Fuel Dock Hours: 9-5 daily and by appointment based on availability
Nice place. Very helpful and friendly personnel. Quiet. Men’s Showers need to be cleaned.
Docks are in nice condition and plentiful. Lots to do in the area and wish we stayed another couple of nights. We look forward to coming back.
Good communication from the staff, everything was just as expected.
We always enjoy our stay at this marina and in Jamestown. The staff is thoughtful and professional. It is a yearly destination for us. Tie an extra line onto your boat when the wind gets going. the marina and mooring field has direct exposure to Narragansett Bay.
Great service. Very quick response on the radio. The Launch showed us to our ball. Stayed on board and didn’t use any services
Good launch service. Afraid the mooring area is much to bumpy with currents , banging all night
Very pleasant staff. Good location for access to restaurants and other supplies. A bit busy, but easy access to Newport.
Great location! Launch service was very timely and friendly. Office staff was helpful; picked us up at the nearby grocery store and returned us to the marina. Jamestown is a nice town, with lots of shops and several good restaurants. Took the ferry to Newport; very convenient. Didn’t use the facilities, so can’t comment on those. Purchased fuel on the way out; convient on floating dock, with helpful staff. Highly recommend!
Staff, especially fuel dock and launch attendants were very friendly and helpful. Women's showers were not very clean according to my wife. Staff were notified.
So many pluses for this marina, like location, nice town, ferry service to Newport and the Jazz Festival, quick launch service. Facilities were…bad. By design, they should be great, however their downfall is in the areas of maintenance and cleanliness. Half of the fixtures urinals/stalls were not operating. Cleanliness. Perhaps the worst I have seen. BTW, same feedback from the ladies. Clearly, this area is not part of the “fun” work of a summer job at a marina, but it is a weak link in an otherwise excellent stopover.
Staff was great, launch drivers, shuttle drivers, office staff. Bathrooms need more attention.
Fast response to my reservation request. Wonderful launch service
Great facilities and a friendly and conscientious staff.
The facility and people were good. My only comment is the fuel dock height. The height is appropriate for big boats (50 ft plus). But too high for smaller boats.
Best mooring in Jamestown. Perfect location. Clean facilities. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Love this place!
Great staff was very helpful and friendly, excellent place to stay if you are looking to visit Jamestown. Very convenient to downtown
Facilities were good. We were tied up on a floating dock on the outside of the enclosed marina. No issues except the locals fishing on the floating dock ar 4 AM made enough noise to wake me up. Security was pretty much non existent.
We spent July 4 here and had a great time. The dockhands were amazing. Jamestown is a nice town with several restaurants within walking distance and the marina is close to a grocery, and a dockhand picked us up so we didn’t have to walk back with bags. The water taxi that leaves from the marina is an added bonus. We toured Newport and had dinner there one night, all via the very convenient water taxi. We also took the taxi to Ft Adams for a tour of it. All in all a great experience.
I like it when they let you check in earlier..sometimes the boat is earlier than expected
Great experience with wonderful and helpful people
We have a house and mooring in Jamestown but wanted to try out the marina life. TPG was great. It was so nice to be in the downtown area with stunning views of the bay. Joe and Graham, the Dock masters, are awesome.
We're coming back! Great marina, wonderful people, Jamestown is a fun place! Brad, the launch coxswain, was a real pleasure. Thanks!
Great little marina at the foot of downtown Jamestown. We were on a mooring ball, only wish the launch ran a little later than 9 PM, as we had to rush dinner ashore, and we were stuck with a late reservation. I wouldn't risk ferrying over to Newport for dinner unless you have a dinghy to get to the mooring field. But great showers, not on a timer. Pretty location, lots of sailboat regatta action in the bay and nice view of the massive Claiborne Pell Newport Bridge.
We stayed a total of 3 nights, bookending a week-long cruise. The staff in launch and fuel dock was efficient and helpful.
All one could ask for. Staff gives clear directions, easy fueling, great launch service.
Very uncomfortable mooring field--to much wave action. We decided not to stay the night and departed the afternoon we arrived.
Great location, staff and launch team were very friendly and helpful! Glad to return there again!
Very pleasant stay and one excellent young dock hand who I tipped generously. One fishing boat played loud rock and roll all day and until 10 pm. Not so good at $500 a night.
