Fabulous location - extremely helpful dock hands!
We love this location! The Herreshoff museum and grounds are impressive - we learn something new every time we visit. The mooring field is convenient to the harbor, a short walk to town, and we think better protected from the prevailing SW than the harbor, itself. Our only suggestion for improvement is to have staff available to make the mooring assignment, or to advise the guest accordingly when confirming the DockWa request.
Bristol Yacht Club is one of the friendliest venues we have ever visited using DockWa. From the launch operators to the shore staff we were welcomed and accommodated as if we were members - they made us feel special. The accommodations are among the best we have used: clean and convenient heads w showers - even coffee and fresh pastry in the morning!
Our first visit by boat to Mystic! Reservation process smooth and quick. Location and layout of docks most convenient to river - a short, pleasant walk to town. Marina staff unquestionably the friendliest we encountered on our two-week summer sail! Every person we met had a smile and a good word. Dock hands were there before we knew it to assist (and to compliment) our docking!
Love the new heads! Drivers are (as always) prompt, professional, and courteous. How about adding a few laundry machines?
The Harbormaster's transient moorings are wonderful - especially when it is blowing from the southwest! Once in town, the Maritime Center is a joy! Showers; laundry; ice; local information; knowledgable and friendly staff.
We love DHBY - perfect location - amazing staff! Easy to access; simple mooring field to navigate; ample, clean bathrooms; snack shack on grounds; short walk to Jamestown; OUTDOOR SHOWER! If you have a dinghy and want an adventure and love fresh fish, head up to Zeek's Creek - northeast corner of harbor (half tide or better).
This marina is the best - change your plans and stay here! They have everything: great location; well-equipped ship’s store (or will get what you need); fun art gallery; wonderful restaurant; and amazing sunsets. More important, they have the most friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff. They only know “yes”. We took an extended sail vacation and stayed with them twice. Our plans changed a bit and they were always helpful when we needed to adjust dates. Stay here!
Classic boat yard - they make the Shelter Island Runabout (favored by Billy Joel) and has a great reputation for yacht maintenance (fortunately we did not need). We loved Coecles Harbor, and they are at the end of it - be brave about shallow water. Location is amazing - gorgeous coves, etc. We could dinghy to the kayak rental 'next door' and had a great day exploring the area. This was after a week on the water, so we appreciated the fuel dock, head pump-out, fresh water, and laundry - boat and crew refreshed! There are bike and car rentals for getting to town (a couple miles away) or for exploring the island by land. There is also a small chandlery.
Great facility - wonderful people! Had never been into Westport before - staff was encouraging - navigation straightforward. Amazing location - gorgeous beach a short dinghy ride. All shore services were all we needed: showers, ice, fuel, and a sweet ship’s store. Launch driver even offered to bring us to the local restaurant!
Recently delivered a boat from Boston’s north shore to Narragansett Bay - needed a convenient location after transiting the CC Canal. We were totally impressed! More than a simple accommodation for our journey, Parker’s had everything! More important, everyone we dealt with - reservations staff, dock hands - was friendly and accommodating. Several friends and family stopped by and were also welcomed. This trip was for convenience, the next one will be on purpose!

Fabulous facility, services, and staff - at a critical location! This is the harbor of refuge if you are waiting for a favorable tide to transit the canal to the west (Ebb) or need to rest after an east (flood) passage. The docks are well laid out, in great condition, and well-equipped. There is an accessible fuel dock and pumpout services are handy. The shore facilities are completely new - harbormaster office, restrooms, and terrific restaurant! All you could want.
Staff was friendly and accommodating - got a great slip. Location on lower Thames Street is perfect for many shops, restaurants, etc. Some issues: bathrooms need some renovations; marina is located on same property as a restaurant and bar, which were quite loud, until late.
