right off the ICW. It is neat and clean. Bathrooms are clean. Laundry room is neat but small (they should consider re-designing and putting in stackable washer/dryers). The restaurant on-site is good for both lunch and dinner - whether you eat outside or in. The general store on-site is fabulous. Bikes and golf carts are easy to obtain.
We stayed at Jekyll Harbor Marina for several days and loved the whole area. The folks running the Marina were terrific. Provided info on sites to see, provided a golf cart for our use for the day. Restaurant next door was good. Restrooms and laundry room easy to access and clean.
Liked it here very much. Was our first visit to Carolina Beach. Easy to grab a mooring ball and tie-up. Reasonably busy but not overwhelming. Had no problem taking our kayaks to the dock - would be nice to have a ramp to slide the kayaks onto and make it easier to climb out. Fairly easy walk to the Boardwalk and beach. Had planned to just stay one night but extended two nights. Would definitely come back.
The marina is terrific - well protected within the island itself. Clean, neat and general store, restaurants, bikes/golf carts and ferry are within quick walking distance. Highly recommend.
