Spectacular facility and views, I was concerned about the ground tackle on the mooring but the staff said they can all accommodate a 62 foot boat. Lots of weddings during the summer so we weren’t able to have dinner at the restaurant and we slept too late for breakfast buffet but I’ve heard it’s amazing.

Great facility with amazing dock staff. And a free water taxi to take you across the short bay to downtown. The on site restaurant is a bit of a limited menu but food was good.
Without a doubt the most helpful and professional marina staff we’ve ever met and amazing central location. They set us up with fender boards at the dock. I even watched as a dockhand closed up for the night and heading up the dock stopped, put his stuff down, and readjusted someone’s fender lines. You don’t see that kind of dedication often. Plus the whole Black Dog family is just amazingly good people.

Really enjoyed the marina. The office manager (or finance manager) met me to help dock. Such great people. Nice facilities and great location. Only downside was the Robert Morris Inn was closed.

What an amazing find. Such a great location and right in the heart of everything and 500 feet from the beach. Great docks and staff. My only hesitation is not wanting other boaters to find this gem! I ended up staying an extra night it was so amazing.

Really beautiful spot to stop. Great Marina staff, easy to get a courtesy car to go into town which has a small grocery, liquor store, and several restaurants. We had an amazing meal in town at one of the two restaurants they recommended (I can’t recall which but it’s the two that compete with eachother).
Our second stay here. Beautiful boutique marina, easy walking distance to town, such a quaint beautiful harbor. Mike, the owner, met us at dock and helped us tie up and welcomed us. A great stopover spot right off the ICW.
Nice facilities and incredibly helpful dock team. Be prepared for a strong current when docking but the dock staff are pretty expert at helping.
Great stopover spot. one of the dockmasters, met me at the dock and was terrific even explaining stores and restaurants (limited) with in walking distance. They have a really nicely stocked ship store with a little bit of everything. Would definitely stop again.

Convenient location near the inlet. Helpful staff. Close to nearby restaurants. Just be prepared to be rocked early in the morning til fairly late at night as there is no seawall protection from the fishing boats heading in and out of the harbor,
Amazing dock team. I had planned to stay a few nights. Then it became a week. The dock team couldn’t be more accommodating or helpful. Nice modern docks and electric. A good wave wall to reduce wakes. And right in the heart of downtown Norfolk.
Easy access for the night. Nice wide docks. And so nice being right at the hotel and casino with lots of restaurants.
Amazing as always, Nantucket is just spectacular and the moorings staff are so attentive. We rode out the winds from the offshore hurricane on the mooring safely.
One of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever seen. At the end of a long bay spectacular facility with the nicest staff and customers and an amazing luncheonette on site that has provisions to go. The best lobster Mac and cheese I’ve ever had!

One of the best Safe Harbors I have ever been to. The dock staff were incredible. I was single handed and they were amazing helping me get all the lines secured to the pilings. Will definitely be back.
What a find! I had never stayed at a Morningstar Marina before. Absolutely beautiful docks. Very helpful dock staff. Beautiful facilities. And I loved the dog park. This is the first marina we have been to in 25 years that had one. I would search out Morningstar again.
Excellent location with beautiful pool overlooking the city. As others have said there are wakes as passing boats and ships go by. Docks are very low so be prepared to use a lot of fenders.
Good stopover location with easy access to the ocean. Friendly staff. Modest facilities, mostly a boat rack launch facility, just be aware there are lots of wakes from nearby traffic,

Very helpful dock staff, great location, but this was the first time we docked so close to the harbor entrance (slip 80). Rocked hard all night long making it. Edy difficult to sleep. Folks around us also has the same issue. We were told it’s unusual that it’s so rough inside the harbor so it may have just been a fluke.
The name is definitely accurate. Incredible sunsets. Very helpful and nice dock staff. The docks are definitely ready for replacement and they don’t have diesel or pump out. Sounds like they’ll be getting this done once permits are approved in the future. But beautiful spot.

Had such a nice time staying here that we extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights. Located just passed the very busy section of town, and convenient to everything. Kayla the dockmaster and her team were amazing. Definitely will stay here again.

Great location, very helpful marina staff and dockmaster was wonderful. Only reason for not 5 stars is the power is terrible. Everytime we and friends have stayed always issues with breakers tripping as soon as you try to run AC and hot water. We wound up using our generator much of the time.
Nice facility, packed restaurant, shuttle service to town was quite convenient but it stops running at 5pm which is early for a Saturday.
