It’s great reserving with Old Port to know you have a mooring in Newport. The location is the best in the harbor! They always answer messages promptly and are very friendly.
We pulled in late after changing plans. We grabbed an available mooring and requested through Dockwa. We received a very quick response. Nice quiet and protected mooring.
We approached the dock for fuel water and Pump-out. The dock attendants, Kim and Leah were fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. The showers were clean and free laundry meant a three hour wait line. We dinghied to the head of the harbor and walked into town a short walk. Nothing much of a town, but a couple of restaurants. Overall a nice stay.
We arrived at Abel’s on a Saturday afternoon. No one answered our radio or phone call. The restaurant was closed. The bathroom was a porta potty no services at all. The next day we triedto get transportation to town and again there was no help as described in the cruise guide. We walked a mile and a half to the free shuttle. We had a nice day in town and shuttled back. we discovered that Maine boaters are very inconsiderate. Everyone flew through the mooring field rocking our boats constantly.
Great location. Laundry and shower were fair. Bring your quarters, washer $5.50, showers by the minute. We Ubered to the main botanical gardens and had a wonderful day there. There was no Uber or taxi to get us back to town. Fortunately, a very nice volunteer drove us back to the harbor. Great testing nice town.
The mooring was just off the YC dock. The tender operator was very friendly. As we approached, we saw two lobster pots next to our mooring. We were told that it shouldn’t be a problem. The lobster pots floated under our boat many times.when we departed they were under water. Fortunately, got off ok. Current is super strong and boats fly by, not a relaxing stop. We walked to town 2 and 1/2 miles. Nice town, busy road. Uber back.
Great location and beautiful new facilities. The launch operators were friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We will visit again.
The dock stall was very helpful. The mooring was comfortable. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Dockside Marina.

Dock master Andrew was excellent, waited after hours for us and did a great job with our tie up. Restaurant was right there and we had a good meal. Unmarked restroom/ shower was very sketchy. We chose not to use it.
Staff and members were extremely friendly. The brand new floating docks are beautiful. Restroom/showers were updated and immaculate. Only a one mile walk to the bus stop making shopping convenient. Overall, a great stay!

The marina was well kept, bathrooms clean and had a very friendly staff. One dock person came in a half hour early to pump fuel for us so we could depart earlier.
Moorings outside the harbor get wakes from the ferry and waves from wind. The pump out boat wouldn’t come outside the harbor, making it very inconvenient to go to the town dock. Edgartown is a much prettier harbor and quieter.
Beautiful historic club house. The launch staff were very friendly and accommodating. The walk to town was an easy mile through a gorgeous neighborhood. Wish we had more time to explore the town.
Location, location, location! Best view of Manhattan and easy to get there by ferry. The staff was very helpful. The slip lanes are so tight! Be ready to test your bow thruster and skills. Restaurant on property- Maddy Rose was excellent and not too crazy prices.
Last minute plans and they were very accommodating!
Great staff and the facility is improving every year. An awesome place to visit with so much to do for all ages.

The dock master at Safe Harbor was very accommodating to our group. He went out of his way to check on updates to our roster and offered a discount to a large group. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for local knowledge. My only disappointment was with the loud music from the dock that played until after midnight.
