If I could I would give these wonderful folks 100 stars. The marina is great....nice restaurant on premises....but it is when you need work done on your boat....none better....we had a problem....they helped....they fixed everything...tested the boat and made sure everything was working correctly....when you are in trouble...or not in trouble come stay here you won't regret it.....promise.....nice restrooms and showers....well kept and organizes...nice docks...but it is the people that make everything GREAT
Pulled in for fuel and stayed 2 nights ( August 2024) the manager is a nice friendly guy and will try to help you out whenever possible....the bathrooms and showers were great...protected so nice and quiet....restaurant on premises...took UBER to grocery store...coffee shop a fair walk but good coffee and.
We (my Wife and I) have been heading south in August 2024 from CT....and have stayed at a number of marinas along the way....this place is GREAT.....friendly staff...cement wide new docks...very protected.....fuel....very nice bathrooms and showers.....swimming pool...we loved it.
Now the docks are not in pristine condition but this is a fun place with the casino there and restaurant (Chart House)....fuel nearby....and pump out on the dock with each slip....and even though the restrooms were not perfect they were fairly clean and I counted 7 showers plenty of hot water.....live music from some fantastic bands. Would like to say that during my visit (August 2024) that run down the Jersey coast in open ocean.....you better have a big boat and I was 3 miles off shore and because of Fog we never saw a inch of the Jersey shore line.
stayed for 1 night August 2024 on our way south...it was quiet ....nice docks...restaurant on premises ...this is a large marina so good walk to heads and showers. The staff were friendly enough.
a tight fit getting in to a well protected marina...very friendly staff....pretty marina ...it is mostly a yacht club that has some transient slips.
The good and the not so good...the pool and grounds are beautiful...the marina is well protected (we got stuck there for 6 days August 2024 Storm)...the marina needs to be dredged (no sail boats)...the bathrooms and showers are a mess...very quiet if no fishing tournament is going on...tons of floating dead horseshoe crabs that stink (they are trying to clean up) rented a car (the marina is not near town) from Enterprise they picked us up but needed an Uber to get home they were short staffed.
You are away from your home port....headed south to South Carolina from Connecticut....you develop a leak and need help...don't go here...you could be the best marina in the world but if you can't help someone that needs help....what good are you
My wife and I are headed south to South Carolina from Connecticut...we developed a leaky rudder stuffing box...these people got me in tied up and had a mechanic down to fix my problem. When you are away from your home port and in another state you got a problem ....no one else wanted to help us...these folks have a heart.
It is like being on vacation at a resort …because that is what it is….staff most helpful. One of the staff Mike ,is always there to say hello and help. Long or short stay you can’t go wrong here. Still needs work but suck a large and complicated yard (since it is an island) it will take time.
this a huge property....very large boats...hotel rooms the whole 9 yards....fixed docks make it difficult if your dingy is on your stern....the wifi is bad and the restrooms and showers are few for such a large marina...not all of us have a 60 ft Bertram and we use the showers at the marina....heated pool....the guys that help tie up your boat are the best I have seen which helps since you back down between 2 or 3 pilings to a fixed (no floating docks) dock.
Very large marina....restaurant on the premises....gas grills...nice reck room....good place to go poking around with a dingy....rest rooms and showers were very clean....dock staff were very helpful. Nice place to visit
My wife and I have been visiting this beautiful spot for many years. Very friendly people and well run working yard. The view of fishers island sound is just beautiful. Family owned and operated and it shows in how neat and clean everything is. Believe 2022 is their 50th anniversary....wish them well.
The new restroom and showers are a work of art, seriously they are beautiful....restaurant is very good and they spent a fortune on the grounds.
Very popular marina and for good reason….pool…jacuzzi…cable TV.. WIFI….. short dingy ride to town with shops and restaurants…not many marinas have all these things.
Nice large marina….the dock staff was great ….beautiful pool…restaurant on the premises….large floating cement docks…..and with boats We had a small problem but Chris sent some one down to get me fixed….a true reason to be a Safe Harbour member….special thank you Chris
The marina staff is First Rate.....the bathrooms/showers are the best....all new...the location of the marina couldn't be better....just a short walk to restaurants.....shops....can't say enough about the young staff....they are there 8 in the morning till 8 at night to help....after that security guard
My wife and I had the privilege of staying there for only a couple of nights.....the bathrooms are the best on the east coast....the staff were friendly and they gave us the best slip we have ever gotten anywhere...the town is still trying to cope with the virus ....not everything is open and the restaurants are not all open
They gave us the best slip in the 25 years my wife and I have visited there.....it was very quiet due to the virus....but that was expected
This is only my opinion.....they did redo the docks....there about 3 ft above the water and the configuration is the same as the old docks (mostly)...some boats (older boats and not so old boats) are having trouble with the electric....the new code they had to install a ground falt that is very, very temperamental and the breaker pops. At $6.00 plus a foot you think you could use your air conditioner....not so for some boats....then there is the problem with your dingy...they make it as hard as possible for you to deploy and use your dingy....mine they cut my chain and towed my dingy to a mooring because THEY forgot to tell me about THE PINK STICKER...I realize they have a short period of time ti rape the tourist of all their money....they just don't care...Oh and the bathrooms will give you nightmares for the rest of your life
The only draw back was for some reason the marina allows people on B dock to bring their vicious pit bull and chow dogs....these dogs will eventually bite someone. The dogs are unfriendly and growl and snap when approached....it is only a matter of time
