Great protected downtown location, nice floating docks and we enjoyed the Dockmaster but the showers were awful. Dirty and buggy.
Great overnight stop. Easy access to restaurants and nice floating dock and very good showers. Nice staff as well.
Raw beauty and great people. Harbormaster/police chief/marina manager is a great guy and very helpful. Most of Marina has no finger piers. Most pilings had no nail or hook to keep lines cinched on them from dropping to water level or below. No showers. Few places to eat but amazing seafood. We had such a great time and will be back again.
The whole experience from arrival to departure was a 10. Marina and museum staff were all engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. The slip was right in the museum area on a floating dock. The museum was huge and incredible. Very authentic and interactive. Highly recommended.
High priced “resort” with few amenities. Good helpful dock staff. Right downtown but big ferries are usually close by at next pier unloading and loading with engines running. Had spectacular Indian food at Curry Club at SaGhar just to the right off ferry. Cute town. Brewery beer was so so.
Good: the launch service was fast and courteous, the mooring jewelry was solid, cute town (“wild honey” lunch was incredible), they treated us right with a refund because showers were not operational (under renovation). Not as good: lots of crossing boat wakes including good sized launch wakes, fairly large harbor meant good sized chip in wind. All in all great.
The floating docks were in great shape, the dock hands were all very helpful and there is so much nearby to enjoy. Highly recommended.
This was our second visit here. While they have nice free laundry and showers, we sadly will not ever visit again. Heading up the ICW, we were trying to time our runs north through the Pamlico and Albemarle sounds to avoid inbound high winds, and planned 2 nights at the marina. The morning of checkin, predictions of very high winds began to move in earlier, necessitating sooner crossings. When we checked in we told them we could now only stay 1 night as we had to leave to make it across Palmico and Albemarle sounds. They told us we needed to comply with a 24 hour cancellation policy which was what we did, however they said it needed to be before we even checked in. We asked for them to credit the one night and they refused. We have stayed at countless marinas in the states and the Bahamas and this is the first time a marina has penalized us due to bad weather. Clearly not boater friendly!
Unbelievable in every way. Facilities, staff, service and food. All first class. At dinner our server Kelly was amazing, watching us and assuring we had our food courses perfectly timed. The conch Rangoon was delicious as well as the rest of our meal. At the front desk Karrell took such good care of us. The short golf cart ride to the beach revealed a pink sand world class beach with lounges and umbrellas ready for guests. The waterfront pool and hot tub at the resort is stunning. Beautiful and not to be missed.
Awesome facilities and beautiful setting. All around great experience
Great facility and staff was helpful. Dock was very nice as well.
Floating docks were in great shape- easy approach, docking and tieup alongside full length pier with dockguard and cleats. Staff was friendly and helpful, facilities including the pool were great. Overall 100%. Highly recommended. Nearby resort dining was fantastic.
Good: The dock hands were great - it was blowing 15kts and they were right there to help tie up, and the resort is spacious and a lovely setting high up overlooking the Choptank (what a horrible name). Not so great: There was a definite roll in the marina throughout the night, the pool is a very long walk from the docks, they apply a "resort fee" of $31 but you must buy coffee in the lobby and no discount on renting water sports stuff/bikes, and food is not so great at the restaurants.
Very pleasant- nice dockage. Pool small but nice. Dock staff helpful and friendly. Be ready for potentially high current at entrance turn when tide is running ~ up to 3-4 kts. at the elbow. Be ready to maneuver.