Great spot to relax & recharge. Ferry wharf restaurant was perfect place for a quick bite with friendly team
Great mooring, easy pump out, nice facilities and a great brewery in walking distance.
Great location with shuttle to Jamestown and Newport. Wakes can be a bit much from passing boats and the Newport ferry. Disappointed that swimming off the boat isn’t allowed. That’s silly at a mooring field.
Very clean and nice, and the free tender service is great.
Great service and helped with questions we had about the area. We had a mechanical issue and Nigel was great with getting us on our way.
The dock people are soooo helpful and pleasant .I recommend this marina highly
Staff was great. Accommodated a request for a mooring last minute as we worked to get out of dense fog. Comfortable night to reset before moving north the next day.
Launch driver was wonderful
A lot of $ for 1 night, no WiFi, and semi clean bathrooms. Great location. Love the Beach Restaurant.
This was a brief layover on our way to cape cod and only stayed on a mooring for one evening, everything was fine and the tender staff was courteous and friendly. The following morning was a different experience, we called the fuel dock to give them notice we would be pulling up shortly to fuel. There is a lot of current in the harbor and it was a windy morning. As we approached the dock only one attendant came out to assist, our sailboat is 58 ft, we threw the bow line as we pulled up along the dock, the attendant was unable to get both lines attached before the wind blew us off the dock. Finally a 2nd attendant(dark haired) came out of the office and rather than attempting to help said “since we didn’t know how to handle our boat we should not be on their dock”! At which point we departed, headed across the bay to new port and gave them our large fuel purchase! The staff there was welcoming, friendly and courteous! We will return on our way back south and give them our business again!
Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. Launch service was attentive.
Always an amazing place to stay. We make the voyage to Jamestown annually and always stay here.
No wifi, no hot water otherwise very nice, very professional staff...great location, reasonable price, great launch service...
Our marina stay was enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive to our requests. The location is beautiful at the foot of a quaint town that was an easy walk. Great food and drink close by. If we pass through the area we would stay here again.
Great stay. And immediate help to get us out of our slip when we had issues with our engine.
Great location. Great launch drivers.
Graham was awesome, he rolled with our changing schedule due to weather rolling in. Be back soon! Thank you for everything.
I’m a little late in writing this, but I thought I should contribute. We took a slip here for the summer, and based upon being a long-term tenant, I have the following comments; The parking situation absolutely stinks, you have to take their shuttle down the road about 3 miles to get to your car. The shuttle only runs, when they get around to it, between eight am and seven pm (but after five, the fellow who drives the boat to the moorings is also your driver so you have to have to wait a long time). If you’re going to the airport on an early flight the next day and leave your car overnight in the parking lot you will always get a parking ticket. Staff are unfamiliar with basic marina tasks. Security is nonexistent. While we tied off to the dock it self-destructed, ate our boarding ladder and blew up fenders. The dock was tied together with lines and wishful thinking. The repairs to the dock didn’t remedy the problems. Maybe good for an overnight stay, not worth the visit otherwise.
We had our catamaran 'Boomerang' on a mooring ball for all summer and the experience was fantastic. Great improvements to the facilities, the staff at the marina and the fuel dock were excellent, just a little disappointing the Wi-Fi did not function for the whole summer. We'll be back next year!
Friendly, helpful venue. Still retains much of the family run feel that made it special.
Great family feel. Close to restaurants, beautiful views and good service!\nVery helpful dock team. A wonderful place to stay!
People were fantastic, the harbor however was rough. Lots of boat wakes, calms down at night and then started agian at 6am. A little high priced mooring what you get. People are a five +. Mooring is a 2-.
Our first visit to Jamestown by boat and we enjoyed it. Radio communication was easy, dockhands were very helpful and attentive. The town is charming and has an easygoing vibe, not pretentious. Bathrooms were very clean. The marina is pretty exposed and although winds were fairly light we rocked and rolled in our slip until late in the evening when the wind died. Overall a nice experience though.
Decent marina, but nothing exceptional, and the price is ridiculously high! Showers are OK, but there is very little else there. There have to be more reasonable facilities in the area.
We were on the north dock and the boat waves made our stay very uncomfortable, otherwise everything was fine.
