Very nice & helpful folks. Moorings in good shape. Good location. Only one with a launch service. It ain’t a yacht club launch , but it gets the job done and runs 9a-9p

Marina Response:
Thank you for the 5 stars and for staying with us!

Great staff, great moorings, great fuel dock, free laundry. Ding them 1/2 star for the only okay showers, but all in all one of the really good places. & then there’s all the mooring jewelry to ogle!

Really well maintained moorings spaced very very comfortable. Just a stones throw from their dinghy dock which is in great shape. Nice clean restrooms, showers, & laundry. Really well located for getting around the city on foot or on the T The downside is it can be somewhat rolly from ferry traffic, and noisy from helicopters and Logan nearby. But the craziest part is (at least at our mooring) how much we could hear and even feel the T going through the tunnel right under us. That was really disconcerting until we figured out what it was.

Lovely small marina I. A nice neighborhood with really nice people in a location really convenient to public transport to Manhattan at the right price. ‘Nuff said!

All good with one caveat. I tied up bow in and the slip was too short to secure a proper stern line. Stern in would not have been an issue as there were pilings port and starboard I could've sprung to.

GREAT stay with a very attentive dock master, Craig. Excellent communication both before and during our long stay waiting out a Nor’Easter & remnants of Hurricane Nichole. Good showers and head. Close to restaurants. Can’t think of anything even marginal to say. Exactly what we needed and more than we’d hoped.

Pilots Point is usually a 5 star experience, but today was an exception. For some reason there was only 1 person dock staff person on the grounds. As a result no one was able to assist on the dock catching lines. Got my 45' sailboat into the slip alone fine despite midslip pilings and minimal horizontal clearances, but it was not the typical Pilots Point service. An anomaly I'm sure, but...

Big fans of Jack’s and Dering Harbor. Convenient new dinghy dock in town. Fabulous little well stocked grocery with great prepared food and pastry, liquor store, fuel dock, hardware store with marine supplies. Beautiful, protected and mostly very quiet. And reasonably priced, too

Because our LOA is almost 45’ we were put all the way out in the mouth of the harbor at 42° 30.413' N 70° 50.362' W No protection from swells which made for a rolly pitchy night despite decent conditions & we’re on an Island Packet. It would really stink on a fat, light displacement/lwl boat

Marina Response:
We always give a warning for the outer moorings both on the website itself and via personal message prior to confirming the reservation. It is worth mentioning that we did not JUST put you all the way out at the mouth without fair warning.

Beautiful town. Big grocery, too. The folks at MMC were great. AT under 40’ I would absolutely come here, in order to get a mooring in the spectacular inner harbor. The issue I have is that any boat over 45 is given a mooring way out in the outer harbor. 42° 33.661' N 70° 47.374' W by GC 5. 15 minutes dinghy by motor to town, and a little rolly even in very settled conditions. THEY DID TELL US UPRONT, AND WOUND UP OFFERING TO LET US COME INSIDE, but by that time we’d settled in. You wouldnt want to be out there in lousy weather for sure. & in settled you might as well anchor, especially since they have no launch either, so at 80 bucks… THEY DID LET US KNOW ABOUT THE LAUNCH SITUATION IN ADVANCE OF CHARGING FOR THE RESERVATION, so really not complaning, just stating. UNDER 40 awesome if a bit pricey. Over 45 though, meh

Access to town great, as was staff. BUT - on the flight path into Portland Int’l. Which was very active in afternoon. The W dock they put us on is also on the narrow fairway for lots of tour boats in and out all day into the evening. Advise a stern in to help avoid that noise and gawking. Finally, The Sabre MY next t to us was partying with around 10 people and music aboard past 1:30 AM. Asked them to hold down the noise, with no result.

At first it could have been dicey. Got in and there was another boat on the mooring we were assigned to. As a result they put us at their dock, wth power, at the cost of the original mooring. Very responsible, very nice!. Lovely harbor. Very quiet. ALL GOOD!

Great stay. Very nice folks. Inner Harbor mooring, which was very settled and comfortable. We needed to change our arrival and departure dates multiple times because of weather and they were great about it.

Really nice stay. We were given a mooring well inside the morning area. Excellent protection & easy short dink ride to the dock. All good

Fairly pretty spot, and Salem is interesting for its sizeable historic area with lots of 200+ yr old buildings. Edges of Salem are ugly, though. Marina staff is very nice, though the Marina itself is nothing special, and no water out on the Tee to top up tanks

We had a very nice stay at Onset. I had several packages delivered tome there before and during our stay, whch is always risky, but the staff made sure i received them all, and even brought them right to the boat. Access to the Canal is as easy as it could be. Our shedule kept shifting before we got there which caused several cancellations and rebookings, and they were all takrn care of with no fuss and plenty of good humour. Communication was also excellent. We’ll be back in a month as we head home, and are lookig forward to it.

Marina Response:
It was so nice to have you with us! We've learned that sometimes the tides are the only thing on schedule and being flexible is part of the fun - we're glad that we were able to accommodate you. Thank you for your review. We'll see you in a few weeks!

Always nice. Lovely and quiet

Great stay during some snotty weather. Moorings were taken so we had to tie up at a dock. It’s all stern in and a right squeeze, which is not much fun, for a 45’ full keel bot with a non functioning bow thruster. But the harbor master and his assts were a big help and all was well

Stayed over for a cpl of nights bookending TS Isais. Marina gave everyone there double wide slips so we would have placenta of room. The wave arrester wall served very well, and it remained quite comfortable in all but the peak of the winds

We had a very nice stay. The place is up river a ways, but there was never less than 7’ of water with the tide 1’ above low. In fact, the shallowest spot is the before the turn by Bruce and Johnson. I guess they dont want you going past! Helpful staff so long as you dont get in after around 4:30. Easy walking distance to Stony Creek Brewery and Nellies Seafood, too. They place ain’t fancy, but 2 bucks per foot and free electricity its definitely a find!

Cove Marinas was a little bit of a mixed bag, but overall very good. The good -EXTREMELY calm and protected from the south and West, in the Lee I’d Fort Adams. Calmer than anywhere else in Brenton Cove, or probably anywhere in Newport. Denise who runs it was very communicative and flexible. We needed to change the date of our reservation less than 24 hours b4 we were supposed to arrive and she was exceptionally easy about it. The mixed-Strictly speaking these aren’t moorings. They are small Narrow floating docks secured to the bottom by moorings fore and aft. similar to what I’ve seen in rivers. As such you need to be ready with fenders and lines. Definitely more of a number than grabbing a mooring. We shared #1 with a charter cat which gave us much less privacy than a mooring would have. Finally, they were an extremely shallow spot-shallow like awash at low tide-RIGHT-in front of the the little dock making arrival and departure both a little tense.
