An excellent location, good facilities and a courteous and helpful staff make for a pleasant stay. Staff was great getting us into a tight slip inside on day-1, then most accommodating to help us move to the Mega Dock on day-2 for an easier departure the following morning. Shuttle rides to downtown, Harris Teeter and other stops are available most days and evenings.

This is one of our favorite stops on the ICW. Follow Mary's directions and the approach is straightforward, depths more than ample. She and resident boaters are friendly and helpful; facilities clean and well-maintained. The restaurant next door is excellent; provisions and liquor are a short walk up the road. Downtown is just across the bridge. This is less expensive, less exposed to winds and much more pleasant than the downtown pier.

Marina Response:
Thanks so much, Steadfast - it was great to see you!

From Maine to the Keys, we have not had a better experience than at River Dunes. We are return visitors and it is always a pleasure to stop there. We look forward to another visit in the spring!

A most pleasant place to visit, both the town and marina. The Oxford Yacht Agency pier is solid, the bathhouse clean and roomy, management friendly and relaxed. John is not easy to reach by phone or VHF; we docked ourselves at the first vacant slip but there were no issues. Location is superb, at quieter end of town but still a short walk from shops, etc. A great spot and good value.

This is quite a lovely location, easiest to access of the marinas on Swan Creek. It's about 1.5 miles to "downtown" Rock Hall. If that's too much of a stretch-of-the-legs, there are loaner bicycles and--on weekends off-season--the $1-a-ride town tram. Picnic tables and gas grill are available under a grove of shade trees. The bathhouse is cozy but clean. Staff is friendly as are the full-time tenants. The piers are showing their age but overall, a pleasant stay on the quiet side of Rock Hall.

If you want to visit Croton-on-Hudson but don't anchor, there's no choice but HMBM. Steve does what he can as dock master but facilities are limited: one shower each in men's and women's rooms; same mildewed curtain as 3 months ago. Condo association does not allow boaters to use pool. Piers not well maintained; some areas covered in guano. Reasonable shelter from east and south winds but if there's any 'west' in the wind, it's not comfortable.

Another enjoyable visit, our second. The tie-along-side floating pier is solid, well-maintained. The new restroom in the boat shop is available 24/7; current shower is "rustic" but clean, roomy (and a new shower will be on-line soon). Museum is a treasure! Bus makes uptown "Stockade" area easily accessible; lots of history there. Also a good base from which to rent a car to visit other nearby attractions like Hyde Park mansions.

This is an attractive, well-run marina/boat yard. It has all the amenities you'd expect from a 4-star facility. For the most part, the staff is pleasant, helpful and professional. (On a busier than usual Sunday, those who were less than friendly perhaps were just over-stressed.) The bathhouse is just average. What holds this back from being a 5-star marina, though, is the location. Other than the restaurant and ship's store on site, there is nothing nearby. New Baltimore is not like other communities along the Hudson. The village is up a steep hill on a busy two-lane highway with no sidewalk(s), not that there's any reason to walk up there. But if all you want is a secure pier to tie up to for the night, you'll probably enjoy stopping at Shady Harbor.

Stayed for a month; have booked two months next winter! Staff support is outstanding, roomy slips with long finger piers, many resort-style amenities including day-long shuttle to Old Town Key West.

A significant easterly swell made the outer harbor extremely uncomfortable. The dockhand on duty, Jeff, said he could find a place for us. Jeff was super helpful, meeting us at the slip, taking lines, connecting shore power, all with a smile despite a steady downpour. Once at Yacht Haven, there was no evidence of the wind and swells that rocked the harbor. Very comfortable. Bathhouse so-so but a great place to be in a storm!

Excellent customer service from friendly, professional staff! Well-sheltered location about half-mile walk from downtown waterfront. Floating piers; heads and showers nothing fancy but clean and spacious. Nice pool. Reasonable rate. Positive experience all around.

Other than excellent location, nothing special. Bathhouse-laundry-restrooms are clean, well-maintained. Be prepared to dock on your own. Dock master Jack is friendly, helpful in other way but unable to assist with lines. Piers still functional but beginning to show their age. Overall, a good experience.

Full service yard if you need it; launch drivers responsive and helpful. Young woman at desk in dockhouse seemed to be having a bad day...every day. Popular restaurant on site. "Hiking trails" are at county park about .5 mi up winding road with no sidewalk. "Private Beach" is at Barrett's Island across harbor.

Marina Response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Kingman Yacht Center. We hope you'll visit again so we can work to earn the rest of those stars.

Good, reliable launch service from mooring field. Helpful staff. Nice lounge with big screen TV. Showers (one each, men's and women's) adequate but poor ventilation and no A/C leaves bathhouse stuffy on a hot day.

Marina Response:
Thank you for your review and for choosing Hawthorne Cove Marina. Customer feedback is very important to us, and we appreciate your comments about the bathrooms. We also love hearing that you found our staff helpful! We are continuing to complete several upgrades around our property, and we hope that you will give us another try in the future. We'd love the chance to provide you with a better experience!

Pleasant staff, deep water, clean tile restrooms/showers (among best). Good location with easy access to groceries, hardware, laundromat, shops and restaurants.

All we did was grab a mooring. The only interaction with staff was via VHF to report the mooring number. We were directed to pay via Dockwa. PIYC no longer offers launch service so we did not go ashore, did not use any PIYC facilities. It turns out that there is an Onset Town launch that would have provided service but PIYC did not tell us. No pick-up stick, single pennant, pennant messy. The best we can say is that the mooring held.

Good location, extremely gracious and friendly staff and members. Excellent location, close to downtown. Would get more stars but clubhouse amenities are basic, bathhouse facilities dated. Still, well worth the visit.

No problem with water depth at T-head. Steve the dock master was great: more than helpful, easy to work with when our plans changed. He can't help that the marina is run-down; the city's put nothing into maintenance of pier or facilities. Gate lock is broken, restroom/bathhouse is public facility, not well-maintained. Adjacent park likewise on down trend. But it's $1.50 a foot, i.e., you get what you pay for.