The people were pleasant, the facility fine. The mooring fee seems to be 'whatever the market will bear'. It was (by far) the highest mooring fee I've experienced in the 4 years I've been sailing on Narragansett Bay.
Staff was great, very clean bathrooms, excellent location right next to shops and restaurants.
Great yard...very attentive and helpful yard manager. Cooperative staff. Long term parking. Great experience Boomer G
Great marina! Friendly people, terrific launch drivers, and the best showers in any marina I've been to. Love this place.
Jamestown is gorgeous and great for walking, a calm mooring area when the rest of the bay was choppy.
Love the new heads! Drivers are (as always) prompt, professional, and courteous. How about adding a few laundry machines?
As a transient, was not given any kind of welcome package about the town, bathroom codes, etc. we had to ask questions or fend for ourselves. Wifi was not working and we were told it had been down for quite some time. Things seem to be going downhill under TPG ownership. We stayed here in 2019 and it was one of our favorite stops. All that being said the marina is in a great location to the little downtown and restaurants.
We absolutely loved our slip, unobstructed views of the Newport bridge. Great customer service from the staff! We will be back. Thanks!
Friendly staff went out of there way to help us resupply our boat for a long trip to Maine. We strongly recommend this facility to any boater passing through the Rhode Island Sound.
Great restaurant! Definitely would stay there again.
Deep water access. We picked up a brand new orange mooring. Good launch service and nice facilities. Very nautical vibe. Cheaper (though not cheap) alternative to Newport
We were a smaller boat on a mooring. Marina and service were fantastic, friendly and very responsive. Radio communication was extremely easy and effective, launch service was responsive and efficient, Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
Nice mooring, very peaceful Great service Gave us credit when we had to leave early due to illness Nice restaurant at the dock We will be back!
Terrible moorings, way to much boat wake. Mooring line looked like it hadn’t been used all season (weed grass and sea creatures all over it) also even in the typical SW breeze the mooring field offers no Lee. Mooring was also so close to the next one I couldn’t trail the dinghy. I couldn’t stay and fortunately found another mooring.
2022 update. Great spot. Been coming here past few years. Staff and launch operators are great. Under new ownership. A little bumpy with north wind. A bit pricey.
helpful staff, great location, easy walk to food
I transported my boat to Conanicut Marine Services in March of 2021 to have some repairs done before an Offshore race starting at the beginning of June. I supplied a written prioritized list and a surveyors report. I was assured all the work would be done well in time for the race I also personally went to the yard to go over the the required work. As of now - nearing the middle of June - nothing has been done as far as I know and I have had to withdraw from the race - the first time in 40 years that I've missed it. I say as far as I know because the yard does not respond to my emails. I was told however that the yard has lost experienced workers and that the yard' s future is uncertain. My advice to anybody seeking to have work done on their boat is to avoid this place like the plague. This is an update to my previous review It is now November My boat has been in the yard since March I had 2 prioritised repairs to be done which I could not do myself I had a professional marine surveyor lay out the work to be done I gave the yard the list at the end of 2020 and they said they could do the repairs. I transported the boat to them in March 2021 and specified that the work had to be done before the beginning of the race in June. This is all in writing. But after a while I tried to get an update on the work. There was no reply from them. I missed the race and wasted thousands of dollars on race associated preparations. I was then asked to hire another surveyor to tell them how to do the repairs because they apparently did not know how. This was done. But apparently they still do not have the expertise to do what seems to be routine boat repairs. So, now after 9 months or so they say they will send it out. Which I could have done myself. there seems to be no in house technical expertise or sense of responsibility. I thought my previous review would encourage them to deal their job - but apparently not. I repeat my previous recommendation to avoid this place like the plague if you are seeking a timely and competent repair
Another great season at Conanicut Marine in Jamestown RI. Allready looking forward to next year 🤙
Beautiful spot !!!! Very helpful when I called in.
Nice change from busy Newport, peaceful, friendly dock hands ..lovely little town to explore..easy in and out of Harbor
Had a wind time exploring Jamestown and Newport. The bathrooms were excellent and the shower was fantastic. Launch service friendly and quick. This is a great place for a mooring IF the winds are not from the north. We rolled so much my Fitbit thought I was awake all night. In general this spot can be disturbed by boats passing by and even the launch of you’re too close to the marina. I would stay here again if the wind is Westerly.
