Wonderful visit to a small friendly yacht club. Easy mooring pickup, friendly launch operators, nice showers, close to town.
I had a great stay on a LM mooring for several days. Excellent launch service to shore and across the harbor to the town dock. Terrific showers, bathrooms and laundry facilities. Several nice places for a coffee, drink or meal right on the LM wharf. All good!
DiMillos offers excellent floating docks with stable electrical service, great water pressure, clean bathrooms, great security and a central downtown location. On this visit their service department helped arrange needed service on my Volvo diesel and some electrical issues, while being very accommodating on the marina side to extend my stay to complete the work. I really appreciated their support in all this.
Biddeford Pool is a sweet, beautiful location and the BPYC moorings are convenient to the clubhouse and dinghy landing. The fellows running the YC launch operation are knowledgeable , fun , helpful and welcoming. I enjoyed a one night stay and look forward to returning.
I had a convenient, well marked and well-maintained mooring ball in a very protected inner harbor location. The bath facilities in the Mariners lounge were excellent. From the Harbormaster dinghy doc you can walk into town for any kind of food.. You cannot match the Waterfront display of old schooners, fishing boats, and yachts as you will see in Gloucester Harbor. What a treat.!
Great location and no problem entering despite 4 kt current in the canal. Nice floating docks, bathrooms and laundry. Best dockhand assistance I’ve had in a long time—proper use of my spring line snub (thank you Sidney!!!). A well protected basin with two adjacent restaurants and others close by. All good!
A great harbor to visit for a few days. Convenient dinghy dock and dumpsters near the yacht club, free pump outs on the mooring and a free “ water barge” near green #9 can. Basic but effective showers at the North Wharf.Walk your dog at nearby Chappy ferry dock or around town. The Harbormaster’s office is efficient and friendly. A great place to stay for a few days.
The transient docs and related amenities have all been upgraded to absolute top-of-the-line. The dockmaster and crew helped us get tied up on arrival And the showers and laundry facilities were fabulous. If you like traditional boats and boatbuilding, there is no better place to spend a couple of days than Mystic Seaport Museum.
Great place to stop, convenient to lots of places to eat. Easy one and a half mile walk the beach. Friendly and helpful staff.
A well located and well kept marina
We stopped by in late September 2023 and had good assistance from dockmaster Dave in getting tied up. The restrooms, showers and laundry were all first rate. The whole facility is clean and well run, quiet but close to town, and a pleasure to visit. This is my go-to Marina in Solomons.
Very nice quiet marina with lots of attractive upgrades, including new floating docks and shower rooms, and free bicycles and a courtesy car. Great reception and help with lines .
We had a nice two day stay at Manteo. This is a protected harbor in a delightful small town with a rich history. The docks are in great shape with good water and electricity. Tidal range less than a foot. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops. Friendly Dockmaster and townsfolk. Very dog friendly. All in all a very nice stop. We have a 41’ trawler with a 4’ draft.
We stayed one night on our trip north. We got an easy tie up on the south face dock with help from the friendly dock master (Tim) who had called earlier to confirm our time of arrival. Solid modern floating docks with large cleats, stable electric power and great water pressure. Then had a good lunch at the on-site restaurant. A pleasant restful stop.
This is a convenient location to enjoy a visit to Beaufort SC. Next to a beautiful waterfront park your dog will love. Lots of nearby restaurants and shops.
Totally professional, helpful and pleasant from first contact. Made our stay very fun & relaxing.
Friendly, competent assistance and a great location. Free loaner bikes give you access to the best bike paths on the AICW. Very good onsite restaurant too!
Nice, well run operation in a snug harbor. Dog friendly. Fun bar/ restaurant and a pizza place on premises. Convenient ( but busy) fuel dock. All personnel were friendly and helpful.
Cuttyhunk is a quiet gem. We got a side tie up on the end of the “seafood” dock which was convenient for our pup. Lovely, peaceful island to stroll. Dock hands asked for a spring line as we were coming in and I knew we were in the hands of pros! We bought a couple lobsters right nearby and had a dinner feast. The harbor was busy on a Sunday afternoon but if you take it easy things work out. First you pass the town moorings and you can take your pick . Further into the basin ( somewhat shallower) you’ll find a number of pilings you can use as a mooring (skip any marked private or reserved; look for “Rental”). Still $45. Someone will come for the fee. A friendly, low key island with beautiful views, not to be missed.
We had a good experience at Danfords. Solid floating docks which kept us secure during Tropical storm Isaias. Located right in town with all kinds of restaurants and shops. Dock staff was very competent and professional. Good nearby parks for dog happiness.
Very nice modern floating docks, good help from dock master , roomy slips with full length finger piers, etc. easy 20 minutes walk to Target, West, Ace, and food places. Very nice stay.
We had a pleasant overnight stay on a hot day in July. We needed to plug in and run the air conditioning rather than anchor out. Enjoyed the pool. Pet friendly. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not open ( it was a Tuesday).
We took a mooring for an overnight stay in July. Manager/Owner Lee was a friendly, gracious host and put us on their beach cruiser bikes for a short ride to a suggested eatery. The grounds are pleasant and shaded even on a hot July day. Our pup was welcomed and our whole stay was relaxed and pleasant.
