Friendly launch operators, great town for exploring, dining. Great club bar.
Convenient walk to town, casual atmosphere. Friendly folk.
A favorite place now. Chris was very accommodating, including letting us move to a different mooring when a large commercial vessel on another mooring threatened to hit us when swinging.
We were travelling with two other boats, who were assigned mooring close together near the head of the harbor. We, however, were assigned a mooring out near the harbor entrance where we were subjected to wakes and rolling in the ocean swell. Also there was a lobster facility on shore near us with floodlights shining on us all night. We were happy to be able to fill our water tank at the dock, and the staff was very courteous and helpful there.
Great place, but we were disappointed that the launch service ended at 6PM. We had a group reserved for dinner at 6, but had to cancel due to lack of launch service.
Very friendly marina, but I'm not happy that they charge by the foot rather than a fixed price for a mooring and don't provide launch service. You don't get much value for the what you pay here.
Very happy. Courteous staff, clean showers & restrooms, easy access to rown & restaurants.
We were overcharged for Sunday night. Their web site said the charge was $2.50 per foot for Sundays, but we were charged $3.00/foot for Sunday, the same price as Saturday. I think the mistake was Dockwa's.
Good. Convenient dinghy dock, good eateries nearby and, of course,, 2 days of touring the ships. Harbormaster was very friendly as well.
Mooring was very remote, actually just barely inside the harbor. Unlike most other marinas, launch service was not included. It was available at a per-trip cost. Usually I tip the launch operator about the same as I would have had to pay for the ride here, but the tip doubles the cost.