Nice wide slip, dock hand was very helpful. But, no pumpout service was available. Moved to municipal dock to pump out but no one could make their unit operate. Moved again to pump out facility used by the ferry. Got yelled at by ferry Captain. No pumpout service on boat show weekend! Bad... very bad...
The marina and all staff are first class. Unfortunately when the wind is from north or northeast, conditions on the boats are almost unbearable, after three nights of this, I couldn’t wait to get home.
Great Marina , have been there for years It was dark and very windy and I could not catch the mooring ball. They sent a boat and skipper to help. Thank you
Great stay. Very helpful and accommodating staff. We will be back.
Overall a great experience. The Marina staff are very helpful and the services are top notch. Current can get a bit tricky but you can’t beat the location. I am never docking in Newport again.
Staff was terrific. Dan & Tom saw us through hurricane/tropical storm. Caring, helpful & professional. Great place to stay.
pleasant staff and efficient services.
Very nice place and the staff was helpful and very pleasant.
We are new to boating and still learning a lot. Conanicut Marina was awesome, we called on the VHF and the directed us to a dock where someone was waiting to tie us up. Everyone was super friendly and helpful! We will definitely come back.
First class marina with first class people. Highly recommended!
From our first entry into the marina area, we were professionally (& patiently) assisted to our mooring. As it was our first visit, and as we had failed to read the detailed instructions sent us, we needed assistance and it was provided without hesitation. The facilities ashore are top-notch, the fuel dock personnel were experienced at helping boaters tie-up, and the launch drivers were phenomenal. Thanks! We will return.
Great location, friendly staff, convenient shuttles. Clean restrooms, great selection of ice at fair prices. Nice stores and restaurants nearby.
Great friendly staff. Free shuttle was awesome! Great location.
Excellent accommodations and service. Only possible improvement would be for air conditioning in the bathrooms.
Great service, waiting at dock on arrival and assisted us tie up and set up shore power. Great location, right in town. Would stay again.
It was a very nice Marina, But not a good place to go on a mooring unless you have a sailboat. There where to many boats flying threw the mooring area. We where getting knocked around all day. I will stay on the dock on our next trip.
Very pleasant and helpful
Quick & easy, excellent, professional crew friendly with no attitude.
First trip and I came away liking this marina. Really competent dock staff. Didn't feel gouged even though we were near Newport. Good location for access to restaurants and ez ferry ride to Newport. A little rocky on the docks from wakes during the afternoon but calmed down late in the day and it was completely comfortable.
We live on the other side of the island and wanted to take our 24' center console around and watch the fireworks from Conanicut Marina. I contacted the dockmaster and inquired about a slip for a few hours that evening. A most gracious staff made it happen. We had an amazing short stay that evening. Tommy was exceptional helping with our docking in a tight space. I can't say enough about the courteous staff. Bill has done an exceptional job over the years to build his team. Joe McGrady (owner of Fairwinds Marina in Warwick and former owner of Dutch Harbor Boatyard in Jamestown)
Great marina and always fantastic service from the launch.
Very accommodating staff. Super quick launch boat. Always love it here, easy walk to shops.
We a wonderful stay. We thought that all the Conanicut staff was very accommodating and helpful for all our needs. and we really appreciated the complimentary launch and shuttle service. We wish more marinas were like Conanicut Marine.
A little rolly, but overall a great experience.
Great town Great staff Dan was very helpful when I arrived I will be back
It’s unfortunate that your cancellation policy for transient slips is so draconian, considering the unpredictable weather in New England. My group of 10 boats ( over 375 feet of slippage) would have liked to stay at your marina for one night at the tail end of our 10 day cruise. We as a group like to book a few months in advance. But as everyone knows, thing happen and sometimes plans need to be changed. Unfortunately as we are only planing on staying one night, which considering your lack of real cancellation policy, mean that once we book, regardless of the reason, regardless of the notice, no refund would be offered. You are sending a message that you must not really want transient guests. I wonder how many other boaters are skipping this stop for the same reason? * * * * Steve, It was great to talk with you today. Thanks so much for reaching out to me and our group. We truly appreciate your flexibility! Looking forward to seeing you in August.
