NoReportRocking and surging waves are a constant problem. Electrical connections are poor or nonexistent.
Hi Roy, I am glad I was able to accommodate your last minute docking request, your early arrival, and your personal laundry requests.
Newport Marina is located on the Hudson River in New York City, a very rough river hammered by ferry wakes. Boats here do not sit perfectly still, which nobody claims. However, compared to every marina in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Hoboken, Newport offers incredible protection from ferry wakes as the dozens of other reviews here mention. Nearly all of the tenants here have relocated from nearby far-rockier marinas.
Your other comment, about "electrical connections" is completely baffling. You spent two days here plugged into a 50A receptacle which other boats have used without issue all year. You raised no concerns about the electric hookup during your stay. I have reached out to you by phone and txt trying to understand if you actually experienced any electrical problems here and you have not responded. All of our receptacles provide clean high voltage and steady current.

NoReportThe dock staff were helpful in docking but it stopped right there. I needed to know the wifi information and the pool passes but it was difficult to get the information. And the wifi is a joke. It is so weak it is useless.
