Although you're on the flight path for the Navy the location is prefect. Free shuttle to key west is super convenient.
Nice and quiet location in a very residential island. Enjoyed watching the Dolphins and the food. A good place to layover as we traveled south to key west.
Small town. Easy walking. Doc hand gave us the nickel tour of the town. Dropped us off at the best bar in town and walked back.
Enjoyed cocktails on the deck. We were afforded a golf cart so we toured the Vanderbilt property. Resupplied provisions great town!

Although they don't have many amenities like shower or laundry, The location is supreme. You are right in the downtown retail area. Walking distance to great beaches! Will be returning in the future.

Going on 6 years since we started coming to BI. Paynes has all the necessary amenities to enjoy your stay on the Island. I recommend renting bikes for an easy day tour of the island.
A perfect place to stay for our start and end point of our summer cruise. Would have liked to have had a bulk fuel discount. Our 6th year through for our New England cruising. Close to the restaurants and activities which made for a nice walk in the evening.
A delightful six days at Tisbury Wharf. We enjoy staying in Vineyard Haven with it's quiet laid back attitude and access to rental cars and provisions only a short walk away. Will return next year!
Having been displaced in Newport, we decided to head up the bay to Bristol. A very nice little town full of historical homes. Very quiet. Town dock provided adequate dockage for our big boat. Dock is exposed to the SW so if the winds are coming from SW it can be a bit bumpy. Super cool to see a self service pump out. You gotta pay big money to get a pump out in Newport.
First time our family of seven have ever stayed on a mooring. Let alone for 4 days! Nantucket is expensive! But, there are so many great restaurants to please any palate. Being on a boat, we tend to travel by foot. So, we spent too much time in the center. A rainy day island tour from Ana's Tours provided a good history and sights. We had rain or clouds for 2 days, but day 3 allowed us a beach day. Best Beach - Surfside. Best party venue - Ciscos brewery/distillery/winery!
Our favorite Island to visit! We stayed for 4 nights this time. Plenty of new beaches and plenty of flea markets to keep my family busy. We've been staying at the Black Dog for the past three years and will continue to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Vineyard Haven and the proximity to provisions and transportation.
Another wonderful stay in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. Science center and the sauna were a big hit. Tours of the ships and crabs in Locust Point. We'll be back again next year!
We were berthed right next to their wedding venue. It was a real treat to observe the ceremony and the following reception right next to us on Saturday night. Reception ended by 10:00 and all was quiet again. Will continue to have Mystic Seaport on our travel itinerary.