This is just the friendliest place you could find and the staff is professional and helpful. We tied up to one of the slips for 2 nights. The marina is right in town and they have everything you need, grocery, liquor, hardware store, marine store, restaurants and boutiques. The marina offers rides if you want also. The views of Newport and the bridge are spectacular especially at night. Our second stay was as good as the first. Highly recommend.
Arrived at 6pm. Took awhile to find the right mooring ball. Description could include “red cone”. Dined at J22. Nice all around. Well protected fron the NW winds.
We were on a mooring ball for about 10 days. We were off the boat for part of the time and felt very comfortable knowing the marina staff was watching out for it. The launch service was terrific. It was a bit rolly when the wind picked up from the E/NE, but still okay. They also have a shuttle and a staff member took us to the laundromat nearby. Very close to downtown Jamestown and shops/restaurants. The boat shuttle to Newport leaves from here. We did not utilize bathrooms / showers, but they looked nice. We would definitely come back again
awesome the people are great
Conanicut runs an excellent operation. Clean, wide docks with 30 amp and 50 amp service, water, Dock hands always available to assist in docking/departure. Boat house with comfortable bathrooms each with 2 showers. Spinnakers cafe serves coffee in the am and ice cream in the pm and lots of burgers, wraps, etc. in between. On site liquor store too!
We made a last minute reservation and the mooring met our needs and was very convenient.
Great dock hands/escort service. I should have had some tip money handy, but was not prepared for the experience-- first time mooring w/escort service: was towing a dinghy. But loved it! Was a bit surprised, though, the marina directed me to New England Yacht Rigging in Warwick for a halyard, to replace the one we lost on the way in. I discovered a fabulous rigger--JP @ Sensible Yacht Cordage--right in town, was available, super helpful, and highly knowledgeable. He helped me rig the new main halyard when NE Yacht left the new halyard in a box for me to pick up a half hour away, with no car. No small inconvenience.
Easy in and out, amenities were in great condition and well kept. Friendly staff!
Beautiful town and Convenient services. Only concern is the large Swells From Tug wakes coming in from min channel. Launch service and ferry to Newport provide lots of options.
We prefer Jamestown to Newport, but we probably won't go back there...the slip we were assigned was right next to the Newport ferry and the launches from the mooring field. We rocked all day until 9 or 10 at night. And we had no wifi connection. We asked to be moved, but were told that there still would have been no wifi connection.
Great spot for transient boaters. Close to eateries. Easy shuttle over to Newport if you like.
Great marina, well kept easy to use moorings Dock master readily available on 71 Easy access to great local restaurants, ferry to Newport Launch service is superb Only drawback is that the morning field tends to be very rolly at times
The marina went above and beyond to accommodate us when we arrived a little early for our mooring. They pumped us out right away as well which was such a relief. We were at P0 and it was a really nice spot. We love the south side mooring field. We will be back soon! Thanks again
Launch was excellent and included with the mooring. Moorings are right downtown with easy access to shops and restaurants. Tuesday night sailboat races finish at the mooring field. Great to watch from the moorings.
Great staff. The launch service is very friendly and fast.
The BEST staff & launch service. Can be rocky on busy boating days, but very quiet and calm nights. Exposed to NE and East, very protected in all other wind directions. Excellent marina with convenient ferry to NEWPORT. Plenty of reasons, restaurants and sights on JTN to not go to Newport . Great Vetenarian up street on right. Dr. Wirth of Newport Animal Hospital. Also great market short walk away
Great shoreboat service, well maintained moorings, nice shower facilities. All good!
Excellent service and very friendly launch service. Highly recommend!
Quiet spot. Dinner Simpatico downtown excellent
Great service as usual.
Very good service, clean well-appointed shower rooms, nice access to a variety of restaurants and take-out places. But...the north mooring field has a lot of current running through it, therefore it was a roll-ly overnight, despite a very protected west wind. The occasional party boat late-night arrival and the pre-dawn fishing departures added wake turbulence that increased the roll. And we had Rocker-Stoppers deployed, to little avail.
Great location. Very clean and quiet with easy access to Newport.
Great mooring field and staff. Wakes can be intense for ferries and such. They really should assign the moorings furthest away from the ferry path first. Otherwise great location.
Always nice. The staff is always very helpful and the tender captains are extremely friendly and attentive. Great location!
Outstanding service, great launch, beautiful location. Cannot put a 50’ (or even a 40’) boat on E2. We blew down on our neighbors and had to pull off to another mooring.
Great place to stay, easy to pick up a mooring and visit Newport and Jamestown
Great, love the water taxi to newport
Lovely spot to enjoy views of the Newport bridge and easy ferry access to Newport. Our visit was during a sleepy Labor Day and Tuesday when most restaurants were closed. Staff at the marina are professional and helpful. Shuttle service for remote parking was helpful since street parking near marina wasn't available. Floating docks are affected from occasional large wakes from the bay making boats sway vigorously in the marina-- but no problems.
Staff alert and helpful. Very skilled. Friendly service.
Great location Friendly efficient launch service
Always professional. From your first hail, to the launch drivers, to when you leave, the crew at Conanicut is always courteous. Very much appreciated.
Great Staff. Friendly and really helpful.
The west side of Jamestown is not a harbor. A harbor is supposed to offer a respite from wind, waves and wakes. Jamestown does none of these. The constant tossing of the boat never stopped. In fact, in the early hours of the night, it sounded like something was trying to tear the boat apart. Needless to say, we didn't get any sleep. The Conanicut Marine was a friendly place. They run a tight ship which we witnessed when someone came and moved a mooring ball they felt was too close to us. The launch service is essential because the waves makes it almost dangerous to try and use your own tender. They are quick and competent when ferrying people around. I would recommend this location only if there is no wind and you don't mind being tossed around by wakes of large vessels travelling the busy waters of Newport.
Very clean showers. Nice dock accommodations. Have dinner at Sampatico!
Very nice. Harbor master gave good and prompt advice about entering the narrow channel with a boat drawing 7'. It's a quaint quiet picturesque town with great walking and beautiful views. Nice spot. We'll be back.
Wonderful people who go out of their way to take care of the you. This place is now a regular stop for us.
Needed a mooring for one night. Reservation was simple (DockWa). Staff quickly and efficiently responded to our radio call when we arrived and had our mooring assignment and directions to it very quickly. Looking forward to staying there again in the near future.
Great stay. Late booking was confirmed immediately. Marina called to make sure if we were ok with the assigned mooring on the southern edge of the field (we were).
Everyone was accommodating and we’ll be back next year.
Terrific Staff. Very helpful, professional, and pleasant. Nice clean facilities. We have been at the marina before and will visit again.
Really enjoyed our second stay here. Really friendly staff and nice Ready rooms with showers. Patty on the launch was super nice! Now been back a third time and only enjoy the marina more!! Wonderful, friendly staff and friendly launch drivers!
Great Launch service, a courtesy shuttle to local places, convenient walking to a few nice restaurants and market. Also ferry to Newport operates from the same marina.
Great customer service, including launch drivers, Clean showers. Wonderful location.
A nice stay, great weather. Can be a little bouncy at times, but calms down at night. Nice views. Marina personnel are courteous and helpful. Clean bathroom/showers.
Great marina. Excellent service and helpful staff. Had a water pump failure while moored. Mechanic staff headed by Kevin was excellent
A planned short stay at CMS on our boat turned into a longer stay as it is when we overheated our motor on the way out into the sound on the way to Cuttyhunk. Of course we sailed back to CMS and grabbed a mooring. We received very timely assistance from Dan in diagnosing the root problem and then installing and tested replacement parts the next day. Great team at CMS to work with, both at the water front and at the shop up on Narragansett Ave. Thanks very much , Dave Strippe and Janice Edler What the Heck
Fantastic service. Great facilities and location
We needed to move moorings because a catamaran was swinging on its mooring to close to ours. The launch drivers were very good at helping us move to another mooring. Also, we enjoyed their courtesy shuttle to the grocery store. The service here is excellent. I highly recommend Conanicut Marine Services for mooring in the Newport/Jamestown area.
This Marina has an excellent, well spaced mooring field and an attentive launch service that runs until a 2245 return to mooring. Excellent Jamestown restaurants and shops close by to the launch dock. Much quicker than Newport yet there is a Jamestown to Newport Ferry available to access the Newport restaurants. Can be a bit rolly in a stiff south wind.
Very professionally run. Great amenities and location.
Great people. Great marina. Great services. Thank you
Overall location was good, easy access to Jamestown & dining options, good views, prompt launch service. Only issue was the mooring was really roll-y, like, non-stop. There's no protection from all the Narragansett Bay traffic, and I was constantly being "waked". It only calmed down after dark.
Great location near town and easy access to newport. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Clean facilities. Will definitely be back.
We had a mooring, and the local power boat traffic made it very uncomfortable. Way too rolly polly.
Very convenient location, ferry over to Newport and when you want come back to no crowds you can
Friendly, accommodating and helpful staff. On demand shuttle to grocery store was amazing.
Second time around and it was as great as the first time ! Class act, they have their stuff together.... Very enjoyable ! Thanks
Excellent facility. Dockhands are knowledgeable and available on arrival and departure. Convenient to the small town of Jamestown. Accommodated us by extending our stay.
We frequently visit Conanicut Marine Services for overnight stays. Super friendly launch operators and shoreside staff. Always quite accommodating. And the ships store nearby has a great selection of useful items including Yanmar parts if you need something in a pinch.
Great people, great marina
Excellent service! Very clean facilities! Great location!
Good moorings with a double harness and great launch service.
mooring field comfortable good restaurants near marina and easy access by frequent ferry to Newport
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and nice. Restaurants are an easy walk. Much more relaxing feel than Newport.
Great staff and clean facilities. Short shuttle ride to Newport.
However, their Internet WiFi is from the dark ages. Couldn’t connect on two devices, only one. Very, very, unnecessarily complicated even when it worked.
Great marina and staff. Jamestown is a great cruising destination
Conanicut is a great place to visit. The marina is in very good shape, the bathrooms are clean (always on my checklist), the staff is helpful and friendly, and the location is superb. I much prefer the sleepier and more quaint Jamestown to the hustle and bustle of Newport, and yet it's only a short ferry ride away!
It was great. The staff was super helpful and provided us an extra level of service getting us launched off the mooring with motor issues. It was greatly appreciated!
Great marina with Restaurants and a few shops all on the water. Take the water ferry across the bay to Newport RI for a fun day.
Folks are very accomodating. Free launch. Right next to the town.
Always a pleasure to pick up a mooing at Conanicut! Best launch service launch service in the bay!
we were not given code for showers whixh was main reason to dock. after hours we discovered the need but no way to get it! no contacts available. take notice and ask in advance.
We have stayed at Conanicut many times and always have an excellent experience. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay seamless. Solid docks, great scenery, and great location.
The mooring location was great. The staff was professional and courteous and the town is charming. Tip to fellow sailors, try to get an inside mooring to avoid chop from the bay.
The marina staff and services are very good. The only complaint is that because of the location of the mooring field, vessels are subject to a confluence of wind, tide, and passing boats. It can make for a bumpy night, depending on the weather. But otherwise the facilities are nice; clean bathrooms, convenient launch service, and proximity to town in particular. We would definitely stay again.
excellent facility, staff, and services. clean rest rooms, shuttle service, and friendly staff. it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. highly recommend it
Welcoming, professional staff, good quality floating docks, clean modern heads & showers. On-site ferry to Newport is fun. Will definitely be back.
This was a perfect location to view all the boat activity on the Bay. Staying away from the massive crowds in Newport Harbor was exact what we needed. The staff and launch service were great.
Facilities and employees were tremendous. Moorings are quite exposed to the conditions of Narragansett Bay.
Have stayed here before & it’s a convenient alternative to Newport. Good mooring field, launch service, bathrooms & central location. We had to move our mooring due to strong Nirthrrly winds which pushed us onto a channel marker so avoid mooring E1 unless wind is from SW.
Easy in-easy out, as long as winds not blowing too strong (no bow thruster). Smaller marina right i the middle of a really cute (and small) village. several places to eat and only a short ferry ride (or uber) to Newport. docks in good shape, bath facilities were neat, clean and newer. no gas dock this year ('18) not sure about pump out. we'd go again. rarely, if ever, give 5-stars...there's always something...
The marina, services and people are great! Convenient location to Newport with a ferry leaving right from the marina every half hour or so. The mooring field is somewhat exposed, especially in a northerly. This can make for a rolling, bouncy, uncomfortable night.
Conanicut Marine was fantastic! Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean (honestly, they had the nicest showers I've seen while cruising), and the location is perfect. It's a super quick walk to the Jamestown restaurants, the Jamestown/Newport ferry leaves right from their dock, and the view of the Jamestown Bridge and Rose Island Light is awesome. And the icing on the cake - they'll drive you to the grocery store to provision! The store is within walking distance, but it's so much easier to not have to lug all those bags back to the boat. We liked it so much, we decided to stay three nights instead of the one we initially booked. We'll definitely be back!
As always a great experience. Staff always friendly and helpful. Premises are very well kept. Thanks for a wonderful firework celebration.
Good Location, Friendly staff, lower rating due to abundance of boat wake.
We kept our Eastern 18 here for the Volvo Ocean Race in May. Can't say enough about the folks who run this marina, and the facilities - both made for a memorable stay. Thanks!
Excellent location. Wonderful launch service with friendly and helpful staff. We will definite visit here again
Staff and service top notch - a bit bumpy with the small rollers that enter the mooring field till evening when the traffic sdlows down.
This is a great little marina in a nice town. The staff is wonderful, the launch complimentary, and the town is wonderful!
Great quick stay to get out of the seas. Too rough for the Block run. Jack was great! Quiet, with great views!
Great staff and perfect location. Always a good experience at Conanicut Marina
Marina and docks are nice, avoid staying by the ferry lane, made for a bumpy day, outside transient is not well protected. Stayed inside last year and was much happier. A bit pricey.
Always a great stay. Plenty of help even after Labor Day. Ferry makes craziness of Newport dockage unnesessary.
The staff were all great. Showers were very clean. The wifi did not work.
I loved the location and Jamestown itself. The marina staff were awesome. The marina itself and and facilities were great as well. But a show stopper for us was the constant un-baffled wake activity that flowed through the marina. Boat after boat would go by and cast a wake that would travel through the marina, sometimes violently knocking the boat all over the place. Nights after 8PM were fine. But then the next morning, it would start up all over again. If the marina could figure out how to baffle all those wakes so that the marina is calm, then the marina would be a 5 star and I would be the first to come back. But until then, I will be staying away.
Have stayed here a few times. Always great. Launch drivers and dock staff unfailing courteous and sharp. Far enough away from but easy access to all things Newport. Great stay with quick ride out to see the J Class Worlds.
Very nice facility. Well run with friendly staff and clean heads.
Conanicut and their staff is always outstanding, a nice way to overnight downtown Jamestown, wonderful dinner at Fish restaurant and cocktails aboard the boat thru the evening. Our underwater lights created an instant aquarium with all the fish swimming around their docks, unbelievable.
Enjoyed our stay at Conanicut Marina. The launch service is outstanding. All the launch operators are personable and responsive. The mooring location was very convenient. The location to town and all the shops and restaurants is top shelf. The stop and go dock is accessible and easy to tie up to. The guys at the gas dock were great to work with, too. The whole area is pet friendly. All things considered, it was a very positive experience all week.
I'm not sure how they do it, maybe it's free coffee, maybe it's a daily pep talk, I don't know how they do it but the morale of the staff is second to none. Whenever I drop in to use the launch, or drop off a car load of gear before a trip the staff always makes an unsolicited offer to help me in some way that is above my expectations. An offer of an extra hand to help is followed up with the help, not a long pause, it's like you're family to them, they just want you to have the best day possible and if they see a way to help they'll just do it.
Navigation to the Marina was easy. Docks were good except some lights were out. Dock hands were good. Office staff lacked personality. Facilities were nice and clean.
We were initially assigned a mooring without a float which made it impossible to retrieve the mooring lines. The launch came out to assist but were unable to help us retrieve lines effectively, but did recover our lost docking pole. Upon our request, we were assigned another mooring with floats and able to pick up lines without problem. Launch service is very good. No way to call marina staff directly on the telephone.
As always very professional in every regard. And today when I needed my boat pumped out (and their pump out boat was in Newport0 the staff lent a hand at the Town pump out station. We always enjoy our stay at this marina.
Always a great experience, Had a mooring, E9< North hear the yacht club, which was nice and quiet. Rollers not bad at all this trip.
Very friendly, helpful and quaint atmosphere. Great location. Good amenities.
Wonderful people, wonderful service, wonderful place. I love Jamestown as it's a more relaxed environment than Newport but very convenient to everything.
